Mommy and daddy were away to an event and Poppedijn stayed home. Before we left, we put our babygirl in a thick Megamax diaper with extra stuffer to be safe and comfy. Why is a time out embarrassing

Time out feels soooo embarrassing for a grown-up little because it makes me feel tiny and blushy. I hafta stand and be quiet while everybody knows I was naughty or too fussy. Even if my Caregiver is being nice, it still makes my tummy feel all wiggly because I’m not being treated like a big grown-up anymore.

Sometimes it feels extra embarrassing because I know I’m supposed to act mature, but instead I’m stuck in the corner pouting and thinking about what I did. It makes me feel small and silly and very aware that I need rules and care. That can make my cheeks all red.

But sometimes the embarrassing part is also what makes timeout feel important. It helps me slow down, calm down, and feel looked after. Even if I squirm and whine about it, deep down it can feel safe
