Abraham Lincoln: Miss Todd, you are a woman of ravishing resourcefulness.
Mary Todd Lincoln: Mr. Lincoln, you have no idea.
Force of habit my ass, you just don’t trust me! [She rolls her eyes.] Me? [There’s a subtle change in the tone of her voice, the way she pulls away slightly.] Busy, I guess.
Seriously! [He starts to scoff, but pauses midway through as her tone changes, looking worried.] ...You know you can talk to me about anything.
starspangledarcher replied to your post: “starspangledarcher replied to your post: Abe. Hey Abe. Abeeeee. [She...”
[She smiles at him before running to and hugging him tightly, laughing.] Wow, you just automatically assume I did something wrong? Rude!
It's a force of habit, I swear. [He chuckles, hugging her back.] Where have you been recently? I've been back for a while already.
starspangledarcher replied to your post: Abe. Hey Abe. Abeeeee. [She throws a pebble at his window and manages to shatter it.] Shit.
Please, is this the worst I’ve done? [She grins.] Come down, please?
...Fair enough. Give me a minute? [He disappears into his apartment briefly, then returns with masking tape, sticking a rough "X" onto the broken window before pulling the curtains of the window closed, as if it would help it be less broken. A few minutes later, he's at the door to his apartment building.] Is something the matter?
Abe. Hey Abe. Abeeeee. [She throws a pebble at his window and manages to shatter it.] Shit.
[A few minutes of absolute silence pass before he sticks his head of the broken window, looking slightly miffed.]
I can’t believe you managed to break a third-story window with a pebble.
“Old fart you are,” she teased, smirking at him. Moira ran a hand through her hair at his explanation, nodding unhappily. It was terrifying to relive what had happened. “It- scares me. I swear I can still feel them ripping into me…” Unnoticed by her, one of her hands had moved, pressing against where the hellhounds had torn into her.
"Now you understand why you've never seen me sleep, right?" He gave a small smirk, but for a moment it faltered. "I try to stop mine from happening. Half of me wants to see what happens if I ever succeed. The other half is afraid of what would come after if I did."
“That would’ve been helpful, Abe.” She shot him a look of mock frustration before flopping back onto the couch. “Sit down, yeah?”
"Can't blame me for forgetting, I'm old!" He shot back sarcastically. He took a seat near the edge of the couch, leaning forward with his elbows on his knees. "Anyhow...those of us that were turned after we died, we...we dream about our deaths. You're aware of that. Those who were turned before death, like Henry, think sleep just feels like death. But we actually end up reenacting ours."
I was recently forced to part ways with a thieving prick of an associate.

The more they talked, the more she liked Abe he wasn’t what she expected at all, there was something decidedly modern about him and yet one could tell by looking at him that he was an old soul that he had seen things, been a part of things and they were things that haunted him to some degree. He had lived, he had loved he had lost and he had won, all of it had come with a price. She understood all of it; she had done the same and still was and would.
“They are.” She stated with a small smirk as the city of New York began to take shape before them and she began to slow them down, headed towards one building in particular that didn’t stand out nor did it exactly blend in either. The jet came to a stop right above the building and hovered briefly before she began to lower it down with ease until the wheels kissed the landing pad and with a few flicks of controls turned it off, “Here we are.” She glanced at him before undoing her seatbelts and getting out of the pilot’s seat moving to the back to exit.
People that knew him probably were put off a bit by exactly how savvy with the times he was. Part of him was amused, because picturing the 16th president on a laptop was so far from normal. The technology age had begun while he had still been weak to sunlight, so he had basically had nothing better to do at that point than attempting to figure out that century's new gadgets. Admittedly, he was much better than he had been before, and was decent for a man who had written and delivered letters for the entirety of his human life, rather than texting.
"Good, they should be fine with me, then." He leaned forward slightly to get a better view of the skyline. From the ground, he probably could've found SHIELD, but from the air - at least in his opinion - everything looked almost the same. Once landed, he unbuckled the seatbelts and stood, making sure to stoop to avoid hitting his head on the ceiling, as he so often did. He shielded his eyes from the sun as he stepped out of the aircraft, a feeling of instinctual irritation of the bright light popping up in the back of his mind. "Lead the way."
“Hey.” She snorted. “Bother me? You never bother me, idiot.” Moira gave him a quick hug. “Come in, yeah? Sit down.” She stretched, yawning. “Just a bad dream, that’s all.”
He smiled gently, stepping into Moira's apartment. He hadn't been back since the day he'd turned her - as far as he could tell, it was the same as it had been before the hellhound incident. "...Oh. Sorry, that was one thing Henry couldn't have told you about, I didn't realize until now. Anyone that was turned the way he was tends not to have those."
Good evening.
Ah … how … ?
To be completely honest...I'm really not sure. But I've seen another Henry already, so this can't be that much far off.
Mary Todd Lincoln: It's called a dance. If we were meant to sit down, they would've call it something else.
Abraham Lincoln: Yes, I suppose they would have.
