There’s much better ways to process through sexual trauma, and none of them happen on a bed.
They’re on Reddit saying texting “hi” is low iq and gives people the ick and that’s why they got ghosted. They don’t let u say hi no more….. we’re in a loneliness epidemic bc everybody is a weirdo about every little thing im cracking up
If you say "hi" and that's it you sound like you don't give a shit. Why would I want to talk to someone who won't even introduce themselves properly? Make an effort or suffer your loneliness epidemic.
You people are crazy . You’re just crazy. This isn’t a normal world anymore
at least in nyc, for the price of one set of acrylic nails, you could instead go to the beach by subway every single saturday for the entire summer. alternatively you could go see three movies in the theater, or take yourself out for a couple cozy dinners, or cap off the workday with live jazz every night for an entire work week, or visit two or three medium sized museums. you could also just save it. sock it away for an emergency. or buy a weirdass vintage lamp or something. you have options, when it comes to treating yourself. nobodys saying you can't have fun. just think about what more you could do for the same damn price as crippling your hands costs. you'll be absolutely amazed at what you find.
Women are raised to fear men, yet if you explicitly say that you fear men it’s wrong…?
From a young age, you are told not to hang out with boys and “they only want one thing” and you hear stories in the news of women being kidnapped, assaulted or murdered by men. Or that if you go out, don’t be surprised if your drink is spiked and to take measures to prevent this etc etc. Fathers especially hate the idea of their daughters being around men because they fear for their safety. There is this general idea that is taught to you as a woman, specifically as a young woman (16-24) that there are men out to get you and you need to be very cautious.
But if you say that you’re scared of men, you are immediately met with statements like “don’t say that” “not every man is bad” “you shouldn’t generalise” “well then how do you expect to find a boyfriend?” “what about your dad or brother?” “that’s a little dramatic, don’t you think?”
So which is it? Are we to be scared of men or not?
I think you’re supposed to be scared of an anonymous generic man in the distance, not the specific man in front of you.
Ok but that “specific man in front of you” can be anyone’s “generic man in the distance.” They’re all the same
Exactly
The richest french man, Bernard Arnault, is living la vida loca on his yacht. It got me interested, seeing as mortality has sky rocketed in France and our country is burning with every new year of global warming.
What's the point of having a yacht when you already own a house, I asked? It's just another house on water. So I looked up what was so special about this man's yacht. I'm sure he has good reasons to kill people for it.
I didn't quite get why a man would need a cinema on a boat, to be honest. I'd watch the sea or go diving, if I were him. Golfing also seemed an unusual activity to have on a boat. Maybe dolphins were catching the balls for him. And couldn’t he use a public cinema or watch movies at home on the couch or in bed like a rest of us? That was weird.
I took note of the olympic-sized swimming pool he was building, but thought it'd be weird to force athletes to go on a boat to swim in a pool.
Surely the swimming pool wasn't for him. He was 77 years old. What Olympic Game was he going for exactly?
The helipad seemed a bit wasteful as well, a yacht can move to the shore, can't it? Then I read that the city of Napoli, Italy, had refused its port to the yacht because it was too tall. So his solution, apparently, was not to stop his nonsense but to add an helipad.
It reminded me of another beautiful yacht story, the one where Jeff Bezos, the billionaire who owns Amazon, tried to build an even bigger yacht which, in the end, couldn't even leave the port because of a bridge it was too tall to pass.
Bezos suggested dismantling the bridge. As one does. But the stupid peasants disagreed and the bridge remained.
Is it a penis thing? The size obsession? I asked myself as I sipped through my recycled paper straw. Arnault's yacht was already the size of a football field. And it had a big penis shaped thingy at the very top.
So anyway, I looked up how much his lifestyle was costing the world. Was I exaggerating by saying that this guy, and all men like him, were killing people?
I was not, in fact, exaggerating.
Another fun fact reported in an article was that, during one trip on the Mediterranean sea, his yacht’s carbone footprint was the equivalent of 150 years of one french person’s life.
I like those numbers. It really puts things in perspective for peasants like me who think littering is the epitome of evil.
In one little trip, just on the sea bordering his own country, he had more of an impact on the world than a human’s entire life of driving a car, using electricity and water, getting deliveries or wasting food and material, etc.
So, yes, billionaires are killing people.
With that cleared, I went back to my initial interrogation: why live on a yacht when you have a house?
I don't have a house. My dream is to own a little house. I would be set for life if that was to happen.
So I wondered, what's the point of owning multiple villas when you already have one house? Then I asked myself, what's the point of buying several mansions or a ski resort when you're an old man who already have several houses? It's not like you need the room for your kids at that point.
Then I was puzzled: what kind of man buys an island? Sounded familiar, somehow.
That seemed like a lot for one man. And my electric bike would have a hard time competing with that, in this ecological race we seem to find ourselves into.
But I also thought, you know, with that much land I'd make a refuge for animals, a women's shelter, a facility for the disabled or something ecological. He clearly wasn't, so I wasn't sure what he was doing.
