topher didn’t go on snapchat much. he felt like he was too old for the app for the most part, but when a random number had added him and they had started chatting, he found that the app wasn’t too bad. or maybe it was the mystery guy on the other end. topher had to admit that he was curious about his identity, but he also was enjoying their messages back and forth, especially the pictures that came along with it. and maybe topher was taking a risk by not cropping his face out of the last photo he sent, waiting a bit anxiously for a response. inspecting the picture he gets back, topher studies it for a moment, only slightly disappointed that it’s cropped. which is fine, he gets it. maybe sending a face pic had been the wrong move after all. i’ll take it ;p the brunette messages back after a minute or two, running a hand through his hair slowly. maybe he really was too old for this, for the pictures and mind games, but now he was hooked.
thinking back on their few months (had it really been months?) talking, kai tries to figure out if he’s revealed anything personal about himself. maybe he’d worn a school shirt or two, but he can’t remember - it’s not like his wardrobe is exactly refined, and he’s got plenty of shirts with the school’s logo or mascot on them to wear to the gym. pinching the bridge of his nose, he leans against the wall behind his bed, trying to get his head on straight. when his phone buzzes with a new response, he finds himself getting irrationally angry about the emoticon that his professor used - uses those cute emoticons when we’re talking but when we’re in class, it’s just pay attention, you’re doing c- work at best. running his tongue over his teeth, kai tries to figure out how to respond - he’s going to see this man in person tomorrow - is he going to be able to control himself? because he really does look better without his clothes on, and seeing him dressed and giving him that awful look is going to ruin the conversation a lot more. maybe i’ll just skip until the semester’s over. fuck, he still has to reply. you should. you look good. that’s enough, right? enough to mill his professor over while he thinks about what the fuck to do about this situation? he can only hope so.

in both this life and a past one, a life that seems truly like a lifetime ago, jokes were necessary. the goal, of course, was to get people to like you. back then, the goal was hero worship, or something akin to that. now, he’s happy to get a bonus tip or two at the end of the night that he can distribute amongst his employees. taking the card, he swipes it after punching in the order to the register, handing it back after he’s made sure to leave the tab open. then, he turns to make the drink, looking over his shoulder at them. “well, considering that i make the rules, nothing’s technically against them, but i usually don’t drink with people in the middle of my shift.” that’s not entirely true - he’s shared a beer or two with regulars before, no matter how early or late into his shift he was - but this person is a stranger to him, and drinking a whiskey drink is entirely different than having a beer.

dov likes it when gabriel calls him sir, a slow smirk moving over his face at the other man’s words. “i think we’ll be able to manage.” he murmurs, pressing himself forward slightly into gabriel’s hand. dov’s intrigued by these other ideas, letting out a quiet groan of approval at the thought, though it’s hard to think straight while gabriel has his hands around his cock. “i can try…enlighten me on these ideas, yeah?”

they had been doing this for a while - sending pictures back and forth, never showing their faces. it was kind of exciting, to be honest. topher enjoyed it, and over time their innocent conversation had taken a turn, some not so safe for work photos getting mixed in. still, he couldn’t help but wonder who was on the other side, debating off and on for a while before he sends an uncropped photo with the attached message: surprise. hope you don’t hate the rest of me 😜
yeah, it was fun - snapchatting random strangers was a good way to get kai’s mind off of the fact that he was nearly failing every class that he was taking this semester. it was his last semester before graduation, and he really only took classes that he thought would be easy to pass. the issue was that he’d been slacking off. nevertheless, this was a good distraction. there was one guy that had become more regular than the rest, one guy with a good sense of humor and a great body. so when he finds himself with a new message and some downtime that afternoon (downtime in which he should definitely be working on an essay for his ridiculous greek mythology course in which the professor seemed to carry an extra grudge for him, but downtime nonetheless), he lays down on his bed and opens the message. he’s incredibly surprised to see the face of that same greek mythology professor staring back at him. “holy fuck...” he mutters out loud, sitting up just a little bit. how the fuck does one even respond to their incredibly attractive, albeit incredibly obnoxious, professor after finding out that they’d been sending nudes back and forth for months? he could stop it here, end it now, but there’s no fun in that, no distraction... so, after another moments’ consideration, he takes another cropped picture and sends it back to the man with the message eh, you’re not so bad ;) attached.

