A healthier take on a traditional dessert are these Brownies with a Secret Ingredient. A secret ingredient that gives them moisture and fudginess without compromising flavor is black beans. You won't even be able to taste the beans in these gluten-free brownies! Ideal for an indulgent chocolate without feeling guilty.
Ingredients: 1 cup black beans, drained and rinsed. 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder. 1/2 cup almond butter. 1/4 cup honey. 1/4 cup maple syrup. 2 large eggs. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/4 cup chocolate chips optional.
Instructions: Grease an 8x8-inch baking pan and preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit 175 degrees Celsius. The black beans, eggs, baking powder, vanilla extract, honey, almond butter, cocoa powder, and salt should all be combined in a food processor. Blend until well combined and smooth. Stir in chocolate chips if using, then fold into batter. After filling the baking pan, level the top with the batter. For 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs, bake in the preheated oven. After letting the brownies cool in the pan for ten to fifteen minutes, take them out and let them cool fully on a wire rack. Cut the brownies into squares once they have cooled, then dig in!
