hi hi!! i am bee (she/her + he/him, 25, est) and i am very excited to bring my very normal boy skyler park (more importantly known as wonder’s leader, lead vocalist, and lead dancer) to you all!! below i have some short bits about his backstory, as well as some plotting ideas i’d love to do!! so if you would like to plot with him, please leave a like and i will run to your dms! :D

skyler park is a guy who had no ambition for a majority of his life. nothing aside from doing well in school and (hopefully) getting into a good university!

until one day he had to go to an origin concert with his eldest sister, causing him to realize… wait a second, i could do this??? i could become an idol and this could be my goal in life??? he had a whole epiphany.

so he began to train as best as he could; he knows he couldn’t become the best dancer immediately after fifteen years of not doing that, but he could at least try to become a moderate singer. his voice was not terrible already, and he used what allowance he did have towards singing lessons and classes after school.

he actually managed to get accepted as a trainee to kh entertainment, but realized he was… very much outclassed by a lot of the other guys there! people who had been training for this for years, if not most of their lives really, and he felt he didn’t compare.

regardless, he didn’t let this stop him because he got all this way and he was leaving here with something (an idol contract.) he focused even further on trying to gain better skills in other areas, in particular songwriting, and letting his personality speak for him where he did fall short, by way of helping others trainees and becoming closer to them to raise not only his own morale, but theirs too.

ultimately he did get a spot in kh’s next boy group, but also ended up as the leader! something that shocked him a lot, but now years later, he feels like he’s grown into the role a lot more.

now he’s very much focused on keeping his found idol family together for as long as he can (for emotional attachment reasons and also because he doesn’t have… very many prospects if the group were to go under somehow…)

if it means he has to push himself past further limits to keep the other boys as happy as possible, he will! this definitely won’t backfire on him.

considering kismet and wonder are sibling groups, kismet muses i would love to plot with you! skyler wants as many friends as possible inside the industry, and i know he would have took to being good friends with the female trainees as well.

origin muses… skyler’s older sister is a huge fan and i know he absolutely would’ve been forced to ask for autographs and such by her. this embarrasses him very much because he doesn’t want to come off as a leech to his seniors, even after all these years of asking for autographs on their newest albums…

he was basically a saint for doing this... and by "this," he meant rescuing his dongsaeng from spending a long, sleepless night in the studio.

jordan knows skye well enough now to know that he could spend practically all night fine-tuning lyrics if someone didn't literally drag him out... and that's where he came in. as a senior in the industry— someone that truly knew how it felt to run yourself to the ground— jordan felt that it was his sacred duty to teach kh's younger idols a little bit about having a work-life balance. that's the narrative that he'd always maintained, at least, though others might've viewed it as a thinly-veiled excuse to pester his peers... whatever it was, skye was the (victim) chosen one tonight.

there was a mischievous glint in his eye as he came to a halt in front of the door. was it really a night out if there were no harmless pranks involved? he's sure skye was laser-focused on whatever he was doing; jordan just had to make a grand entrance.

thumb comes to rest on the fingerprint scanner, and the door unlocks with a soft click. he takes a firm hold of the door handle before shoving it open with such force that it swings and slams into the wall, banging against it so hard that one of the soundproofing panels falls to the floor with a thud.

he had meant to shout alongside the bursting-open of the door, but he's distracted by what's in his hand: the outside handle, ripped right off it's bearings. jordan looks at the handle, then at skye, then back to the handle before he's letting out a loud laugh of disbelief. there's no way, dude.

jordan quickly moves to shove the handle into skye's hands, lightly kicking the door out of the way and folding his hands behind his back like nothing ever happened, even though the handle is actively in skye's hands and the soundproofing panel is laying at their feet.

