Lost Memories
Jewel: You'll never believe what I just heard.
Danny: What?
Jewel: The Garza brothers are back in town for the competition!
Danny: ...The Garza brothers? You sure?
Jewel: Danny. We can win this time!
Danny: ...I know I... We can...
Jewel: I can't believe it... It's been over ten years since the last time we were up against them. Nothings changed, I'm sure.
Danny: You- You're probably right Danny. Let's kick some Garza brother's ass!
Snowy sisters stay together. Right?
Feels good to be out on the slopes again.
WOW - I have returned! 1/13/2021
After being MIA for like, 2 or 3 years now, I’ve finally come back to introduce these two adorable cousins. Meet Jewel Augustine (blue hair) and Danny Augustine (pink hair). They recently moved in together to start a brand new life of being young, single, and snowboarding. It may not look like it, but these two are seriously talented on the slopes and could put any professional snowboarder to shame. I haven’t really developed a store line for them yet so were just gonna go with it. I love them already though and they also have 4 cats who will soon appear on this page as well! It’s good to be back (☆ω☆*)

[I didn’t make this apartment building. It’s a complex built by Devon Bumpkin! So if you want to see or download it, here’s the youtube video!]
Story Under Cut
"Come on, Kimi! Let's show you your apartment!" Mika broke in. "We saved the best one for you!" She added and my jaw dropped.
"You didn't have to do that!" I argued as the seven of us began walking towards the building.
"Of course we did! You finally came back home and we wanted it to be the best welcome home party that anyones ever had!" Sayori wrapped her arm around mine while Taro, being a gentleman (or as much of one as he possibly could be), opened the door for us. Entering, I immediately noticed how nicely furnished everything was. It was extremely modern and for the small size, it felt pretty big inside!
"You're right here, Ma'am." Dento joked, bowing in the direction of the door on the very first floor.
"Really?! The first floor?!" I was so surprised, I almost thought he was joking.
"Yep! First floor! Here you go, Kimi!" Mika extended a key in my direction and I happily took it from her. My first, real, apartment key! I couldn't believe all of this was happening. Taking a deep breath, I stepped forward and slid the key into the door knob. Slowly, I opened it to reveal the surprisingly large apartment inside. My eyes glistened as I stepped forward. Everything was sparkling and it was clearly brand new. The perfectly sized kitchen was to my right, where a tiny breakfast nook accompanied it. Next came a mini living room with a queen size bed hidden around the corner. A queen?! For me?! Normally people that lived in these apartments only had a twin to save room. But even with the queen in this apartment, there was still plenty of space! They really weren't lying when they said they saved the best apartment for me. After giving myself a small tour, I turned to all of them who seemed to be awaiting my review.
"Guys?!" I began. "YOU'RE ALL THE BEST FRIENDS ANY ONE COULD EVER WISH FOR!!!" I blurted out, grasping my hands to my chest. I could have emotionally fallen apart right then and there. Why had I been chosen to have such incredible friends?! Even after ten years of being separated, they still treated me as if no time had passed at all.
"We knew you'd like it!" Yumi smiled, flashing her bright, white teeth.
"Man, I'm gonna be hangin down here alot. Just sayin'." Taro reclined on what was now 'my' couch and placed his hands behind his head for support.
"I think that goes for all of us!" Mika giggled. Our group remained in my new apartment for the next few hours, slowly un boxing all my belongings. Thankfully, most of my furniture had gone into storage since the apartment came furnished, so the only things that needed un packing were my clothes and of course books and dvds and personal items as such. As the clock ticked, I helped organize things where I wanted them, and continuously thanked each of my friends for help. However, a part of me kept listening for the building door, just incase I heard someone come in. And of course, I would hope that someone would be Ryuu. Even though I was grateful for all my friends, it just wasn't the same without him. After all, he was my closest friend our of the entire friend group. I was really close to Yu as a kid and part of the excitement of moving back was seeing what type of relationship we would have as teenagers. Of course, I hoped for the best. I knew Ryuu and I had always had feelings for one another and now that we were older... I couldn't help but day dream about what we might become. But so far I hadn't even gotten a glimpse of him. Each time someone passed out side, I'd glance to see if I noticed his beautiful, long blonde hair strolling in. The anticipation of it all made me even more jittery, if that were even possible. Finally, the sun had set and most of my things were unpacked and put away, except for just a few tiny things here and there.
"Alright guys, don't hate me, but I'm exhausted." Taro sighed, leaning against the wall next to him. "I think it's time we call it a night."
