L o v e: is a word that he knows, that he can match a definition to, but it’s nothing that he’s really familiar with. Comfortable with. He knows when to say it and why to say it if the opportunity arises, but it’s nothing that he finds… necessary. He could care less about it. He doesn’t need it in his life.
He doesn’t need it to live. It wouldn’t hinder how he does his job, how he wakes and rises each day. Because his life doesn’t revolve around it. In fact, he’d prefer it if the word and everything to do with it stayed as far away from him as possible.
Within his plans for his life, there’s no room for it. If it arises, then it does, and he’ll deal with it as such. If not, then his course of action does not change. It’s as simple as that.
Because he’s never been in love, or has ever felt close enough to anyone to deem it as that, so he wouldn’t know what to do with it.
[ But there’s someone that has changed that, and that’s a fact he’s slowly coming to terms with. He didn’t mean for it to happen… it just did. He doesn’t know when, or where that seemed to change, but he finds himself needing her presence in his life. He needs to be around her. Needs to see her. Needs to hear her talk… and he’d do anything to keep her safe. To keep her happy. He knows what it is, but that doesn’t mean he’s ready to say it out loud. ]
