Day 173: I’m Flying, Finally!

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been wanting to experience how it feels like to be flying. Up there with the blue sky, where it always seems to be at ease. Finally, I fulfilled this dream. It might sound simple to many, but to me it means so much. How was it you may ask? It feels normal actually, it’s like having a bus ride on my way home only it’s higher.

Maybe the next thing I should try is something with “para-” in it. Parasailing, paragliding, parachute? Nah the last one is a little too expensive for me.

Anyway, it was good if only our flight back home wasn’t delayed it would be perfect. Overall, it is a good experience. Hope I’ll be flying soon! Dear me, I need funds!!!

Day 172: The First Jump Is Always Scary

It is indeed, but as you bravely face the succeeding ones it becomes more bearable as it goes on. Things are usually scary right before you take the plunge into it. Nobody says it’s easy, but regardless learn to face it with confidence and you’ll repeatedly relive that victorious feeling.

Day 170: Off the Shore

Of the 99%, I’m part of the 1% minority who’s not entirely a beach warrior. Maybe because I’ve never learned how to swim or I’ve drowned a few times already, the water’s too salty, and I mean the reasons are just endless. But, being with people who really enjoy everything about the beach, it is unavoidable to not give in to their persuasion especially when they’re using the terms, “get-together,” “fun times,” “worth it,” and “one-of-a-kind experience.” I mean who am I to say no to that?

Anyway, given that fact I’m not really expecting at all! Maybe that’s the reason why I enjoy every single trip we’ve gone through. I am surprised myself that there’s no hint of regret in my system during the journey. In fact, I truly and sincerely enjoy it. Maybe it is not bad to loosen at moment like those because that’s exactly what I did when we went to Boracay, just a few days ago.

Although it is tiring and draining, I never missed the opportunity to challenge myself in trying new things. During the trip, I have this mantra to live at the moment and try as much as you can. So, I did! The end result? A priceless experience you can never find at any shop or store out there.

So, I guess, that’s just about it. Cherish every moment and try to live the life you deserve.

What's It About?

Today I was trying to sound smart by using words that are beyond the understanding of normal people. Something that can make me feel special and superior over the whole of humankind. But, then something at the back of my mind clicked and said, “Why try to become someone you’re not?” The question just keeps me thinking for hours and hours, until I simply give up.

The voice talked back again, “See there’s no reason to push yourself towards that blind direction.”

I guess you’re right. I keep on asking myself how can I become this and that person without reflecting on my own self. Right now, I’m still trying to find and root my confidence because I’m really having a hard time.

Day 169: The Free-Flowing Rain

The silent tears of heaven are suddenly approaching the barren and dry land. It is indeed refreshing to some extent, however, at that same moment it makes you feel weary and cold. While not entirely sure about the circumstances around, you decided to give it a try. Alas! A splash of not-so pleasant, but enlivening sensation goes in.

Day 168: Left Hanging or Not? People come and go. Some may choose to stay, while others leave you behind. Throughout the whole process you'll realize one thing, those people who decided to remain with you despite your imperfections are the most precious. Stop looking for somebody who doesn't even know your worth. Instead be with someone who actually appreciate you through ups and downs. Then, don't forget to treasure them and place them right where they deserve to be. Just like how you value those photographs and mementos. Day 167: Lights and Whites The dine in place we've visited last time creates a good ambience that invites its guests to enjoy their meals. What's more is you can freely choose your own table. So, if you want something outdoorsy, artistic or cosy, you may simply find one. Simple joys indeed! Xoxo, "A"

Day 166: Under the Umbrellas

Though not entirely obvious, I made up the caption based on RiRi’s hit song. As of today, my mind totally went blank and can’t think of any creative counterpart for this photo.

Truth is, I’m mentally drain due to work. Well, maybe that’s not true. Okay, I’m just being a lazy pig right now. The weather is making me like this.

Rain and umbrella is a good pair, don’t you think? When you feel like your emotions are pouring out, find something that can protect you from it. Just like how umbrellas protect you on a sudden downpour.