"Yeah... I need to catch up on some summer school work anyways..." Satoshi stood from where he sat on the ground and placed his hands in his pockets. The rest of my friends began to get ready to head to their rooms as well, but none of them left without a hug. Although my first day back was coming to an end, I didn't feel anxious at all, because I knew all of them would be there first thing in the morning. One by one they left until it was just Mika and I standing in my door way.
"I'm really glad you're back, Kimi. Things just weren't the same without you..." Mika smiled her typical warm smile and I blushed.
"Trust me, I'm more than glad to be back." I answered, rubbing my arm with my other palm. With one last hug, Mika made her way up the stairs to her room and I closed my front door behind me. I was alone now, in this beautiful, brand new apartment in my old home town of Kawazu. Things couldn't be any more perfect. Except, of course if I could only see Ryuu. I thought for a moment and then it hit me. He did live in this same building after all. Maybe he came in when I wasn't watching? What if he was in his room this whole time!? Letting this thought sink in, I dashed for my door and opened it, peering out into our tiny lobby. On my front door, my name was displayed, so that must be the same for everyone's door right? I made my way up the stair case to the second floor, where I saw two doors. One was labled Mika and the other Taro. Of course those two would be on the same floor. I giggled to myself. Next, I made it to the third floor, where I found Sayuri and Satoshi. Still no Ryuu... but there was only one floor left. I quietly tip-toed up the stairs to the fourth floor where I first saw Yumi's room. And then, at the end of the hallway, I noticed a door that read "Dento and Yuu". They roomed together? Either way, I found Ryuu's room and even though I knew Dento had to be in there, the possibility of Ryuu also being in there was too great. I made my way over to the door and gently knocked three times. I listened carefully and a few seconds later I heard foot steps heading in my direction. What if it was Ryuu? What if I was finally about to see him! I desperately smoothed my hair and licked my teeth. Oh God, I had to make sure there was nothing in my teeth. And did I smell okay?! I didn't put any perfume on. I had been sweating from unpacking too. Now I knew I couldn't hug him too tightly. But would I be able to contain myself? What if he kissed me! On the spot! A dramatic, "I've awaited your return" kiss! Was I ready?! I didn't use breath fre--- My thoughts were interrupted when the door swung open, only to reveal Dento, standing there in his pjs.
"Hey, you okay, Kimi?" Dento asked. He had clearly still been awake so any fear I had of having awoken him vanished. I exhaled, half relieved and half disappointed that it wasn't Ryuu.
"Oh... yeah, I'm..."
"Looking for Ryuu?" Dento finished the thought that I was about to leave unspoken. I was that obvious huh? But how could I not be?! Ryuu was my best friend of all...
"Yeah... I thought maybe he came in while we were un packing..." I admitted, looking back up to Dento.
"Nah, he's not here yet..." Dento sighed, leaning towards the door frame so I could see inside. I believed him any how, though. I had kept a pretty strict watch while we filled up my apartment. "Hey Kimi?" Dento cocked his eyebrow and my gaze met his.
"Yes?" I replied while my hand nervously found my hair again. Dento was silent for a few seconds before continueing. I could tell by his face that he had alot on his mind.
"Ryuu..." Dento looked down. "I'm sure he'll be back tomorrow, okay? He probably just got caught up doing something... So just uh... just hang in there..." Dento looked at me with a gaze I had never seen on him before. Why did everyone get so weird whenever Ryuu was brought up?! I wasn't sure how to reply and I knew Dento wasn't saying everything, but I had no choice but to accept his answer.
"Okay... I will..." I spoke in disappointment. All I wanted to do was see my best friend, but the more I thought about Ryuu's absence, the more I began to believe he didn't want to see me. After standing with Dento a bit longer, I finally made my way back down stairs and returned to my apartment. My first day back had been successful in so many ways and that's how I needed to look at this. Plus, like Satoshi said, I'd have plenty of time to see Ryuu. I only just got there after all. I had a whole life time ahead of me! And I knew, some how I just knew, Ryuu was somewhere out there, looking just as forward to seeing me as I was to see him. I refused to allow myself to think otherwise. Tomorrow would be a new and brighter day. A new day I'd discover in Kawazu with all of my friends and this time, it would include Ryuu.

Story Under Cut
My eyes popped open wide when I felt the taxi jerk to a stop.
"Mm..mm?" I groaned, only then realizing I had dozed off during the long drive to Kawazu.
"Did you have a nice nap?" I heard my mother ask and I turned to her. Still a bit groggy, I nodded, giving my arms a good stretch. I sat still for a few more moments until I realized we still weren't moving. I looked out the window to see a four story apartment building and it was then I realized we had made it. "Well? Aren't you going to get out, silly?" My mom giggled and every ounce of sleepiness I once felt was gone. I burst open the taxi door and nearly fell forward onto the snowy side walk. I was really here! I was finally back in Kawazu and I was standing infront of my new home!
