so basically.

the yashpari is based on the javanese, but there's no winter in Java, whereas in this fictional ikepri world their location definitely still experience winter (it's close enough to Rhodolite after all)

I think it's a fun worldbuilding challenge. What would the javanese wear if they have winter? (and honestly it'll also change how they eat, live, and every other aspect of their lives, but let's not indulge too much in this.)

So I borrowed the idea of the Scottish great kilt, which is basically a big piece of fabric that could be worn in various ways, secured with a belt and a brooch. A lot of Javanese pieces of clothing are also made up from unsewn fabrics just wrapped around you and secured with a belt or a pin. So I think it matches them. I just changed the motif of the fabric to not be tartan.

So anyway yeah that's a small bit of my train of thought. Maybe someone would be interested :}
