Wow! An animatronic that isn’t a Chuck E Cheese character! I thought Rolfe would be a good character from the RockaFire Explosion to start off with since he’s one of the fan favorites! The pages I used for information (besides from what I know) are https://cheeseepedia.org/wiki and https://www.showbizpizza.com! Keep in mind, that there is not much information about Rolfe and Earl I can find. Quiet on the set! Quiet on the set! Let’s get to it!
Rolfe De Wolfe and Earl Schmerle
Rolfe De Wolfe and his puppet Earl Schmerle, were supporting characters in the Showbiz franchise (having made his debut in Jacksonville, FL).
Rolfe was based off the announcer and the Wolfman from the Wolf Pack 5. (He was originally meant to be a rotating character, and not a permanent member of the cast.)
Rolfe originally had a show with his puppet (Earl) This would be called ‘The Rolfe and Earl Show’, which presented Rolfe as an egotistical Wolf with an angry puppet. But this was short lived in showtapes, as Rolfe would be replaced by Uncle Klunk in 1983. Uncle Klunk was a failed concept, which led to most stores reinstalling their Rolfe and Earl animatronic. Rolfe would only make brief appearances from then on, usually insulting or making fun of the other band members. He rarely sang, unlike Earl.
Retirement(?)
Rolfe would be retrofitted into the Statue of Liberty for the 1986 and 1987 liberty shows. As a test, Rolfe would also be retrofitted into Yogi Bear for the Yogi Bear Stage. During Concept Unification, several Rolfe animatronics would be retrofitted into Chuck E. Cheese. Earl was scrapped during this process.
After Concept Unification, Creative Engineering wanted to find a new way to bring the Rock-afire Explosion back into the public spotlight. They developed the New Rock-afire Explosion. Rolfe would be one of the only characters in the cast to not receive a new animatronic, instead appearing on screens.
(It should be noted, however, that during concept unification, Rolfe and Earl performed the final official Showbiz Pizza show. During the show, both characters were voiced by ShowBiz employees.)
the Prototype Concept Unification Stage, Rolfe's animatronic was removed completely, and Earl, however, this is unconfirmed, and he may have been retrofitted into the “traveling” Mr. munch.
Present day: Several showtapes would be produced over the years by Aaron Fechter, all of which show that Rolfe has not changed since the ShowBiz days. Original parts for Rolfe would start to be reproduced by Creative Engineering’s new employees in 2023.
“What is Concept Unification?”
To keep it short, Concept Unification was the process at ShowBiz Pizza Place where the Rock-afire Explosion stages were converted to a 3-Stage Munch's Make Believe Band format during the early 1990s. ShowBiz Pizza Place locations would be converted to Chuck E. Cheese's, while still retaining the "Where a Kid Can Be a Kid" jingle and slogan. (If you want, I can make a post talking about it! Madame Oink
Madame Oink, or “Maah-dahm Ohhnk” as she calls herself, was an animatronic pig and an early Guest Star at Pizza Time Theatre, and appeared in several showtapes. Madame Oink spoke in a heavy French accent and a sultry tone, she also occasionally sang traditional French songs.
the other characters, mainly Chuck E, made fun of her size, her accent, and constantly mispronounced her name (she would then correct their pronunciation.)
Being a pig, She would intermittently snort during her speaking and singing. Madame Oink would also flirt with the males in the audience, she also had a romantic relationship with Pasqually, but ultimately she true love the was spotlight.