"KIIIIIMMMIIIIII!!!!!!" I heard my name sounding out in my direction. Before I could turn to face the front door of the apartment building, I felt two arms completely engulf me in a hug. "KIMI YOU'RE REALLY HERE!!!!" The voice repeated and I knew instantly it was my best friend Mika. I joined in on her excitement by wrapping my arms around her as well and the two of us simply stood there squeezing each other. I couldn't believe this was real. All of a sudden I felt like I was five years old again!
"MIKA! I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M REALLY HERE!!!" I smiled, continuing to grasp onto her.
"ME EITHER!!! THIS IS A DREAM COME TRUE!!!" Mika clearly felt the exact same way I did and it only got my adrenaline pumping faster.
"YO, KIMI'S HERE!" I heard another familiar voice emerge from the building and I knew it was Dento.
"Dento!!!!" I waved my hand at him, still being embraced by Mika.
"Dude, Kimi!" A third voice was present and I then saw Taro come around from the side of the building. The two boys took no time at all to run over to Mika and I, wrapping their arms around us as well. I couldn't remember the last time I felt so loved and at peace as I did in this moment, covered with my best friends.
"Hi Taro!!!" My voice became more high pitched with every word I spoke and I immediately could tell I was about to burst into the happiest tears of my life. After a few seconds longer of hugging, each of us finally let go and backed away, giving everyone some space. I took my sleeve and whiped my teary eye's, sniffling my emotions back up my nose.
"Oh my god, Kimi, I can't believe you're actually here!!" Mika's face was blood shot red and I had a feeling mine was as well.
"Man, this is gonna be awesome! We're all finally back together again!" Taro cheered while grabbing Dento's shoulders and shaking his friend back and forth. Dento laughed and just that simple sound of his laughter was enough to take me back. Dento always had the best laugh of anyone I had ever known. It was so soft and cheery and even if you were in the worst mood in the world, just simply hearing Dento laugh could turn your mood upside down. I couldn't stop looking from one of them to the other, just taking in the fact that I was right beside them again. I had waited for this day for ten years and it was finally here. They were all right in front of me.
"Do I not get a hug?!" I heard my mother shout out, grabbing each of our attention.
"Mrs. Cho!!" Dento was the first to sprint over, giving my mom a huge hug. Mika and Taro followed and I simply watched, smiling. "You're gonna open the bakery again right?!" Dento pleaded and my mom started nodding furiously.
"Yes, yes, yes! And you guys better stop by as often as possible!! I'll make sure to always bake your favorites!" It was clear my mom was already feeling back at home as well.
"That's like music to my ears, Mrs. C!" Taro swayed back and forth, noticeably unable to stay still. There was just too much going on and each of us were on full blast.
"Mrs. Cho, thank you so much for letting Kimi come back to us!!" Mika wrapped her arms around my mother, giving her a similar hug to the one she gave me. When we were all kids, all of my friends were close to my parents, so seeing them light up around my mother again was another feeling I hadn't felt in ten years. It seemed that everything was going exactly how I had imagined it in my head, which made it feel even more like a dream.
"Of course! She's missed all of you so much. We're ecstatic to be back in Kawazu!" My mom replied and looked up to me. "This move has been long awaited, trust me." My mother's voice was soft and I knew there was a bunch of love behind her words. "Just take care of yourself, okay Kimi?" Her voice grew slightly more serious and I rolled my eyes playfully.
"I will, Mom! And you're right down the road anyways, it's not like I'll be completely on my own!" I nicely argued.
"I know, I know! This is just all very new to me! You won't be under my roof! I feel like you're all grown up already!" My mother looked down and suddenly, I began to pity her a bit. I was so excited to live with my friends, a part of me had forgotten that my mom wouldn't have my dad with her for a while, so she'd practically be alone with her bakery. I walked over as my friends stepped to the side. I gently embraced my mother, resting my head on her shoulder.
"I promise, Mom. I'll come by every single day." I whispered, feeling her sigh in relief. "You'll never understand how thankful I am." I added, leaning back from the hug to see my mom was the one choking up now.
"Oh good grief! Go be with your friends!" My mother laughed, smiling at all four of us. "I'll head to the bakery and get settled in. And you need to do the same here!" She ordered, pointing at me. "And you guys help her! There's alot to unpack and she's a tiny little girl!"
"Don't worry, Mrs. Cho, we've got Kimi's back!" Mika assured her.
"Yeah, Mrs. C! There's nothin to worry about!" Taro also joined in, getting a slight glare from my mother. Although it had been ten years, my mom knew all too well that Taro was sure to be just as mischevious as he was as a child.
