Oh FFS I’ve been over and over this with too many people already. One more time. You can still study the effects of porn by asking people how often they watch, what they watch, when they started, when they last watched, and then compare it to other measures such as happiness, aggression, ED and so on. This is because the porn exposure has happened outside the research setting. What you are NOT allowed to do is bring in human subjects and expose them to porn in a lab setting. Because research has determined that porn has irreversible negative effects and it is unethical to expose people to a known harmful substance. You also won’t find lab experiments that purposely expose people to cigarette smoke, or radon, or paint thinner, or snake venom, or other harmful substances. If you don’t understand the difference, I can’t help you any further.