Madame Oink was the second Pizza Time Theatre Guest Star, originally appearing in February of 1978. She was present at the original store on Winchester Blvd in San Jose, CA.
Her name was originally spelled “Madam Oink”, with the spelling changed to Madame Oink in 1979-1980. Madame Oink was based on the famous jazz singer Peggy Lee, and during her development phase she was always referred to as "Piggy Lee”.
(Small tidbit: Can you think of another French pig based off of Peggy Lee? That’s right! Miss Piggy from The Muppets! However, Madame Oink and Miss Piggy have nothing to do with eachother (as far as we know) the two characters just seem to have the same inspiration.)
When Madame Oink made her appearance at the second Pizza Time Theatre on Kooser Rd in San Jose, she was updated to the "ottoman" style Cyberamic for her second showtape titled "Around the World with Madam Oink". (Oink was redesigned by Pizza Time's wardrobe department shortly after and given a new look with her white hair pinned up - a look that became the standard and was used in artwork for merch and print materials.) Madame Oink was voiced by Paula Mulcahy, who performed at Pizza Time's second annual convention in October of 1982, where a special walkaround costume of Madame Oink was also in attendance.
In late 1982 Madame Oink appeared in a third showtape titled "Tunnel of Love", and in March of 1983 appeared in her fourth (and final showtape) titled "Madame Oink's World of Music (The Tune Machine)". Although her run ended after her fourth showtape, Madame Oink was one of the characters selected to become a full-bodied Cyberamic, a prototype concept that was never actually implemented.
Retirement
She was finally retired in 1983 to make way for Helen Henny, who would become a cast member permanently.
Obviously according to the title, you already know what this is about, I miss the animatronics. And I know for a fact we’re probably not gonna get them back. So I’m going to explain some things for some of you:
“Why do you miss the animatronics?”
I mostly miss the nostalgia they bring me, plus I love animatronics and how they work, so to hear that they were leaving and I myself couldn’t do anything about it was just sad. Even if I was scared of them when I was younger, they still had some sort of charm to them. Without animatronics, CEC isn’t CEC anymore. And don’t get me STARTED on Chuck’s Arcade, they destroy those taxidermy animatronics as well, animatronics are NOT supposed to be posed like that, meaning they destroyed the inner workings just to have them in cases forever stuck in the same position.
I can’t go anywhere else without a hefty price:
Even if I were to try to go to one of the legacy stores to see the animatronics, the few locations are very far from where I am, and Billy Bob’s Wonderland, a place with the original Showbiz Pizza animatronics, and the place I would love to go for my birthday, is too far away as well (the location being in West Virginia). So in summary, I’m stuck with locations with no life, no nostalgia, and no animatronics.
My current opinion on the CEC company:
As of now, I do not support the company in any way, for a list of reasons, but I will use two as examples for now.
1. Their disposal of the animatronics was HORRIBLE. Instead of keeping the animatronics, giving them to fans for money, etc. they scrapped and destroyed them. Without thinking about their fans. They could have made a lot of money just by selling the animatronics to people who adore them. In short, I’m not mad that they got rid of the animatronics, I’m mad about how they got rid of them.
2. Their use of generative AI. This is pretty self explanatory. But to keep it short, CEC using AI for ads and art is not okay. Generative AI is bad for the environment and everyone should know that, with how much pollution it causes and how much water it uses.
What I would dream to see:
If I had a dream for the future of the company, I would hope for them to stop using AI, and maybe bring back their beloved animatronics. Heck, they could even bring back Studio C and I would be happy. Of course, I know this will probably never happen, but it’s a dream that I don’t wanna crush.
And before anyone asks, I do not have interest in Disney or any other animatronics like that, I specifically like Showbiz and CEC animatronics.

The Warblettes
The Warblettes were three singing black crows slightly less know character(s) in the CEC franchise, generally sang as backup singers, but were also acknowledged regularly by Chuck.E sometimes.
The Warblettes did actually have names, being Daisy, Maisy, and Irmagard!
Being the only female characters at the time, the first show tapes were ones where they had the most exposure, having solo numbers, a few skits dedicated to them, and they could be heard tweeting in some of the songs that were played. (This would soon be replaced by guest stars)
The three didn’t have much in personality and their speaking roles were exclusive to the first two years. They were ultimately just set dressing to make the show sound good.
The animatronics themselves were simple and could only move their beaks, but during the portrait set up being changed to a traditional stage, the three go a whole new look. While the new look was still simple, they could now sway, but since their beaks all moved in unison, it limited talking roles to just ones where they all hav to speak together instead of individually
In 1978, they were replaced by the Mopsey Sisters for a year, before being changed back.
Retirement
When the House and House Facades were made, they were permanently replaced by the Singing Flowers.
The body lean programing would eventually be reused for The Wink, while the mouth movement continued to be programed until February 1992.

This location was turned into an antique store (Pantina Interiors) in later years, the Looney Bird sign still has the same shape it used to have and the front counter + the bathroom signs are still the same!

Animatronic: Harmony Howlette, 2 generation of Chuck E. Cheese Pizza Time Theater, 1981 - 1983.
Hello again! Welcome back to the animatronic of the day! Today’s animatronic is Harmony Howlette!! Requested by a lovely user named Fragglesesamemuppetz2! In this series, These posts are dedicated to older and newer animatronics, mainly from Showbiz Pizza and Chuck E. Cheese, but from other animatronic chains as well sometimes, (not including Disney animatronics).
If you don’t alrready know, today we will discuss everything Harmony Howlette! We’ll discuss her rise is 1981 and her early retirement in 1983, her voice actor, the animatronics Harmony was replaced with, and other information about her animatronic in general.

