“Arya’s not? Reckon it’s a bit of a hybrid thing?” He questioned, he was trying to think whether Oscar was part of a pack or not. Those were the only two other hybrid werewolves he had met since being in Boston. With a snort he shook his head. “I met Frida. Do you try to recruit all the newbies? Are you slowly trying to convert the whole of the Blue Moon to you pack?” It was the last name that piqued Ivan’s curiosity, or moreso the tone that Tony used when he talked about Jacob. “Who is Jacob and why the fuck are you being so coy?”
“Could be, I guess.” Tony said with a shrug. “I don’t really know. I mean, s’not like you guys couldn’t hang with us. We don’t care about that shit, not like Circle does. Buncha stuck up assholes there.” Tony gave a little grin at Ivan’s accusation, laughing softly, “Nah, nah, it’s not like all that. Frida’s looking, I mean she wants more wolves in her life, and hell, we’re all right there. She gets on with us well enough, why not offer her a spot?”
Ivan’s further questioning though, made Tony’s grin flicker. “Just this guy I met at the bar.” He explained, keeping it short. “Older wolf, but he keeps to himself.” And then, remembering flashes of things he’d seen at Jacob’s house the morning after. “I think he might be a cop, too.”
