After over two years of waiting, Doodles are out.
Finally I can rest easy.
So the one place that I donāt like to visit often is the ToonTown Reddit.
The thing is, itās just suchĀ a negatively overrun place. Iām very glad that there are people who understand how difficult it is to do work for the game, while also having a job AND being on a Harsh University course. Iām glad that they understand the hard work the Technical Operations put into fixing the game day in, day out.
But the community has become so much of a negative majority now. So many donāt understandĀ how difficult it is to have all these things run at once. Trust me, Iād LOVE to fully dedicate my time to TTR, because I LOVE working on it! Itās fun to make people happy, to contribute to something people enjoy and know I helped make it. However, there are people who also suggestĀ āFixesā to the game, despite not actually knowing what the real problem is. Weād love to tell everybody what it isĀ thatās wrong, but if we were to make continuous updates about how things have been slowing down due to Heavy Workloads and unforeseen bugs, it wouldnāt necessarily motivateĀ the community, and the younger, ACTUAL audience may not understand it.
We really donāt want to keep people in the dark, but at the same time if we just said everything that was wrong, people would either try doing what they do now, which is telling us what to do rather than accepting itās a problem, or just as usual, making up rather stretched assumptions about what happens behind the scenes.
The reasons also behind not hiring people at the moment are because much like the work, we really donāt have the time to dedicate to interviewing, testing and introducing multiple people onto the team during busy periods, as well as while weāre all doing our own work and committing to our own, personal lives.
Please trust me when I say we REALLY are trying. We want to push things out, but one problem after another keeps coming up, but the huge amounts of negativity are just really demotivating. Please remember, there are people, who regularly use the internet to communicateĀ behind the team, and it breaks our hearts.
I wish the negative parts of the reddit would just be overrun by positive things about the game and the team while weāre working, because it would boost morale and production, but I have a feeling theyād all get downvoted by the people who really just seem to want to punish TTR for doing nothing less than really, trying our best.
Weāre sorry we canāt meet everybodyās expectations.Ā
We really are. But please, try to understand.

but first i just wanna express how much iāve enjoyed being in this fandom and how much fun iāve had. even tho there have been many downs as well as ups, itās honestly been indescribable. iāve had the time of my life and iām so glad that i was able to make so many new friends. thank you all so much for the experience!!!!

@toon-artzy - WOWIE KAZOWIE artzy is another one of those toonblrs who iād never thought iād be able to be friends with !!!! but like the others iām so so glad iām friends with her !! sheās so cute and funny and kind and has A+ art (like everyone else) and i just. i rly look up to her too !! i love her a lot even tho she kills me with oc angst :^)
