Just saw the new movie Keeper. Spoilers below.

Just once I want the husband or the boyfriend in a horror movie to not be the bad guy. I get that it’s meta and social commentary and blah blah blah men are bad blah blah blah. But I want to see another type of evil. Show me a good man who doesn’t reveal himself to be the bad guy during the climax. Show me a character that fights with the others to destroy the evil or changed the direction of the movie. Show me a character who is a red herring and it not actually gonna be the bad one we have all been programmed to think he would be. Just once. Surprise me.
