#friendly reminder that the entirety of hannibal season 2 takes place in just 12 weeks
There's something extremely comforting when it comes to characters like Will Graham and Meredith Grey. Their storyline is not about healing. Not about getting better. Not about finding happiness and never losing it again. Their stories are about being alive, being broken and owning it and trying to make the most of their reality. Both of them got a fucked up childhood that made them have a disorganized attachment style, emotional volatility, a fragmented sense of self, masochism and selflessness. And we don't really witness these aspects changing that much (they are adapted to some extent). Meredith never really gets over her savior complex and self-hatred and she never really makes peace with the way her mother loved her. She does become more resilient and confident. Same pattern with Will, he definitely becomes more resilient and self-confident and manipulative especially but the point of his story is not becoming a normal guy who finally lets go of his darkness and finds peace. And I think that this kind of characters are the closest to how real life actually is. You can still grow in spite of how fucked up your life has been and I think that is beautiful

"I asked chatgpt"
ok well I asked Will Graham, and he closed his eyes and twitched for a while talking to himself and then opened them and started hyperventilating and shaking.
#fun fact the same man was responsible for casting all of these people #Marc Hirschfeld king of casting murder husbands and wives with insane chemistry #where would we be without you (via @rythyme)
