How did you celebrate Fourth of July?
Last year, I was in the PICU with Nora. We were on vacation in Florida and her platelets dropped to like 1000. Which is very not good and very dangerous. We spent a couple nights in there while they gave her medicine at the children's hospital. She's doing so much better now. They diagnosed her with ITP. But also said that for most kids, after they get one treatment, they never have issues again, we will still always have to watch her for signs.

We have working lunches at my job. We stay on our kiddos, and we have to eat while they eat, as well as continue to run trials and/or take data. However, while my kiddos eat lunch, I usually take my pump break, so I don't have to lose as much trial running time.

I have a routine that I usually stick to, especially during the week with work, and I will write extra stuff that pops up on my calendar. But I don't really have an official "to do" list. It'd probably help though.

I haven't finished Iron Flame so also have read Onyx Storm... although Andarna and Tairn are my most favorites from that series. I love Booth from the TV series "Bones." He's so protective of her even before they were ever a couple.

Getting older kind of terrifies me, and 10 years older I'd be 41. And I'd miss my kids growing up. So I'm going 10 years younger.

I don't know that I missed A LOT, but I definitely missed some school.
What are some weird habits you have while eating/about food in general?
The weirdest habit I have with food is probably needing to tear pancakes from McDonald's into small pieces with my hands instead of using a fork and knife. At home I use a fork and/or a knife, but because my mom used to use her hands at McDonald's when I was A LOT younger, I guess that stuck with me. That's just one example.

Oh man. All the things these days. Today I was almost crying at work because one of our kiddos was super upset and crying. So seeing other people, especially kiddos, upset can make me cry. Heartfelt or super sad videos on TikTok. TV shows/movies/books. I cry over everything these days.

I don't know. I cry about everything, like I said, lately. Lol.

I don't smoke at all. And I drink very, very rarely these days. I might have wine every once in a while, or a margarita or two, but it's very rare.

Having a house of our own where my parents, two youngest sisters, and grandparents aren't also living.

I used to be a good Christian girl that believed in god, but now I don't. There's a lot of different things I used to believe but don't anymore, but that is probably the biggest one. Oh, I also used to believe that I was pro-life because I couldn't ever see myself getting an abortion, but I was fine if others did, because their body their choice. Now I realize that was always pro-choice.

I honestly don't know. I haven't felt good about myself in a long time.
How would you describe your overall (or preferred) personal aesthetic?
My overall aesthetic is just leggings and oversized t-shirts I guess. My preferred aesthetic is somewhere around whimsical goth-ish but I don't think I'd be able to pull off the clothing or decor for my house, especially with my entire family still living with us.

I try really hard to not do that, but it happens.
What was the last thing you did mostly because society expected you to?
I guess being the default/primary caretaker of my babies. I wouldn't trade it for the world - I love all four of my kids more than life and they are the only reasons I am still alive - but it's definitely a large part because of society that Jake gets off pretty easy in the parenting department.

Today. I have been feeling out of place in every aspect of my life lately.

I definitely would be surprised if we were the only living beings in the entirety of the universe. But I don't think of aliens in the traditional sense, nor do I think they'd ever come to earth if they did exist. Angels.. no. Spirits.. maybe. That's an area I maybe am a little conflicted.

I wish I could just finish my last 16 weeks of school and be done with my masters. I have been working SO hard and so much longer than I planned to. I should have been able to finish it last year.

I don't remember. I do most of my walking at work around the center I guess and then stores and whatnot these days. I want people to go with me but we don't necessarily need to stay together and workout.

Longest would be my parents, obviously. Shortest would be my 11-month-old because she's, well, only 11 months old.

Last person to leave was the HR lady at work, Ashley. She got fired due to a co-worker talking to the boss about a personal conversation they had outside of work. And she either deleted facebook or blocked me again (there was a whole thing several years ago after a bunch of my friends from work got fired when she worked there the first time as an RBT and not HR). Return to it... I guess Heather since she's back to work after being on maternity leave.
When it comes to travel, what kinds of places intrigue you most?
I just love to travel. We have only ever traveled to a few states in the United States since we live there and don't need a passport, but I would love to explore outside the US too. I hope to someday at least check out Canada with my kiddos. Would love to make it to Italy or the UK though. Also, the Philippines is another one - my sister-in-law if from the Philippines so when my brother and her do their wedding there, I really hope we are able to go too.
Do you think humans colonizing Mars is a good idea? Would you go, if you could?
Considering how badly we have destroyed earth, no, I don't think it'd be a great idea. Why should we be allowed to do even more damage to yet another planet? I would not go. I likely would not be able to afford it even if we wanted to and it was our only chance of survival.

I don't know. I don't ever track it.

I don't make them because I don't usually follow through with them anyways. I have been trying to have a goal for number of books I read in a year, and I set them too high the past two years, so that is all I do. This year my goal was 25 and I have read 24 so far.

Favorite junk food is probably cheesecake or ice cream lately. Favorite health food is probably fruit lately. I've really been wanting watermelon.

Uhhh. Just hung out and talked I guess. It was Jacob's sister and her boyfriend(?)/the father of her baby.

I really need to put my family's laundry away. Again. But that will probably have to wait until tomorrow.
9. Where was the last place you went shopping and what did you buy? Uhm. I guess it was Walmart. I bought Jacob snacks that he wanted and a few things to take for lunch for me this week to go with my dad's chili.
10. What was the last big change you made to your physical appearance? Well, I'm almost 24 weeks pregnant with our fourth baby so there's that. That's a pretty big physical change.

I definitely do both depending on who it is and the situation.

Jake and I went to Chili's on Saturday night. We were supposed to go to Olive Garden with our littles, but he ditched us because evidently, he had to help someone with their car instead. By the time he was done, our babies had eaten but I had not yet.
13. If you have any pets, do they seem to notice when you’re sick or sad? I have two dogs and a cat and I think they absolutely notice. They are always more cuddly and protective.

I hope so. I'm currently in the internship portion of grad school (which isn't going super stellar, but it is what it is) but hopefully it leads to me finishing my degree and becoming a therapist.

Jake was asking where Wyatt's medicine was because he actually helped me with the kiddos a little bit this morning.
17. Are your hobbies something you’d rather do alone or with others? I feel like most of my hobbies are ones I prefer doing alone, such as reading or watching TV. However, if my kiddos want to cuddle me while I read or watch TV, I definitely won't complain.
18. Is there anything about yourself that you’re trying to improve? I have plans to improve my overall health, especially after little girl is born.

I got Eliana up and ready for preschool, and then took Wyatt to his school after I got him around. Obviously got myself around after I got them around, and I went to work until 2 today after dropping Wyatt off at school. Then I picked Wyatt off and dropped him off at home before coming to my internship site because they are having me shadow/provide co-therapy with another therapist here. I have one more client (on my own via telehealth) from 6:30-7:30 pm and then I need to stop by the store on my way home to get new headphones for Wyatt for school. When I get home, I'll probably eat a bowl of cereal and throw laundry in the washer, and then go to bed. Because tomorrow will be another busy day with getting kiddos up and where they need to be, work, OB appointment (have to do my glucose test), putting laundry away, and then supervision through my school from 8:30 pm until 11 pm. I can't wait to be done with school.

21. When was the last time you visited relatives? Do you see extended family often?
We visited my brother Saturday night and ended up spending the night and spent all day Sunday at his house too. Which is nice because we haven't really got to do that in so long with his work schedule as an EMT.

I took a nap in my office before the co-therapy appointment. It wasn't very comfortable, but I needed the sleep.

I doubt it. I have a presentation to put together to present next Tuesday.
