hi, i'm new here. sorry for asking but, what is headache acting??

hey and welcome! headache acting is something that’s mostly done in the restaged tour (for phantom at least) where the actors are directed to put their hands on their head and look like they’re constipated (for lack of better description) or having a headache, hence the term. i think @glassprism came up with the name for it?

As a result of listening to Katie Hall’s Tears of Hate from the UK Tour again recently, I’ve decided to compile three different versions of her singing TOH, or the lines “The tears I might have shed for your dark fate/Grow cold and turn to tears of hate”. Each version is from each of Katie’s different runs as Christine: understudy in 2008, alternate in 2011-2012, and then principal on the UK Restaged Tour 2012-2013. It’s really interesting to see how her TOH evolves!

First version: Understudy, 2008

Second version: Alternate, 2011-2012 (the recording’s from 2011)
