Dipper’s thirst for knowledge has been the driving force of the entire show. He, like everyone else on the show, has noticed several odd things about Gravity Falls, however, unlike everyone else, he tends to try an look for the logical explanations for the strange things he sees. Once he finds the book in the woods, he consistently looks to it for explanations about the town. Because of his need to question everything, however, he feels isolated from everyone else, especially his family. However, his inferior Fe causes him to want to be closer to those around him, and it inflicts the want for his feelings to be taken seriously.

Auxiliary Ne (Extroverted Intuition) / Tertiary Si (Introverted Sensing)

Dipper has many ideas that seem obscure and strange to those around him, and causes him to feel even more isolated. He is able to see the strange aspects of Gravity Falls before finding the book, and when he does find the book, he is quicker to accept it as fact in comparison to everyone else in the town. He knows that the town is weird, and he is willing to think outside of the box to come up with explanations as to why it is so weird.
