what’d I miss?
Every gaming relationship needs one of each, in my opinion.
PS: it’s from my book, nudge nudge
honestly? this is kinda romantic

Some huge news for bird lovers: I am thrilled to announce that this April will mark the release of “Extremely Accurate Birds: An Anatomically Precise Field Guide to Common Backyard Birds of North America” via Running Press! Been working on this thing for years now and can’t wait for you to see it…Nearly 200 pages of accurate bird information, observations from the field, and *extremely* accurate illustrations!
And: along with the book, Running Press is also publishing a coloring postcard set and wooden fridge magnets! I’d be honored as hell if you preordered a copy of the book — and if you preorder all three and upload the receipt, Running Press will send you an exclusive tote bag!

I can’t wait to show you just how accurate my bird illustrations have become…

New episode just dropped of Extremely Accurate Bird Songs… and it’s a big one. Our song for the Roseate Spoonbill goes full Vampire Weekend with legendary birding podcaster Ivan Phillipsen as the song judge!
Lots of other goodies too… this episode is STACKED from top to bottom with BIRD ROCK!!! Our quest to write a song for *every* bird species continues…. let me know what you think!

Some family-related Candy Hearts comics from my books that feel evergreen to me, lol
Both books are a really fun and not-corny Valentine’s Day gifts for anyone with a sense of humor, I swear!
Drew this parody Gadsden flag back in 2020 and it seems to be making the rounds again (for good reason), as the “freedom lovers” of MAGA are once again showing that there’s no boot they won’t lick… especially the boots of the masked thug army of their sundowning pedophile in the White House.
Every time it goes viral, I try to put it to good use — so I’m re-launching flags, tees, and stickers for preorder as a result, with 100% of profits going to Community Aid Network MN, a mutual aid organization in Minneapolis. If you’ve shared a version or an edit of it in the past, I’d appreciate if you shared this one to raise money for a good cause!

Some of my most-liked candy hearts comics this year, all from my new dang book “the secret lives of candy hearts”
It’s time to vote… which calendar cover was the best one…
2022: Canada Goose
2023: Eastern Bluebird
2024: White-throated Sparrow
2025: Indigo Bunting
2026: Roseate Spoonbill
PS: the 2026 edition is on its final printing (I won’t be doing a reprint this year), so make sure you grab one while they still exist!
ugh i just know i won’t be able to sleep a wink tonight because i’m so excited to see my favorite macy’s parade float
ok so i got some *more* constructive criticism from actual bird artists on my attempts at drawing birds. many said the legs weren’t realistic enough. i think i finally got it in this year’s calendar though, lemme know what you think
I’ve come a long way!
a recent New Yorker reject, for your viewing pleasure.
some fairy tale romance, from my latest book “the secret lives of candy hearts”
My cartoon in this week’s New Yorker is so musician-specific that I truly cannot believe it made it into print, lol
Candy hearts, shower edition.
