Werewolf Maternity 🐺

How do I even put this into words? On the one hand, its about transness, lycanthropy and motherhood, parenthood. On the other hand, it's me slipping into my thoughts: I'm only wanted if there's something I can give. If I want people in my life, I'll have to give and give and give, and be eaten and consumed. My body is only loved when consumed, when it produces. That's why I'd rather think my offspring will be cubs, free from the curse of humanity to live in a kinder world. The curse of lycanthropy doesn't strike at midnight, it arises with sunrise. _____________________________

Some of you saw the collage/WIP (thanks for the love! I'll link it in comments). Here's the finished piece! 100x70cm watercolor paper. Watercolor, pencils, soft pastels, oil pastels, charcoal, white oil paint and anything that sticks to a paper honestly. In the future I'll add more body hair, it was just tedious to do with a small brush and early carpal tunnel :P EDIT: reuploaded images for more accurate colours

Calling out before the thought had settled

about a monster what can you do except

Collage for the next big painting (it'll be a 100x70cm)

I'm doing a project on licantropy and transness, because both are about transformation and being perceived as an outsider. This one is kind of the opposite of the Capitoline Wolf (and will be way hairier). Feeding the "beasts" but let's say this is like Fiona from Shrek: the curse isn't turning into a wolf at night, but becoming human in daytime. Fitting in around the people who want you dead is the real curse 🤪

It was finally Friday night and Wade and Logan enjoyed their well deserved rest by watching whatever was on TV, cuddling each other. [...] “Ah but these are just for show, aren't they, sweetie?” Wade's thumb was back against Logan's lips, forcing him to open his mouth to trace his flat front teeth and inch closer to a fang. Logan surprisingly let him. “Ah foouldn’t-” he tried to warn Wade around his finger but the other had already pressed the sharp point against his thumb. “Shit, they're sharp.” He pulled his hand back to look at the fat drop of blood growing bigger until the wound closed. Logan raised an eyebrow as if saying ‘I told you’ and leaned to lap up the blood. OR: There's something they haven't tried yet and Logan needs some convincing.

This is inspired on @ollie-ollie-ox 's Smoke Between Your Lips because it's so good 🫣. Say hi to Ollie, everyone! Go read his stuff!