Harmony Howlette was a guest star featured in the Pizza Time Theatre era of Chuck E. Cheese. She was a coyote who sang country songs, and she was dubbed the "cowgirl who gathers more posse than Jesse James".

Harmony Howlette, a Half-Bodied Cyberamic Animatronic, was the main Cyberamic animatronic used in Chuck E. Cheese locations. This version of Harmony debuted along with Chuck E. Cheese, Mr. Munch, Jasper T. Jowls, Pasqually, The Clapper Board, and The Warblettes at Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza Time Theatre (CEC PTT). At least 50 of these Harmony bots were made.
Harmony was introduced in 1981 as the fifth and final guest star in PTT’s history. Harmony was confident and would often snap back at Chuck E.’s insults, which started feisty arguments between the two. She also had a trademarked howl whenever she was excited, and she flirted with all of men of the show (except Chuck). She especially flirted with Jasper, who had a crush on her.

Harmony had only two showtapes made specifically for her during her run, but she would soon be retired from PTT locations by 1983. Despite this, she had left a mark, as she appeared in much PTT merchandise.
Harmony made an appearance in "Remember That Time" in a vintage photo alongside a Balcony Stage.
Harmony also made a cameo in the 2017 version of "Every Boy, Every Girl".

Her voice actor was Nancy Lenehan, who also voiced Helen Henny (1977 - 1986), Foxy Coleen (1978 - 1980), and Harmony herself (1981 - 1982). Nancy is still alive today at the age of 72.
The last showtape she voiced Helen in was World of Kids, released in January 1986, being replaced by Connie Nelson with the release of History of Rock & Roll in April 1986.

Then, in 1983, Harmony was replaced by the Helen Henny Half-Bodied Cyberamic Animatronic, which was how Helen became a permanent character in CEC history.

Where is Harmony’s animatronic now?
While most of all 50 were destroyed, a few lucky CEC collectors were able to track down her animatronic and put them on display. One collector being a man named Mike who in Dallas TX, has both Harmony and Dolli’s animatronics in perfect working condition.

Hi! Welcome to the first post of Animatronics of the day! These posts are dedicated to older and newer animatronics, mainly from Showbiz Pizza and Chuck E. Cheese, but from other animatronic chains as well sometimes, (not including Disney animatronics).
Today’s animatronic is the one and only, Dolli Dimples!! Dolli is one of my favorite animatronics which is why I’m starting with her of course! We’ll discuss from her rise in 1978 and her retirement in 1982, her voice actors, the animatronics that Dolli was replaced by in later years, and her overall history in the Chuck E. Cheese franchise!

Dolli Dimples, full name being Dolli Demetra Dolores Daniela Dorine Dimples, was a Cabaret act from the Pizza Time Theatre era of Chuck E. Cheese. She was a piano-playing hippo who played jazz and blues music.
Dolli debuted in 1978 as the first-ever Cabaret act at the second PTT (Pizza Time Theater) location. Dolli was mainly designed exclusively for adults, as her performances had a sexy theme to them, plus her actual animatronic having unique breast movement to it. Her show tapes contained many sexual innuendos, talking about her Ex-husband’s as well as leaving many comments to the men in the crowd.
Some of Dolli’s Ex-husbands were actually based off of actual people, for example, her first husband Nolan, being based off of Nolan Bushnell, and her fifth being Gene, based off of Gene Landrum.
Her voice actor(s) were Donna Miller (1978) and Lady Bianca (1982).
Dolli would then switch out for other Cabaret acts as time went, but her animatronic was still used into the 80s.
She was featured in much merchandise, such as even having her own plushie, that is now rare and hard to find, and many more.
Dolli would soon then in 1982 have her second show tape voiced by Lady Bianca, although these tapes did still contain earlier themes of her Ex-husband’s, but the sexual innuendos were toned down.
Although sadly, around that time also came the end of Dolli Dimples, with her animatronic being replaced by Artie Antlers and B.B Bubbles later on.

Where is her animatronic now?
While most of her animatronics were scrapped and left to rot, a few collectors were able to track down her animatronic and keep them in working condition.
