The pond is looking wonderful this afternoon! The koi are getting big.

Our 2nd attempt was way better. Modeling clay is the easier (and way cleaner) option. 😆

I had a great idea to make a mini Monster Jam course with the boys using Plaster of Paris. Instead...we made a huge mess of the garage, our hands and clothes. I the no the ramps will work, but I had no idea what I was up against when we mixed the plaster. Once it started hardening...things got crazy and really messy. I think we’ll have some cool jumps for their little toy monster trucks though! Waiting for them to dry so we can paint them.

Workbench alley needs some “work”. Spring cleaning tomorrow?

I fought Dominic today on our welding project. He want a frog and I told him we didn’t have the metal pieces needed to make one. He kept fighting and saying that springs are perfect for frog legs. I went through the garage and saw a trowel that I thought could work. We heated it up and bent it over our little anvil and then welded some nails and nuts to it to make the frog he wanted. 🐸 I got my mind on a robot after we started pulling out pieces from our scrap metal pile. He was into it at first, but when it came down to crunch time...he just wanted a small frog. We did it first and then I went to work on the metal robot I started envisioning. ribbit.

Trying to bring this guy to life. 😂

It’s a beautiful afternoon, so we’re taking the old girl out for a w-a-l-k (it’s best not to say it out loud).

What an awesome night I had learning to blacksmith an ulu knife at @757makerspace! I’m hooked. My kids are enrolled in a blacksmithing class there tomorrow.