"... bro, why did you do that?!"

yet another verse scratched out, and skyler was this close to scratching his own eyes out.

he's not sure how or why, but he's pretty sure he's suffer from severe writer's block right now. it only happens to him very rarely—but not often enough that he can tell the signs of it happening at all. it's just that as soon as he tries to put ipad pencil to screen, he found himself constantly hitting the undo button to erase whatever crap he had written down. or well, maybe not crap, but it's not exactly good enough to be on an album.

snuggled up in his favorite cozy gray hoodie as he despairs over constantly hitting the erase button on his notes app, it was meant to bring him peace and good luck in writing, but was giving him absolutely nothing of the sort instead. he pushes himself away from the table and spins around in his rolling chair, hoping for inspiration to suddenly slam into the back of his head. instead he finds… a completely empty mind, shocker.

until there's a loud slam happening right behind him, his eyes meeting the true perpetrator—none other than jordan seung—as the door nearly breaks the soundproofing panel closest to it. not only that, but said door was suddenly missing its' handle, which was now in his hands.

"me?! dude, you're the one who did that!" he scoffs, not quite in the mood for these games, but at the same time he did need something to pull him out of the creativity-related agony he was in. it may as well be this. he points to the camera outside the hallway, installed right by the studio's door. "who do you think they'll believe, you or a literal camera?"

he shakes his head with a quiet laugh, his shaggy brown tresses looking even more obviously messy—no thanks to him constantly running his hands through it due to previously losing his mind minutes earlier over his inability to write. "ignoring that for now, did you need something? i'm kind of…" he gestures over to where his ipad and matching pencil were strewn about on the table, nothing written on the digital paper but a giant frowny face. "… busy, or… something, yeah."

the door to the studio swung open, and youngjae stepped in, immediately aware of the red blinking lights of the cameras already trained on him. he adjusted his jacket with practiced ease, though his thumb still absently swiped through his phone out of habit. his manager’s voice was a distant murmur as youngjae scanned the set—the board games, the chairs, and then—there was skyler. he paused for just a second, his expression carefully neutral. wonder’s leader. he’d been following their work, their stages, their growth. this wasn’t who he expected, but honestly? it was a relief.

skyler’s reaction was priceless—youngjae couldn’t help the small smirk tugging at his lips. “guess we’re both in for a surprise,” he said, his voice steady but laced with that dry humor of his. he knew the feeling; skyler wasn’t the only one caught off guard. but thirteen years in the industry had taught him how to adapt, even when he was just as thrown as the person in front of him.

he cleared his throat, shifting his weight. “you look like you’ve seen a ghost,” he said, though there was a softness there, beneath the observation. truth was, he’d been keeping an eye on wonder. their music, their energy—it was refreshing. and skyler? he’d seen enough to know the guy had talent. “but since we’re here,” he said, gesturing to the chairs, “might as well make the most of it.”

youngjae pulled out a chair, the picture of professionalism despite the unexpected twist. “so,” he said, glancing at the stack of flashcards and board games, “where do you want to start? we can keep it light, or if you’re feeling bold, we can dive right in.” there was a hint of his usual confidence in his tone, but it was tempered—more suggestion than demand. after all, he was just as curious as skyler was.

the tips of his ears and the center of his cheeks start to burn crimson once the initial shock wears off, seeing that smirk on youngjae's face only makes the veil of embarrassment cascading over him slowly feel even more prominent. it takes everything in him to not look over at the direction of any of the cameras or the staff behind them, knowing they were likely chuckling at his reaction as well and, of course (because why would they not be), the cameras were still rolling.

"… it's really nice to get to work with you, sunbaenim." he takes a few steps closer before giving the other man a small bow this time, one hand pressed against his heart once he rises back up to full height—calm down, damn. a few weak laughs come from him now, as he already knows this is going to highlighted for the convention's experience event. "p-please take care of me today as well."

he lifts his free hand to brush a few strands of his hair behind his ear, glancing away to not make eye contact with him just yet again. there's a shy smile on his face as he started to become more comfortable with the situation, "not a ghost, just definitely not someone i was expecting to be paired up with… but i'm excited to work with you today, though."

but skyler nods, moving to sit down in the chair across from youngjae, one leg crossed over the other in an attempt to make it harder for any jitters that would have him bouncing his leg. "hmm, let's see…" his gaze bounces between the flashcards and the board games, then back again. "i think… i'm most curious about what's written on these cards. they wouldn't even let me peek at them, y'know, while i was waiting on you to arrive." he glances up at him with a cheeky grin written on his lips, a small tease now that he had mostly settled back down.

