A smile curled on the edges of Louisâ lips at his sisterâs comment. Though he immediately forced it into a frown when she ruffled his hair. âVic.â He groaned, pulling away from her and running a hand through his hair to put it into a semi-decent state. âWhat would I be best at?â He asked, pondering the idea. His grades were pretty good in most classes â it was the common sense he had lacked. And there were a lot of classes heâd liked too, though perhaps that had more to do with the company than the subject. âHm.â Louis looked deep in thought before: âI donât think Iâve ever tried really writing.â Writing had been fine for class, boring but fine. Heâd never done it as a hobby. âBut it works for Dominique!âÂ
âWell, what if I was more careful?â Sure, he didnât know how careful Uncle Charlie was, but that was besides the point. âMa Mere wouldnât have to worry then.â He flashed a toothy smile at his oldest sister. âAnd they say scars are attractive.â He added with a laugh.
âOh Louis.â Victoire let out a fond sigh at her brother, her lips pulling up into a smile. âYou can do whatever you put your mind to but that is not the point. The point is that you should do something that you enjoy.â It hurt her that her brother felt like he had to look at what others were doing for him to have any idea of what he should do. âWhat is it you want to do, mon petite? Never mind everyone else, what is it that you enjoy? If it is dragonâs or writing, so be it, I will support you. I just donât want you to feel like it is something you should do because others are.â