Something productive I'm sure.
However, at 77, he clearly wasn't working any longer, so how productive could he be really? He wasn't renting entire planes to go to the office everyday. But the money seemed to be coming in regardless. He was the only man on the top 10 richest men list who was not from the USA.
I thought well, maybe his work is beneficial to the world at least. What's he making? What's his big invention? After all, his business was destroying our national parks and burning animals alive for a reason, right? I was sure his employees were being paid a fortune as well, clearly he could afford it. But what was he selling?
He was selling overpriced clothes, make up, perfumes and watches, apparently. Clearly useful stuff that needed to exist for the world to function.
He'd also bought several news media, an interesting trend among billionaires you'll notice. It doesn't make much money, so I'm sure they do it out of a life long passion for journalism and educating people with facts and valuable informations.
And so, for this useless man selling useless things to buy useless things, money was piling up. And yet, he wanted more, scheming and hiding to pay as little taxes as possible.
Meanwhile, our government says they're sending emergency air conditioning units to hospitals as we speak, so they're on top of things, nothing to worry about. Of course, air conditioning is not sustainable, it accelerates global warming and relies on electricity which relies on nuclear plants which rely on cold water and there's no cold water anymore because of global warming so the nuclear plants stop working and so does electricity and therefore no air conditioning.
Oops, they hadn't thought of that. Who could blame them? They only had 20 years to prepare.
Also they think we should work more hours, stop complaining about heat strokes and recycle our garbage or something.
The one thing they’re certain they can't do, however, is tax the rich more. Not because they're friends with them, no, haha. But because if they do, then the rich will leave France (we'll miss them so very much) and invest in other countries. They might even buy islands in the bahamas and store their money offshore. Oh wait.
I was confused by one thing: those billionaires have children. Don't they care about the world they leave for them? And then I thought about that science fiction scenario I made up as a kid. I loved writing stories. Turns out it's a famous trope: the world goes to shit and the rich remain unaffected. They go on a spaceship and leave this burning planet, they hide in futuristic fortresses, they create bubbles of peace and plants (and air conditioning I'm sure), while the rest of us kill each others for water. It's getting more and more believable now.
A local news outlet just published an article: top 10 French cities to move to to survive the next heat waves.
I'm ending this post with a cool picture of somewhere in France where Bernard Arnault certainly doesn't live. Not as cool as owning an entire hotel, I'm sure, but pretty impressive. 200000 of his compatriotes had to be evacuated because he's having a pissing contest on an ugly boat.
La vie est belle. We used to behead men like him for much less.
You know how a lot of poor white people still vote for the Republican Party despite their policies and red state governments hurting the poor because they recognize that the GOP upholds white supremacy, and they ultimately value the benefits they get from white supremacy and treating racial minorities as inferior beings above all else?
Right, good. Now say that men uphold the patriarchy despite it sometimes hurting them* because they ultimately value the benefits they get from the patriarchy and treating women as inferior beings above all else. You’re now on a block list lol
(*still never as much as it hurts women though 💃)

lol girls really aren’t allowed to enjoy anything if a girl wears vans and american eagle jeans and posts selfies on vsco she’s a basic bitch if a girl gets drunk at parties and wears tube tops and has sex she’s a slut if a girl has pressed flowers in her phone case and wears doc martens and eats vegetarian she’s an ~ uwu wannabe quirky girl ~ if a girl hangs out with guys and plays video games she’s still a slut she’s just pretending to be a bro we aren’t allowed to enjoy anything or be ourselves under any circumstances you can really smell the misogyny can’t you
Misogyny makes the assumption that women are never sincere about anything, and bases its entire ideology on that
You can enjoy whatever you want, but you can’t stop people from having dumb opinions. Do what you want anyway.
"Don't call me frail. I'll beat the hell out of you."
2012 Fiona Apple video addressing Perez Hilton:
"But Perez Hilton... to hire 'experts' to comment and say that I am sick is totally, totally irresponsible, and dangerous, and you should know better, and so should everybody who's talking about me like that. And I'm not on any drugs. I had some bourbon before I came out here. I've always been honest-- why would I be dishonest about anything? Perez Hilton, TMZ, whoever you represent: I'm not invulnerable to this stuff. I've been around for many years, but it hurts.
I didn't need to hear that I'm 90 years old just because I didn't have a facelift in the last seven years. I'm fucking losing weight because I'm having trouble digesting food because your guts are connected to your brain and I have a lot of stress in my brain. So lay off with that stuff because it hurts my feelings. If for no other reason, that should be a good enough reason. Stop hurting people's feelings, stop bullying people because you were bullied.
I know that that's not what you are. It can't be. Please stop hurting my feelings, because it really fucking bothers me. Seriously. Please stop. It doesn't matter what I look like!"
Later in the concert, according to Tampa Bay Online, she gave an addendum: "And another thing, everybody, Don't call me frail. I'll beat the hell out of you."