"you've  all  been  working  so  hard,  it's  the  least  i  can  do,"  she  says,  genuine,  and  the  corners  of  her  eyes  crinkle  ever  so  slightly  when  he  mentions  he'll  foot  the  bill  for  their  dinner  tonight.  yeona  lets  out  the  softest  giggle  and  shakes  her  head,  hands  lifting  from  underneath  the  table  to  cross  in  an  x-formation.  "that's  really  sweet  of  you,  skyler-ssi,"  she  continues,  heart  warming  at  his  offer.  "but  don't  worry  about  it.  it's  on  me,"  her  smile  stretches  the  tiniest  bit,  immediately  wanting  to  ease  the  bashfulness  he  must  be  feeling.  "we'll  call  it  even  so  long  as  you  enjoy  the  food,"  a  pause,  tone  a  little  more  playful,  an  attempt  at  smoothing  over  things,  "and  share  dessert  with  me,  since  i  don't  think  i'll  be  able  to  eat  it  all."

with a glance outside as he spoke and seeing all the snow lining every inch of surface alike, skyler let out a soft sigh. he much preferred the warm embrace of the restaurant than to being out there. though, as much as he wasn't a fan of the cold himself, it did make the moments when he was able to escape it and join a nice, cozy atmosphere even better.

nevermind how much he was fighting himself from complaining the entire time he and the older woman made any trek in the cold—a short walk to and from his car be damned, he still hated experiencing the all-constant chill surrounding him and making him shiver and shover his hands in his coat jacket they had to endure it.

that all said, he was still more than glad to be here, sharing a meal with someone who has shown nothing but kindness to him since they debuted. he just wishes she wasn't so frustratingly nice about treating them, at least.

there's a soft pout that forming on his lips when yeona denies letting him pay—he feels like it's only right. what kind of a person did he look like if he was letting his kind senior foot the bill every single time? not only that, but he needs to be polite to an older woman, right? that's all the more reason he should be the one giving the hostess a card once they've finished eating. "no, i can definitely get it this time. think of it as a gift from me to you, sunbaenim."

he quiets down for a moment once she mentions dessert, a sharp canine poking out to gnaw on his bottom lip as he thinks the proposal over. "… that does sound nice…" his eyes light up almost immediately as the phrase leaves him, an easy grin replacing the previous pout. "okay, wait! how about i pay for our dessert then? that way we're completely even for today!"

skyler glances down at the menu in his hands after a short pause from his last excited statement, "actually… we should probably figure out what we want to eat before we get too excited about dessert though, huh?" despite what he says, he immediately turns the laminated form over to view that very section. "it looks like they have honey butter toast here, don't you like that?"

i think… i would describe myself as dependable, strong-willed, determined.

what do you think is your greatest strength, and what is one flaw you’re working on?

i think my greatest strength is… probably being able to keep up with everyone else in wonder, or at least attempting to! i want to be able to stay with everyone forever, so i need to continue to work just as hard as them to achieve that.

for flaws… to keep things light-hearted, i think i could stand to be better about working out! sometimes i feel a little lazy and i don't want to go…

what does your ideal day off look like?

an ideal day would be getting to rest up in the dorms and play some of the video games that are in my backlog… but i usually end up getting bored on a day off, and usually end up finding something else to do, like drafting new songs or practicing choreography.

when you’re feeling stressed or tired, how do you usually recharge?

if i start feeling like this, i'll usually reach out to my family? i'll facetime them and we'll talk for a few hours, which is always fun if they're already at home, because then they'll put our dog on the camera so i can see her too.

it gets a little lonely sometimes, being so far away from home, but we still make things work.

are you more of an early bird or a night owl?

… can i say yes? i'm kind of a mix of both, to be honest! i'll go to sleep around … some undescribed range of time, and wake up around 6 AM most days.

do you prefer planning ahead or going with the flow?

i prefer to plan ahead—people have said it's not as fun, and that they'd rather figure out what to do as they get into something, but i just feel a lot more comfortable when i'm going into something—an event, a vacation, whatever—with an outline of what to do and when to do it. even if it looks a little lame!

when meeting someone new, are you more likely to start the conversation or wait for them?

i try to start conversations most of the time! it doesn't come super easily to me, but i think i've been getting better at it.

what is one item you cannot live without, and why is it important to you?

