lavender brown gets more hate for how she handles unrequited romantic feelings than snape does and that is incredibly disturbing

well she only did it to make out with him the whole time, and she didn’t really show that she likes ron. everyone in the fandom can agree that snape loved lily, and he never got over her. lavender was rude to hermione, and it wasn’t indirect like james did. she did it straight to hermione’s face, and left hermione by herself and with only harry. snape, meanwhile, was actually bullied by james and snape always warned lily because of how he saw james and how james treated others. lavender got lots of hate because she dealed with ron in ways that were honestly quite upsetting for the fans, romione shippers and other. snape, meanwhile, did everything he knew that pleased lily, and even stayed outside of the gryffindor common room just for lily, while lavender never did anything on that level.

With the Harry Potter series exposing the readers to a lot of touchy subjects, I am surprised and disappointed that it didnt touch on divorce, especially in the later books. It would have been really believable if a couple separated due to the stress.
