WORD. (at Beverly Hills/Hollywood, Ca)
DAMN: I just had a flashback from last week's impromptu night of partying; I pretty much have to go to the next "Kiss & Grind" event . . . @kjroseeffect, @brycethe_7, you down? (at Arena)
Ezekiel 25:17 - "The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you." - YOU CANNOT SHAKE HANDS WITH A CLENCHED FIST. (at Eifel Tower,Paris)
ARENA: What started out as me being "kidnapped" by a friend for quick trip to LAX, to help drop off another friend, ended up with me at three back-to-back parties (when I was supposed to be working). The best jam of the night was this last joint at Arena where I ran into so many of my people - e.g. @brycethe_7 / @blaqtacular_the_great / @kjroseeffect / and so many others! (at Kiss N Grind)
THIS is a bangin' ass party!!! (at Arena)
A quick trip to the airport with a friend led to hitting a trio of parties in LA when I was supposed to be working. But, I ran into the homie Bryce, Black, Keana, and err'body else tonight (LOL)! (at Arena)
FLASHBACK FRIDAY: One day 8 years ago my boy woke me up by punching me in the face (LOL!); I suspect this photo was taken right before he started pounding me pulling on my ears and biting my nose - I miss him SO much right now! (at Spanish Harlem)
Flashback Friday: Vic and I posted up and holding it down for Kill 'Em All and the rest of the crew back in the day. (at Castle Greyskull)
'Lito & Boots: I don't take many selfies. But, when I do, it's 'Dos Equis' on top of the world . . . Or, at least, atop the W Hotel with my bro' in pursuit of the master plan - i.e. saving this crazy world from self destruction while plotting and scheming to make billions of dollars in the process (to help those who need it most {our children}). (at W Hotel Roof Top Pool And Club)
God speed to Nichelle Nichols (http://cnn.it/1MrWMw2) who, as the Lt. Nyota Uhura of the USS Enterprise ("Star Trek"), was the subject of endless fantasies for me as a prepubescent, would-be Trekie. She was particularly scintillating playing way against type in "Truck Turner" as the 'ratchet' nemesis to Isaac Hayes; Dorinda (a female pimp and heir to an organized crime ring): http://bit.ly/1dSrXpd Get well soon @NichelleIsUhura (at USS Enterprise)
MISS my boy SO much right now!
THROWBACK THURSDAY: The Opening Title Sequence for "Hip Hop Hold'em" was DOPE; even if I say so myself (we should bring this show back with a new spin!): https://vimeo.com/125012264
RIP: Leonard Simon Nimoy - he will undoubtedly be the uncompromisingly logical "Mr. Spock" to most of us (forever). However, it was his bone chilling narration of episodes of "In Search Of" (http://youtu.be/gQJAYVbslIE) that scared the daylights out of me as a curious latch key kid watching TV alone in the dark every Saturday night in the 80s that ingrained his status in my brain. Moreover, his brilliant portrayal of the crafty but stoic Science Officer of the USS Enterprise truly informed the way in which I attempted to master the struggle with choosing sound strategy (higher nature) over unbridled emotion (lower nature) when facing chaos in my own life as a pre-pubescent boy . . . His undeniable talent and iconic presence will be sorely missed; "live long and prosper" (he did exactly that in real life).
Amen
