Riyalec Plays Not for Broadcast #1
Author’s Note: this is basically an excuse for me to gush about this game I love and spoilers for the game but this is mainly about the first work day in the game.
Riya and Alec are in their seats and Ally is seen waving in the background.
Alec: welcome viewers… Alec and Riya here and Ally here has convinced us to play this game… Not for Broadcast… insists it’s better than it sounds as we play as a live broadcast editor for some news show…
Ally: I’m gonna be here offering tips for the best outcome without spoiling things. I got them on the easiest settings and for those who knows what to come… be prepared!
Riya: can’t just let us decide for ourselves… let’s start…
Alec: New party in power Advance… could we expect some fascism coming…
Ally: can’t fully say but I would say they are better than the opposition in most ways but… spoilers… a far left government.
Riya: seriously? We are supposed to see that as a bad thing?
ally: I get concerns but they don’t really make the opposition any better…
Alec: Jeremy seems like a usual stressed newscaster.
Ally: again spoilers but he is kind of the hero in the game despite not being playable.
They do well with Alec using the controller but they come to the Bundercatch interview.
Ally: oh!! Keep it on the studio camera for as long as possible when the movie clip is ready to play!
Riya: this prima Donna actor who put don a front for the cameras will get his reputation destroyed; won’t he?
ally: you shouldn’t talk about that Riya.
Riya clearly takes it in stride and to the press conference.
Riya: I know I shouldn’t expect much from an independent video game studio with filming live action scenes but prime ministers making a press conference in what looks like trees?
ally; gets better and our new prime ministers, an alcoholic former tv star who speaks his mind and a lawyer.
Alec: oh boy… wonder who he’s based on…
ally: I get it but despite the inspiration, I would actually say he’s a decent well meaning guy at the very least.
Riya: definitely making you keep censoring his swearing though. Probably best for the country that Julia is here to keep Peter in check.
Alec: an act to tax the rich… I know this is a fictional government and Peter is certainly already different from his inspiration.
Riya: so far they don’t seem too bad.
ally: yeah but just you wait…
Riya: this has been quite fun. Be up to try more.
ally: just be ready for…. (Sigh) Geoff…
ally: spoilers but not only does he get worse but the time loop dlc reveals that how he won over his wife…
