i love how many master/butler duos there are in kuro to look at considering how mysterious sebastian and ciel’s ending is. there’s grell and madame red, where the supernatural creature in the duo is sorely disappointed by her master and chooses to murder her. then agni and soma, where the supernatural butler dies in service, saving his master’s life - similar to the campania when ciel believes for a moment that sebastian has done the sane. and sullivan and wolf, where the master gives the killing machine lacking an identity meaning, letting him live up to his false name.

we see so easily how sebastian and ciel can slot into each of these scenarios, asking the reader to consider what our main two will become. personally, i think these reflect the evolution of sebastian and ciel’s relationship in some way, building up to when these other duos have passed them by and so now they can have their own ending. i do think sebastian and ciel will eventually be (and probably already are) unique against these other masters and their servants, but the parallels are interesting ! :3

i love sebastian that is weird and unusual by demon standards. i feel like this is already kind of canon based on the way the reapers act toward him. but i just think sebastian is this weird overly emotional demon who feels human things like love and affection and attraction, and the other demons are like "what is with this guy..."

i think all the other demons are truly in it for the meal, and sebastian may have been that way at the beginning, but now it's been years and he's still obsessively faithful to his master. sebastian loves kitties and cooking and baking and music and ciel.

what i super super duper love about black butler is you can really tell sebastian and ciel love being alone together in a “we can be ourselves” kind of way. like. they split up from everyone else and they immediately revert to the two most awful creatures on this earth. they blew up a tank and made jokes about it

literally zero reason NOT to make your awful comments, the only other person here would LOVE to hear it

it's like if you and your bestie got to hang out literally all the time but your bestie is also the demon who you made a contract with who is also your butler who is also in love with you

except w a fun flavor of toxic preteen/teen girl relationships.

literally "not sure if you’d use my deepest darkest secrets against me but i’m still gonna tell you them anyway bc i know either way you would willingly die for me" (one sided, at least, on ciel’s side but seb is in love w him so whatever)
