I hate anthony fauci for lying about airborne spread (when we had ample evidence that it was not droplet-only months before they changed any guidelines, and they never adequately explained it even after they did so, so now people still think social distancing will adequately prevent infection), lying about how bad things still were because "we need to go back to work", declaring the pandemic over as people are still dying to this day, going back on his words about when we should let up on precautions (below 10K daily infections; we're still at roughly 200K infections per day as of July 27th and we're not even in a "wave" rn) because it was inconvenient to the back-to-work narrative, and misleading healthcare professionals about proper precautions in the name of shortages meanwhile I know people firsthand who had to fight with their employers to be allowed to use reusable respirator masks with filters that were abundantly available (unlike regular disposable N95s at the time) (see below cut)

like. they were making them reuse the regular disposable N95s (not what's pictured above), which are supposed to be single use only. because of shortages. but then there were a shit ton of these reusable ones (like pictured above) with lots and lots of filters available that were just as good, but they weren't letting healthcare staff use them. they threatened to fire everybody if they came in with one. even though they were arguably more effective with higher ratings than the disposable ones. and certainly more effective than a fucking surgical mask or a face shield. they didn't want to "scare the patients". as people were dying.

i feel like it's absolutely crucial in the social justice world to take "he a little confused but he got the spirit" and similar sentiments/situations as a Win. intent is so much more important than saying it right the first time! if someone is approaching with scuffed language and incorrect terms but they're visibly being as polite as they know how, that person is a friend and should be treated better than what their words might invite in someone else's mouth.

Coming back to this, I decided to browse tags, and, well...

Over 50% of trans men and nonbinary people assigned female have experienced sexual assault.

Trans people in the USA are about 3 times more likely than cis women to struggle accessing abortion related healthcare following abortion bans.

Trans and intersex people are at least twice as likely to attempt a self managed abortion than cis women.

And, I don't have a link at hand, but pregnancy has been used as a tool of forced detransition.

Y'all shut the fuck up.
