I love all the character's wedding outfits, but Ryis's is an absolute stand out to me 🥹

every time ryis sees you at the work bench in town he'll join you, pick up something you're working on and start to help immediately. he starts small talk without acknowledging that he's helping, he doesn't ask anymore.

he always works a little too close to you, his hands brushing against yours when he reaches for nails or wood glue. he gives you a grin when he starts telling you about the birds he's seen, how the blue jays are doing, and how there's already a nest in the new birdhouse he built.

he nudges you when you ask why he's helping and he tells you it's because he loves you. he also tells you that he's taking you to the inn after he's done working, you don't have a choice because you need to relax and it's his job to spoil you. he kisses you when he has to go, adeline has some new project for him, and tells you to be safe and he'll wait for you at the inn later tonight.

ryis is confident and sweet as is, but I think when he's drunk it's multiplied by 10 :)

he's not sloppy like march, but everyone can tell he's had something to drink by the way he acts around you. he fawns over you, stares at you with heart eyes from across the inn with the dumbest smile on his face, and gives you the most tooth rottingly sweet compliments.

ryis decided when he has a chill day so do you. no mining, no working (other than watering and feeding/letting out animals - and he of course helps you), so carpentry. nothing. at first you fought it hard, giving him so many "but what if"s he had to eventually cut you off just to tell you to sit down and relax with him.

he bird watches on these days, and you sit right next to him. he doesn't mind if you don't watch alongside him, he's just glad you're there. sometimes you bring a book, a crochet project, or a sketchbook. other times you look with him with your head on his shoulder.

his hands always stays on your thigh and you both stay quiet unless he sees a bird he really likes. he always looks over to you with the biggest grin on his face and points to, then goes on to explain every single fact he knows about it.

he always ends the day with taking you to the inn. he always pays, and will swat your money away if you try (which always earns a wink from josephine for the chivalry and a chuckle from hemlock.) he walks you home and helps you put your animals away, then he loves to linger.

he loves to tell you in a roundabout way he wants to stay over, giving you excuses of "it's a long way back" or "it's supposed to storm tonight I want to make sure you're safe," instead of saying it outright. you always agree with a chuckle and he gives you a wink. he holds you tight when you drift to sleep, snuggling into his chest, as he kisses your head telling you it was such a great day to relax.
