Ok letās talk about Scott Hoying of Pentatonix for a sec.
Scott is an amazing vocalist who can basically sing anything. Broadway, pop, Beyonce lets be real here not a lot of people can pull off beyonce and slay AND beĀ acknowledged by the queen herself, you name it. But this cover with Rozzi Crane and Kevin is just absolutely amazing.Ā
Letās talk about the arrangement first. One, itās all cello and Kevin, so that by itself is amazing. Two, I have no idea how he does it, but somehow, Kevinās cello and beatboxing just fills the space so that the arrangement doesnāt feel empty or awkward or anything. The ENTIRE COVER ONLY USES ONE INSTRUMENT yet the cover doesnāt feel like it lacks anything.
Ok now letās move on to Rozzi and Scott. Their voices mesh SO WELL like Rozziās voice has this certain edge and power to it, and Scott has a smoother voice, but itās still just as powerful. These two sound amazing together with the harmonies and the runs and everything. I hope that just once, Rozzi and Pentatonix do a collaboration with each other because that would be beyond amazing.Ā
