{So I haven’t really touched any of my affiliated blogs in a while. For the most part, it’s cause things were getting a bit overwhelming and schoolwork was piling up crazy fast; I’ll spare all the little details of my busy-bee work schedule. I’m not sure if I should try and pick back up where I left off, start fresh, or just go on elsewhere to write for a bit. Plus I think a lot of people have joined the group since I last came onnn.      [ ➤ ] The gamer remained completely oblivious to the      other’s interest in the pink backpack. No one exactly took      even much notice into it. If it hadn’t been out of habit of her      hands clutching the straps. There were times she’d often      forget the thing was there. As the other made her move to sit      in the arm chair, she watched her with heavy eyes. Nanami      never exactly spoke with Pekoyama, perhaps both due to      their silent nature. If for both different reasons. 

     ❝You wouldn’t impose… I could teach you but… You can watch.❞

The fans continued their constant humming overhead, warding off the  island’s summery heat. After a fruitless day running laps around the  perimeter, it was nice to recline in such a peaceful, quiet atmosphere. Nanami was one of the calmer of her classmates-- so she didn’t quite mind her company. As the fear of having interrupted the gamer girl dissolved with her reassurance, Peko crossed her ankles and folded her hands patiently in her lap. The energetic tune continued to carry through the room-- a soundtrack suited for an upbeat battle. 

           ❝ ...What is it, exactly, that you’re playing?❞

{ There's going to be a teensy delay with replies on all of my blogs-- I'm really overwhelmed with schoolwork lately and can't find the patience to write my replies in a way that's satisfyingggg.                Must be another samurai way— he thought, because ninja so                     openly carried around weapons. Of course the majority were                     concealed on their person, but some weapons such as kunai and                     shuriken stuck out like a sore thumb, the pouches clear on a person’s                     body.                             ”Kinda. I’m a shinobi so its kinda a given we can use weapons.                             I prefer jutsu though ‘ttebayo. But I ain’t got that many skills..”                     Thinking on it now aside from the shadow clone and rasengan, he had                     little going for him. He supposed the sage mode counted, and so did                     the kyuubi cloak— weird how he never really noticed how limited he                     was before.

       Rose colored irises slant and sharpen with equivalence of a blade as         she listened to what he had to say. At first glance, he didn't seem to         be an immediate threat. However, people could not be so foolishly         judged by their outward appearances in such a dangerous world such         as this. Therefore she resolved to study him carefully henceforth-- as         there was always the lurking possibility that he might take an attempt         on her Young Master's life. Whilst the flaxen haired shinobi insisted         so nonchalantly not to have many skills, she was still cautious. 

          ❝ So... I take it that you're skilled in martial arts, then. I see. ❞      She spoke thoughtfully low, nodding once as though to herself for a moment.      It was truly rare to cross paths with a shinobi, after all. Was striking a simple      conversation an attempt to catch her unguarded-- or was it genuine? She       wasn't yet certain. Supposedly, only time could tell.

     [ ➤ ] It left her mind wondering how long the silverette had      been standing there. Only having picked up on her just      moments ago. Had she been there the whole time? Or did      she simply just walk in? Though, she supposed it didn’t really      matter. Blinking up at the kendoist, she tilted her head.❝…Are      you sure…?❞ Turning to look at the game in front of her. ❝…Did      you want to play the game too?❞ No one ever seemed into playing      it save herself. But for the gamer, playing with others is what made      it fun.

  While her short-lived dreams of petting the undeniably cute and soft pack   were dashed, she didn't reveal even a speckle of it on her outer expression.    Reluctantly, she perched herself down nearer to the gamer in the armchair   neighboring hers. The kendoka's mouth fell somewhat ajar at the invitation   and her eyebrows slanted towards each other. Never before had she played    such games, after all. Nor did she expect Nanami would actually ask for her   company. Peko tipped her head to the side, peering into the pixellated world.

  She was perplexed, to say the least, and gave a long pause of consideration.

 ❝Forgive me for interrupting you. I... I would not want to impose... Truthfully, I    have never played such games before. Would you mind it if I observed instead?❞

   Ah, one of the quiet ones. She was stern, sure (the little perfectly timed glare didn’t do anything to help — he hoped she realized she had frown lines and wrinkles in her future), but she was also willing { PROBABLY NOT REALLY } to listen to him babble on until putting her own voice out there. Always a dangerous personality to have, because he loved picking on the patient ones. Give him just a little leeway and he’ll take it to the moon and back. She’ll regret it. The thought gave him a warm, fuzzy feeling in the pit of his stomach. Or would’ve.