~ via Pitchfork, October 2012
After this callout, Perez did delete some (but not all) of his mean posts about Fiona.
I’m gonna give Zoloft a try I think. I didn’t know it was used for pmdd and ocd. What if this fixes me completely? What if all I needed all along was 50 mg of a different ssri? I will daydream about this until my appointment. And the doctor will be nice to me, and she will believe me when I tell her how I’m feeling, and she won’t tell me to try harder to be happy or to remove sources of stress from my life. This is a manifestation 🕯️
I have seen Zoloft give immediate relief for OCD.
“Pornography is to sex as McDonald’s is to food. Often in America, when you give a talk like this, they accuse you of being anti-sex. Have you heard that term? ‘If you’re against pornography, you’re against sex.’ So let me ask you a question: if I had come here today to talk about the fast food industry, to talk about how it causes obesity, how it destroys the environment, would anyone accuse me of being anti-eating? You would all understand that I was [against] the industry. So why, when I criticize pornography, do I suddenly become anti-sex, as if pornography is sex?”
— Gail Dines, How Porn Creates the John: Porn, Trafficking, and the Social Construction of Masculinity
By the way, the fact that so many men are unable to conceptualise sex without the brutalisation of women is the very reason why I don’t want to have sex with them.
reddit having a normal one about ummm. the uk banning an act that’s been observed to cause brain damage from being shown in porn
#''stay out of our bedrooms'' is so funny like what part of your bedroom is contained in porn studios
this is so true, they try to frame it as some violation of their private life, as if everyone is watching their own homemade sex tapes instead of watching videos commercially produced by companies with paid actors, cameramen, editors, advertisers, etc. if porn is so legitimate, they should have no problem with it being regulated like any other industry.

Men sexualize everything because they want to control everything. Men tie their sexuality to control and dominance.
just reblogging to add a link to where this graph is found

PS: in 2024, the average global temperature surpassed the critical warming limit of 1.5°C (2.7°F above previous averages) that nearly all countries sought to prevent with the 2015 Paris Agreement
that's worse than this infographic of UK warming shows
I saw a video today about why making an OnlyFans was a bad idea for women, and it had something insigtful in it I never actually thought about. It was re-told from someone's personal experience and it wasn't what I'd expect to happen.
The woman in the video explains that a lot of women's expectations was to only be doing it for a short while, until they get out of a bad situation, and then quit, being more financially stable and on their feet. She explains that even if you have only 12 subscribers, that is 12 m*n who are used to having continuous intimate access to you, and if you one day decide to stop, they are immediately going to get offended and upset. Because they've been paying for this, they'll feel entitled to keep having continuous access, and they'll find a way to make it happen.
She then goes on to say that if you want to make money at all, you'll have to show your face in the videos, and they'll be able to use AI tools to find your identity almost immediately. What happens next is they find your friends, family members, and your job site, and blackmail you; you either return to onlyfans, or they send the content to everyone you know. And if you say no, they will harass all your friends and family, and if you get any kind of job, this will get harassed too. Women then face the immense pressure of having not just themselves, but everyone in their life harassed to the point where they can't stand it anymore, and return to OnlyFans just to make it stop. They'll become isolated and have everyone in their life turned against them.
This effectively stops them for having any other kind of job or profession because it's impossible to stop the subscribers from finding out and sabotaging the entire thing. She explained a woman was put through this and forced to continue onlyfans, when she only had 12 subscribers. Two of them were blackmailing her. So thinking you can try it out and get out, you can't really, it's not just that the content might get out, but you're entire family and friend group and coworkers and job site might get involved.
The other meaningful fact she brings on is that you are unlikely to reach any success if you look like an adult women; it only works if you can pass as a child. I can't link the video because in the other half she berates women, and I don't want that content on my blog, but I found this story important, because it wouldn't cross my mind how big the danger is. I didn't know that if you get even one crazy subscriber, it's impossible to quit.
The other thing I saw women who previously had an OnlyFans account say, is how awful it was for their mental health, and the perception of their own bodies. They noted that even if it felt okay at the start, it keeps feeling worse and worse and they were deteriorating the entire time it was going on. It's impossible to not be affected. And the general, putting yourself in the harm's way, getting stalked, having to move often, having m*n break into your place, and delude themselves into thinking you want them and are specifically interested in them so any invasion in your life is welcome and warranted, is something women might not be aware they're exposing themselves to.
The woman in the video did note that most women don't even decide to do it themselves, but get groomed and pressured by promises of money and then someone else profits off of them. I think women should know exactly what it is and what is likely to happen to them, on top of the violation of intimacy they know they'll have to endure if they join.
We have this interesting situation where we basically no longer have privacy nor the expectation of privacy, but we also don't have community or meaningful connection with others, so we're all simultaneously both completely exposed and absolutely alone, and please understand that when I say this situation is "interesting", what I in fact mean is that it's "nightmarish and I wish I could wake up"
