Here it is! The culmination of our pandemic hobby combined with a thing we started doing in 2018 - an actual book on doing chain bondage. During 2020, we wrote the content and took some photos that didn’t require people. After we were both vaxxed in 2021, I set up an entire portrait studio in my home, booked and coordinated with people to be photographed for it, and edited well over 200 images in open source software. I had to learn that software on the fly too (Darktable has too many buttons).
We thought we were going to self-publish and were being mentored through the processed for months until the latest mockup was sent to our mentor and they decided it should be published professionally. (Ask me about self-publishing - I know more than you’d ever want to know these days. Also ask me about preparing a document for printing using open source software. I was going to do a Toastmasters speech on the topic, but it got way too long.)
This book fills a niche that has existed for decades and never been quantified or filled in any way, and I would really like to see it in stores one day. If you’ve read this far you can help by donating to our presales campaign. Even $5 helps. $5 from 1000 people is $5000. So check out the book site, and follow the link to the presale :)

What’s a bondage material that you can heat up, cool down, apply vibrations to, electrify, and even turn into impact play?
We’ve all heard the adage - that BDSM is just whips and chains. Well, believe it or not, there are no books on the use of chains - until NOW!
You’ve seen bondage on streaming networks and in the movies. Fifty Shades may have teased you with silk ties and Bonding showed you rope, but immobilizing a body with leather cuffs, shackles, and heavy steel chain can help you establish the kind of dominance you’ve been looking for in kink and BDSM. As a bottom, chain can make you feel utterly helpless to achieve that submissive space you’ve been seeking. Whether you want to be exposed for sex, or impress others in the dungeon, this how-to manual will teach you the basics of chain bondage techniques.
Introducing the first-of-its-kind how-to book on chain bondage! With over 220 different images and graphics, and 15 models of different body types, racial and ethnic identities, gender identities, and sexualities, The Art of Chain: A Guide to Steel Restraint is a detailed step-by-step guide on beginner to advanced harnesses, negotiations of a scene, safety and mitigating risks, and combining harnesses into scenes and chain bondage play for the ground.
Published by the same company that brought you Shibari You Can Use and More Shibari You Can Use by Lee Harrington, and Essence of Shibari by Shin Nawakiri, The Art of Chain is now available to order ahead of our first print run!
Reserve your copy today at igg.me/at/artofchain and you can order a signed copy for yourself, a copy with a personalized message for your friend or partner, an ebook to read on your devices, and even reserve your spot in a virtual group class later this year or get private lessons for you and your partner!
Or you could be one of two supporters to get one-of-a-kind desktop sculptures featuring posable mannequins painted in Culture Hustle’s Black 3.0 or White 2.0 and dressed up in unique chain harness patterns.
If we reach our first funding goal (full coverage of a 2000 book run), everyone that donated at any physical shipping level will also get an art print card of one of our models.
Second funding goal (full coverage of a 4000 book run), and everyone gets access to a pre-recorded virtual class.
Third funding goal (full coverage of a 6000 book print run) and everyone gets custom enamel pins - who doesn’t love pins???
Reserve a copy for yourself and tell your friends to reserve theirs so everyone can get those extra perks!
The Art of Chain
This is the book my partner and I wrote during the pandemic! We did the entire thing on practically almost no additional budget (outside of what we already had) and made the entire book, video, and audio using free, open source software.
Even if bondage isn’t for you, we would really like to get it published and printed. Please reblog this to help make this a success!
Please help get the word out about our book!
Please help spread the word about our bondage book.
There is pretty much an association out in the kink world that bondage only means rope bondage. There are many other types out there, but none of them are documented until now. We are pretty sure that we are the only ones promoting a media other than rope for kinky sexy times.
Even if you’re not kinky, helping us in our campaign will help get the word around that there are alternative bondage styles out there that might be more accessible to people. Creating a much larger bondage scene is one of the most important things that can be done under the kink umbrella. It helps everybody.
Some techniques from the book combined into a quick solo bondage scene

I redid this older comic I made for my storytelling class based on this post. Have some cute wlw love in your day.
It’s hard, if I had more free time I could make it so pretty, this is what I could throw together for the assignment.

*hamlet voice* tbh or not tbh
I know this is going to make me sound pretensions but I have to get it off my chest. I feel an unimaginable rage when someone posts a photo and is like “this picture looks like a renaissance painting lol” when the photo clearly has the lighting, colors and composition of a baroque or romantic painting. There are differences in these styles and those differences are important and labeling every “classical” looking painting as renaissance is annoying and upsetting to me. And anytime I come across one of those posts I have to put down my phone and go take a walk because they make me so mad
In case you’re curious here’s what I mean.
Renaissance(distinct lines, stability and the individual man):
Baroque (bold, chaotic, dramatic):
Romantic(romanticize the simple hard working life):
Do you see the difference?
op is a vampire who painted works in all of these times
How can OP be a vampire if they misspell pretentious?
Oh all of sudden vampires can’t make typos? What all of sudden vampires can’t be illiterate? Get off my dick
important story differences
we are already living in the cyberpunk future and i know this because within a span of 3 days we went from this tweet:
to thousands of people making phony images and replying to them with their passionate desire to have them as a tshirt to overload the bots with nonsense and junk and send out warnings to shoppers like this:
and now we even have people replying to pictures of baby yoda with “i want this on a tshirt” knowing how ravenous disney is being with copyright in hopes to get the stores taken down altogether
i dont know what it is about stuff like this and the whole turn mei into a symbol of hk protesters thing but, its really reassuring for some reason
And the next step…
https://teezyli.com/
Holy shit y’all look at the front page of the site right now
Oh my god
Anyway, I just emailed [email protected] to report the site for very evilly stealing Disney’s IP! Because obviously that is very evil and bad and shit.
I’ve never seen such a perfect example of fighting fire with fire.
Holy fucking shit
I’m DYING.
More accurately
NFT bots have met their match in the form of t-shirt bots stealing their 'exclusive' works. Here's how it's all going down.
The next generation…
https://www.gizmodo.com.au/2021/10/nft-bots-tshirt-online-twitter-war/
This is like a “you gotta get a box of cheese, a mouse, and a cat across the river” puzzle except the goal is to get them all to eat each other somehow
Trolley problem but you try to maximize the kill count
Someone said in the comments that making an item with the NFT on it increases the value. Not sure what to make of this post.