   Ever the optimist that he was, all that aside, he didn’t falter in the face of her so very rude inquiries. He kept that smile on his face (not that he had much of a friggin’ choice), his back straightening. With a curious tilt of his head, he let out a quiet ‘ooooh' in response.

   “’Gripe?’ ‘Complain?’ Are we talking about the same bear here? Much as I hate to be the BEARer of great news, I would never do something as CHILDISH as whine about stupid things.” He was ignoring the fact he’d just done exactly that, of course. “Can’t a good Headmaster just check in with his beloved students without being accused of having some kind of shady agenda? You know, I’m a much nicer bear than you guys give me credit for.”

        And despite her efforts of restraint, the bear still possessed the nerve to carry on as always. Even at this early juncture in their island life, she could expect that. He was troublesome and dangerous-- there was no reason to lower her guard even a centimeter around him. She was hardly cooperative in small talk, often giving monosyllable answers to all who wanted to know her better. While she was discreet-- she tried to create at least some distance between herself and her classmates. In the case that she might have to.......

Monokuma had already presented his first motive for killing-- and she was sure his head was stocked with plenty more where that came from. Ever since it was presented; the notion of killing and resigning herself to death was already engraved in her mind. 'I will not hesitate to kill anyone--' were the Young Master's words that night. While it might've seemed to be just an empty threat at the time; it wasn't implausible either.

It made her slightly nervous to think that the bear might have been trying to probe into her mind or push her closer to that point. She tried to encourage herself away from the subject, envisioning an afternoon meditating to hone her mental defenses... and maybe she'd fix herself some tea. She tried to ignore Monokuma to see if that might make him go away-- but to her dismay, he was still there. Still smiling. Her expression conveyed on its' own that she wasn't buying in to what he was saying. 

❝ ... You speak of killing as though it's just a game. There aren't many who would take kindly to that. ❞ However, to continue on like that would only be playing into his charade. ❝ I suggest you leave unless you actually have something important to say. ❞

              “Bamboo..? Ain’t really a sword then.. or is it?”                   Clearly knows nothing of the ways of a samurai.                            “Guess it saves ya injuring yourself, huh?”

        ❝ It's just a practice sword. I generally use it for training and sparring.            I own a blade of steel as well... but cannot carry it so freely in public. ❞

      A change of subject was necessary-- speaking freely of her strengths and        weaknesses was unideal. It was unwise to reveal such things so freely. 

  ❝ And yourself? Are you well-versed in weaponry? Or perhaps a fighting style? ❞

{ might be an assassin: }

    ❝He may consider you to be a samurai I’m guessing? He usually tries watching me practice for kendo if I missed club activities.❞       It’s merely his own thought about it, she gave off the impression she was a samurai in one form but the rest, he supposed he would find out given enough time. Personally, it’s not abnormal for the azure fool to train somewhere in the dorm when he missed it or if their club activities weren’t on that day due to his weapon of choice. Swords were the only thing he could lift without far too much issue if it isn’t two handed plus too heavy, additionally, he even could recall trying to lift an axe before… it did not go too well given the weapon almost hurt him repeatedly with each attempt to strike. Although with that aside, he only found himself to watch the pair, Koromaru was happy around her and it seemed their newly gained samurai friend was pleased about it. Ferocity she may have, but, it didn’t seem judging a book by its cover is what one should do here.       ❝He’s actually a dog we took in, his previous owner died in an accident so he stayed here protecting the shrine for when he comes back. He got hurt one day and one of my senpai found him then got him medical attention, since then he’s been in our dorm, save for when he wants to see the shrine. That’s when Koromaru tends to get one of us to take him on a walk here.❞        For the best to not fully explain the truth, she did not need to know about Shadows and the Dark Hour. Nor did he think Koromaru would want him to explain that he, a dog, had gone as far as to just summon his Persona to defend this shrine valiantly. How appropriate for the hound who revered samurai and was loyal to his master even with his death.