i would say… and this is probably a little silly, but i have a handkerchief

if you weren’t an idol, what career do you think you’d have?

i think i would be a doctor—or at least attempt to be. i like getting to reach people as an idol, so i think working in a field that could help others still would be really nice. if i had gone to uni after high school, i would've studied medicine.

if you could instantly master one skill, what would it be?

probably mastering how to not feel super tired in the mornings, and be able to get out of bed immediately. i think that counts for something!

what quality do you value most in a friendship?

loyalty and wanting the same ideals, probably? the idea of being able to reach a collective goal or want with someone else seems really nice.

do you enjoy trying new concepts, or do you prefer to stick with concepts you’ve done before?

honestly, this might be controversial, but i kind of like doing similar concepts! as long as it's not a complete repeat, i don't think there's anything wrong with it. you can be able to look back at when you did it once before, and compare your growth this time around.

what moment made you think “this is why i became an idol”?

when we had our second fanmeeting and were able to see how many more younites came together to support us. we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for them, and i smile everytime we get to interact with younites.

what role do you naturally take within your group?

would it be too obvious to say the leader…? truthfully, at least on a more free/chill day, i think i take a more laidback role in comparison to the other boys—i'm pretty happy to do whatever they want to with little guidance and just chime in when super necessary.

of course, when it's time for us to get to work though, i try to put my foot down a bit more and continue to be 'the leader'. it's all about a balance, i think!

which is more difficult for you: asking for help or accepting help?

… definitely asking for help. i'd rather do something all on my own if i'm capable.

when something doesn’t go as planned on stage, how do you usually respond?

depending on what it was, try to figure out a way to play it off. if i trip during a performance somehow, i need to laugh it off and get right back up. the biggest thing is to not let it phase you seriously.

when making a decision, do you tend to follow your heart or your head?

i would say… probably my heart? it's definitely not easy though when the two have separate feelings, but i think it's better to follow your heart than to feel guilty over making a choice that didn't feel right to you.

do you get more satisfaction from working towards a goal or reaching the end result more? why?

definitely the end goal—that way, you can look behind you and realize just how much work you've put in to be able to get there, and even celebrate the fact that you managed to get near that goal at all.

what kind of legacy do you hope you leave behind?

i'm not really sure, honestly! i think i'd rather live in the moment than to think about the future—how people will remember me, and what i'll be doing then.

but… i think i want to leave behind a legacy that someone can look back on and smile about? to be able to see everything i did, and realize they could do it too, if they wanted.

when skyler had received the timeslot for the filming of his 'mix and match' video for the lynk con experience, he felt a weird mix of jitters running through his body and also the need to go hide in a dark closet for a few minutes. he had no clue who he'd be randomly matched with, all he knew was that it would be someone from a different company—so the concept of a relaxed talk with any of his kh entertainment seniors (or juniors, including kismet), was completely out of the question.

now he finds himself here, standing awkwardly as the filming crew prepared to get to work, surrounded by the small set made up of comfortable chairs, a table sat between them, and a few board game boxes stacked neatly on top of one another. he had noticed there were a stack of cards faced down right next to the boxes, what game they could be related to, he wasn't sure yet.

a director calls out something, and when he turns around, he finds the red blink of a few cameras staring right back at him; wonder's manager had mentioned that they would be filming his reaction to his partner… but he'd be lying if he said he didn't briefly forget about that fact. it takes skyler a second, but with his shoulders relaxing and that look in his eyes becoming even warmer, it takes him no time to become skye—wonder's ever kindhearted, supportive leader.

he gives a quick introduction to the future audience as he waves to the main camera with both hands, "hello, i am skye, the leader of wonder. please take good care of me today, too." the cameraman spoke up soon after, asking if he had any idea who he'd be working with today (which saved him the embarrassment of trying to make conversation without much guidance.)