going out unnoticed was not something jay did often, at least not anymore. those days were far behind them, something that he was slowly starting to accept. hoping to maybe blend into the crowd, jay finds himself at a fairly crowded bar that evening, leaning up against the counter in hopes of getting a drink. when the bartender finally turns towards them, jay flashes him a grin, leaning in a bit closer. “hey, handsome. what’s someone gotta do to get a drink around here, hm?”
the bar was doing well tonight - justin was proud of the way things were working out. the chef was busy in the back, the rest of the bartenders were busy filling orders, the service staff seemed to be getting tipped well. he’d been doing his best to help fill orders to take some of the stress off of his staff’s shoulders, so when he turns around to face someone, he’s taken aback by the immediate flirting. then again, this isn’t the first time someone’s flirted with him at the bar. “well,” he replies, tilting his head to the side slightly. “somebody typically orders, then either opens a tab or pays for their drink after i give it to them. so, step one is ordering.”

dov didn’t really care about his so called ruined shirts. like gabriel said, he could easily get them fixed. he isn’t really focused on that though, humming quietly as he trails his fingers long the other man’s chest. “i have a feeling you have an idea or two.” he says, leaning forward to catch gabriel’s lips with his while the other man works at unbuttoning his pants, shifting his hips forward slightly to give him better access. “mhmm…that’s my boy.” dov murmurs encouragingly against gabriel’s lips, hands moving to grab his ass as he does.

“you can afford to get those fixed,” he replies, his tone equally teasing. gabriel knows that dov doesn’t underestimate him - anyone with eyes who had ever seen even a set of hotels together would know who dov was. therefore, he knows that dov could fix a few popped buttons that were a result of gabriel’s impatience. he happily lets dov pull him down onto his lap, his hands going back to curl up in dov’s hair. “mmm... and how would i prove that...?’ he asks, closing his eyes for just a moment. despite the question, though, his hands move down dov’s chest to try to tug open his pants, knowing that dov would stop him if this wasn’t what he wanted.

she knew that she was lucky to get this position in the first place; painting a portrait of the royal family was a daunting task to begin with, and jules truly only got it because of the fact that her father had retired from painting after last year’s portrait. he had told her to take it seriously, to ensure that she got the job done and done well. but she hadn’t expected to be so awestruck by the princess. they were about the same age and about the same height, so whenever jules looked up from her palette or the easel, eye contact was made almost immediately. she wasn’t sure if she was imagining the tension on her own or if it was something they’d both agree on, but she decided it was best not to ask. that night, instead of lingering in the quarters she’d been assigned to, she found herself taking a walk outside, trying to clear her head. color her surprised, then, when she happened to run into the aforementioned princess, who seemed desperate to get her inside for whatever reason. “is this not private...?” she questioned, glancing around them. “besides - i... i’m not sure that’s wise, your highness.”

“i don’t think that pulling it off would ruin it, per se...” gabriel replies, a playful little grin on his face. he knows that he could be a brat, but he also knows that dov hasn’t stopped him this far. at being told that’s better, some of the brattiness that he carries with him melts away, trying to bite back a larger smile than he wants to give in that moment. the feeling of dov’s eyes on his skin makes him shiver and he wants to speed up the process of getting undressed, but he forces himself to keep his slow pace, to tease dov as much as he’s teasing himself. “do i look shy...?” he asks, finishing with the buttons on the shirt and slowly pushing it off of his shoulders, tossing it behind him and taking another step closer to dov. “i don’t think i’m being shy...”

“i am very pretty,” he confirmed with a little smile, looking at himself in the mirror. yes, he was a little self-centered, but so what? if you were gabriel, you’d think that you were pretty, too. or that’s how he saw things, at least. he turns his eyes back to dov’s in the mirror, a grin rising back to his face. dov is equally pretty, after all. he runs a finger down dov’s jaw, pulling back at the instructions to take the shirt off slowly. “what if i didn’t?” he asks in a teasing manner, reaching for the hem of the shirt, playing as if he’s going to tug it off quickly. shaking his head after a moment’s pause, gabriel grins again, slowly starting to unbutton the top, trying to put on a show for dov. his eyes never break eye contact, teeth worrying at his lip slightly. “you mean this show...?”

gabriel understood his duties; he understood why it was important to study calligraphy, and math, and economics - understood that it would be important for both his future and the future wellbeing of the kingdom. quite frankly, though, it was boring. it felt as if he’d been at this tutoring session for hours, and at this point, he’d rather discuss anything else than the cost of a yard of red silk. he just got lucky when his tutor said that it was time to take a break, that they had something to retrieve before they’d begin again. watching them go, he was glad to finally have a moment to himself, a moment away from boring economics. pushing back from the table, he stood up, crossing the room to pour himself a glass of wine. ignoring the sound of the door opening, gabriel figured that his attention would be called if it were needed - besides, he’s not even sure it’s his tutor returning. “isn’t there something better to discuss than all of this drivel?” he muttered, more to himself than to whoever had just entered the room, taking a sip of his wine. “there has to be something.”
