God I absolutely love Zatanna's design so much like she just looks so cool, from the punk rock aesthetic, to the giant Z on her back, to even the way her blue color scheme contrasts with WW red, and the fact that it's a clear reference to wonder woman's biker design from the 90s is such a cool detail and in my opinion fits wayy better as Zatanna's look instead, I also really love how she isn't overly sexualized this time like she is in the main universe with most of her outfits either consisting of fishnets or the playboy bunny look, which is definitely a huge plus, bruh I swear Hayden sherman just does Not miss when it comes to their designs, definitely one of my favorite one's for sure

Jamal Campbell’s Zatanna is of course peak because he writes and draws her so well, but we should address the peak of the supporting characters.

I am always in awe of how much love he gives in drawing background and supporting characters, and how an abundance of them are black, and they’re diverse within that. All the different hairstyles, different body and facial shapes, style, demeanour. Having a black comic creator, even in a run of a white character, is so great because you look at the pages and see so many faces of people of colour. But it’s not just the drawing and inclusion of black people, it’s the care he puts into how he includes them. They have so much personality and feel so authentic. They’re there because why not, but also are written with their culture addressed and important in helping Z/the plot. The music and the backstory-thingys within it !!! Mentioning voodoo but not just by name and as a gimmick, but rather as part of the magic, with elements of it actually discussed, and used to help understand the situation !!!