"ah, i'm honestly not sure really! it's a complete surprise to me, but i'm excited regardless." skyler smiles brightly as he speaks, but it's at that moment he hears more footsteps begin to make their way to the studio they're in. that has to be them.

he knows he can't turn around until he hears the last of the steps come towards him, but he's feeling those jitters again and it's getting harder to not look early on and ruin the idea. he's patient though—so he waits a second or two before finally getting to see exactly who this other idol is.

then suddenly he's taking a step back and covering his mouth. one of the side cameras watch him as he runs a few steps away from joo youngjae, and lets out a laugh of disbelief. "oh my god, you're joking!" his collected demeanor from a few seconds ago melts away easily when he realizes he's been matched with not just another group's leader, but the leader of axis specifically.

there was something extremely nervewracking when you're working alongside someone who's extremely decorated in the same field as you, skyler realizes. and now he's even more embarrassed at this being his first ever interaction with him.

it was times like this that made skyler wish his sister had the dreams to become an idol instead of him, but no. despite how much jenna collected the photocards and the albums over the years, she decided she wanted to go to dental school while he was the one who moved all the way to korea in hopes of making it big.

he stares down at the album in his hands knowing he doesn't really mean those thoughts, but at least if she was here in his place that meant he wouldn't have to go bother his seniors and ask them to sign albums for her. but this is the price of being a younger brother who cares about his family, he guesses.

he had purchased the go back to the future album as a gift to her regardless, as he had done with many of origin's other albums in the past; not that his sister expected him to, he genuinely wanted to gift them to her. though he still had to pull the phone away from himself mid-call and groan once she'd ask him if he could get the album signed for her by one of the members (or all of them, but skyler promptly said absolutely not to that idea.) even then, he still felt like it was worth it to see that excited look on her face whenever she got them in the mail while facetiming him.

that doesn't mean he enjoys the process of going through getting those signatures.

the origin members were nice enough, of course! he had nothing but good things to say about them for the most part. he just felt like it was a bit embarrassing—coming up to the members as if he was a fan and not their peer, and asking if they could sign something for him. it was even worse to think about whether or not they had come to expect this from him after the past four years.

he managed to muster up enough strength to be able to ask the first origin member he'd seen throughout the halls of kh, waiting for whenever he came across one of them in a moment they didn't look particularly too busy. this time's unlucky choice was one lim iseul.

"oh— iseul-sunbae!" he raises his hand in greeting, an easy smile on his face as he takes a few steps to catch up with the other man. "sorry to bother you, but could you…"

he glances down at the album he was holding again, his lips pursing together as he tries to figure out how to go about asking for yet another autograph. he just sighs at the situation of it all, before looking back up at iseul meekly, unspoken apologies written clearly in the way his eyebrows drew closer together and his teeth tugging anxiously at his bottom lip.

"… um, it's for my sister. again…"

for as long as skyler had lived in seoul by now, he had feels like he had grown much more accustomed to the customs—at least, more than the awkward kid he was some years ago, attempting to get used to referring to people by the correct specific honorifics. he remembers the mild embarrassment he had as a trainee whenever he heard trainers saying he came off as 'rude' or 'too blunt', due to speaking to them too casually by accident.

that said, he still was trying to figure out how to handle the likes that came along with being a kpop idol; the constant filming, trying to make a good impression on those who were already fans and those who were curious enough to look into wonder, as well as trying to be there for the rest of the group. not to mention, making sure to be kind and respectful to the other idols who came before him.

this is how he ends up opening every door for the older woman accompanying him, pulling out her chair for her once they reached their table, as well as handing her a menu first before even taking a glance at his own.

… maybe he was overdoing it, but he couldn't help but worry about coming off rudely. yeona was kind enough to treat him and the other wonder boys to meals as congratulations whenever their promotions did well, so he believes that he should do his best to show how much he appreciated her care. the absolute last thing he wanted was to seem ungrateful.

"thank you again for inviting me out to eat, yeona—" skyler hesitates for a second, nearly bites the pink of his own tongue debating on what to say. noona feels too informal, would -ssi or -nim be right though…? he knows some seniors are fine with being spoken to in a relaxed way, while others aren't. even now, he was still trying to navigate those honorifics.

it's better to just play it safe, he decides. "… sunbae!" he finally speaks up with a sheepish smile on his lips, hoping she didn't notice him so obviously trying to find the right words.

"but, um," he brushes back a few strands of loose hair from his forehead, glancing off into the space nearby. he honestly can't believe how shy he is to say this. "you don't have to pay for me this time, if that's alright? you always pay for all of us, so i would like to be able to do the same for you this time around."