        This tidbit of information did come as a slight surprise for her. Her brows knitted together only slightly as she looked up to study him in puzzlement. So, perhaps he, too, was well versed in kendo. While she didn't want any reasons to have to suspect him yet, she knew that even in this state, she would have to keep her guard up. There was no telling if he was hired by someone who wanted to erase her existence, after all. He could be an assassin-- a spy. It didn't seem likely; but one could never be too careful in the world she lived in. Brushing her cautious thoughts away for a moment, she nodded fixedly and continued to stroke the dog's soft fur. This moment was to be treasured in full before it was gone again forever.  Slightly troubled, she bit her lip. It was conflicting, whether to keep indulging herself or to try and investigate this stranger a little further. 

Her radar for danger gradually faded into white noise in the back of her head as she listened to the story he began to tell in regards to the dog's whereabouts. The tale of such a valiant, brave dog was truly inspiring and she found herself holding even higher respect for Koromaru, if possible. In a way, they were kindred spirits. Protecting their masters' at all costs, going at lengths to make sure the person they cared about was safe. 

                     ❝ Ah... You must have loved your master very much. ❞

She whispered this to Koromaru, lowering her head in respect and closing her eyes. Whether she was taking all of this too seriously may have been up for debate-- she couldn't help but act this way, in the presence of a dog both so fluffy and so admirable. She stayed like this for quite a long time before realizing that it'd be best for her to say something more rather than wandering too far into her own mind and losing her composure. Blinking away her deeper thoughts, she looked up at the young man once more. 

         ❝I will truly never forget this favor for as long as I live-- thank you. It has been so long... since I was last able to pet something so warm and fluffy. Ah... and... before we go any further, I suppose I should introduce myself. My name is Peko Pekoyama. It's an honor to make your acquaintance. ❞

It’s easy to see the fear in the other’s eyes, and there is nothing more Yukari wants than to falter herself. But she knows that won’t help anyone. She isn’t going to die here, and she’s not allowing the other person to die either. So when shadows appear from the side, her eyes narrow. Adrenaline kicks in her system. Her heart flies at miles per second; her mind is racing with possible escapes and thoughts. But the only thing she can do is grab the other’s wrist and pull her forward.

“They’re already here—! We need to go! Now!”

And she drags her to run quickly and hurriedly. The faster they outrun their enemies, the better. But it’s easy to see the shadows coming from the side, and with ease, she uses quick body positioning to shove the woman into a side alley. A hand reaches for her evoker to point at her head.

“Io! Use Megaru!”

     Her mind is raced in equivalence to their combined footsteps thrumming against the asphalt. A throbbing head, pounding heart, running feet. Everything was moving so fast. Even so, she had grown accommodated enough with danger to know that it was better to fight first and foremost-- and ask her questions later. That one moment of weakness cost them time; and was an unforgivable mistake. Veering into an alley, Peko pressed her back against the chipped cinderblock. Well trained, it didn't take long at all for her panting breaths to become light again. And just as she was regathering her senses, she looked to the side to notice the other girl pointing a gun to her head. Color drained from her already pale face to look sickly, but she was deathly still. Perhaps she decided not to interfere, due to the strange command that was uttered at the same moment.

Before she could even process the use of the gun itself, a figure that clearly wasn't human appeared, basked in a glow, as though it were a deity. And then an inhumanly strong wind carried through the air, causing both the hem of her skirt and her braids to flitter about. In turn, the strangely shaped creatures writhed about in it and were knocked down. This... couldn't be real. However, the more time she took trying to process it, the less likely her survival in such conditions would be. So for the time being, she  reached to unsheathe her shinai. 

          ❝ W-we have to fight these things... is that right...? I can help. ❞

   ”In basic terms, it’s another writing system.”

   Temptation to give an example passes, hand left lingering half-out    of his pocket then shifting back securely within it. Her remark gains    only a shrug (he knows little of blades), but the boy agrees quickly    regardless, “The original owner must have treasured it, surely.

          It’s a little sad not to have a clue what makes it so personal, though.”

    Thoughtfully, she gave her head a slow nod and closed her eyes.      While blades could not typically speak-- being raised in equivalence      to one made her emphasize with the stories such objects could carry      with them in every nick and stain; like battle scars on the skin. 

    A sentimental smile was ghosted upon her face, twitching at the corners.

  ❝ The most important thing is that it was taken care of in such a way that       its initial design remains. It likely served its purpose until the very end. ❞
