I love when I get permission to share great stuff like this. Beak health is something I talk about often and Norman is a perfect example of why I don't interfere with artificial trimming when the tortoise can still eat easily and simply needs to have adjustments made to their care for the best and healthiest results. Improper trimming can damage the brittle keratin of the beak and set the tortoise up for continued weaknesses and cracks. For this guy he was switched to whole leaf weeds and grasses rather than cut or otherwise messed with foods and simply fed on a rough stone surface like slate or concrete rather than the smooth plastic dish he had been being fed on. Be sure to swipe through and see the fantastic results.