"And get plenty of rest! Don't stay up too late unpacking!" My mom continued. "I know, Mom..." I huffed.
"And call me if you need anything!" Another request slipped out. "Your father has his phone on too if you have an emergency!"
"MOM! I'LL BE FINE!" I giggled and shook my head. My mom bit her bottom lip and then exhaled.
"Okay, okay! Just... be safe Kimi." With that last comment, my mom disappeared into the taxi and the engine started back up again. We all waved and Taro playfully winked at her as she got settled back in her seat. The taxi began to move down the road once more and slowly disappeared around a corner. Finally, it was just me and my friends.
"KIMI?!?" Once again, I heard my name being called out and I turned around to see Sayuri, Satoshi, and Yumi walking down the street towards us.
"HEY GUYS!!" I dramatically waved and began jogging toward them. Mika, Taro and Dento followed behind and the second I made it to Sayuri, we jumped into each other with another welcoming hug.
"I TOLD YOU SHE'D BE HERE!" Satoshi claimed the other side of me, once again bounding me into a group hug. These types of welcomes would never get old.
"KIMI, YOU'RE BACK!!" Yumi joined in the cheering, grabbing me from the back. "OH, GOSH GUYS, I'VE MISSED YOU SO MUCH!" I melted into them as much as I possibly could. If I could stay in any moment for the rest of my life it would be this one, for sure.
"We missed you too, Kimi!! So much!" Sayuri answered me.
"Yeah, we all agreed you're not allowed to bail again!" Satoshi poked me with his finger, trying to get his strict point across. When the hug ended, all seven of us formed a circle.
"I'm never taking my eyes off you! Not once!! I don't want you to disappear!" Yumi whined.
"I promise, guys. I'm never, EVER, leaving again." I inhaled, trying to calm my jitters, but it was no use. I knew I'd be hyped up for atleast the next week or so. Or maybe even the next month!
"Did you like, Tokyo?"
"Yeah, are you gonna miss it?!"
"What was the big city like?"
"Did you make friends at your other school?"
"Did you meet any famous people?"
"Our town is the size of a snail compared to that, right?" Questions were being whirled at me from every direction and I answered as many as I could keep up with. I felt a calm wash over me knowing my best friends were still interested to hear about my life in Tokyo. I wasn't too sure how they'd feel about me filling them in on it, but it seemed to be a pretty simple task. The longer we stood there, the more we talked and simply gushed over each other. Although they hadn't seperated, I could tell they all felt suddenly closer just on the account that I had come back. I knew it would be this way no matter who left. Our friend group just wasn't the same when we were missing someone. And then I felt as if someone was kicking me in the back of my brain. How had I not noticed?! Why was I just realizing?! Was I really so excited I became completely oblivious?! Everyone was there except for Ryuu! What the heck was going on?! I blamed my not noticing on adrenaline, but now that I had noticed my gut suddenly twisted into knots. Where was he? Why wasn't he the first person there? I knew it would be a little odd since he hadn't written me in so long, but my heart always just told me he was busy. Surely he hadn't forgotten I was coming back... My ears blocked out everything being said around me and I began looking down the street we stood next to. Then I looked in the other direction. There wasn't anyone in sight.
"Hey, Kimi, you okay?" Yumi looked oddly at me and I returned her gaze.
"Oh! It's nothing I just... where's Ryuu? He's the only one not here!" I stated, obviously bothered by the lack of his presence. Suddenly, all the chatting stopped and it was silent for the first time since I had arrived. I stared blankly at everyone who awkwardly began avoiding eye contact with me. This only got more weird?! "Guys?" I asked, suddenly confused by the mood change. "Is he on his way?" I asked again. Why did everyone start acting so odd?
"Oh, uh, yeah!" Taro began, scratching the back of his head. "You know! Ryuu, that guy... He's uh, he's just--"
"Running late!" Dento interjected, "You know he's never been good with times and... stuff"
"Yeah, he probably just got caught up doing something!" Yumi jumped in, but I couldn't help but just stare at them. Was there something I missed?
"Oh...?" I replied, raising my hand to my hair. I twirled it nervously without even noticing until Satoshi wrapped his arm around my shoulders.
"Don't worry, Kimi. You have plenty of time to see Ryuu! He lives here too after all. He'll probably be back some time tonight!" I could tell Satoshi was doing his usual 'Satoshi thing'. Calming me down. I looked at the ground and then back up at everyone. Satoshi was right. I'd have plenty of time to see Ryuu! I had just gotten back after all and having even one of my best friends there was a dream come true. But I had all six!
