Lina | Touken Ranbu | Biased towards Gou | Oshis are Hanjin and Murakumo Gou | A space to share whatever thoughts or maybe fictions I have about Touken Danshi from Touken Ranbu | Asks: OPEN Requests: CLOSED
Folks, fellow saniwas!! Apologies for the late notice of the latest monthly schedule, but here it is! No, it's not that I don't find it worthy enough to be put in a post- IT'S THE OTHER WAY AROUND! Too much overload for my otaku brain to assess everything and I kinda forgot to write here.
Let's rewind back to the currently running event- Kabocha Event 🎃 ! Featuring Unji, Unshou, Jikkyuu Mitsutada and Nikko Ichimonji as the rare Touken Danshi, don't forget to fight (play) for them as rewards until the 4th of November!
Then you have the MAX Lv. 199 which has already been implemented, thus you can keep leveling up your favourite Touken Danshi who probably already reached Kiwame Lv. 99!
The planned big event after the Kabocha event is the Village of Treasures or what I love to call Gou no Sato! This time, there are new attendant BGMs featured, which are Taikou Samonji and Samidare Gou! To be honest, I was really surprised because I thought the doggies AmeKumo songs would be released together, but they proved me wrong. 😞 A bit of disappointment because my mindset is always AmeKumo forever.
AND AND‼️ The one news that shocked almost everyone in the fandom- we're getting new Kiwame! Not just one, but TWO‼️And NOT just any TWO, it's the two from the GOU‼️ Like, look at this teaser image-
👀 That slightly messy hair gave it away, to be honest... AND-!
NO ONE ELSE HAS THAT STYLISH BOB HAIRSTYLE IN MY MIND‼️
Can we just talk about how they are featured together??? Okay, it may be too presumptuous of us to predict it's exactly THEM both, but we can dream!! There's just so many alternating facts of these two, even their visuals complement each other by the direction they're facing...! I'll be waiting with bated breath for their Kiwame release!!
Then maybe after the Gou no Sato event, we have Special Investigation: Bunkyuu Tosahan- which as we know, features Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki as the main character and of course the special investigators; Hizen Tadahiro and Nankaitarou Chouson. It would be my first time playing this one so I'm quite excited for it 😆.
Then lastly, the one thing I did not expect because the revealed plan was only until Kurikara Gou- a new Touken Danshi, which can only be manifested through swords forging- which, honestly is not my favourite way to welcome a new Touken Danshi 🙃. What type of sword, which school is it from- nothing of it is known for now, but perhaps around the end of November, we will get a teaser image of them so I will have to make sure my heart is ready by the time too.
Anyway, with less than two days remaining for the Kabocha Event, good luck to those who haven't yet to pick up what they needed! Let's dive into the November schedule with more excitement too!!
Tactical Enhancement Training - The Great Pumpkin Plan
Fellow saniwas! It's been a while but behold! We have a very fruitful event going on- The Great Pumpkin Plan! I usually just call it the Pumpkin (Kabocha) Event since it's easier- well, let's see what we can get from this event!
From 21st October until the 4th of November, take this chance to obtain various rare Touken Danshi, including Unji, Unshou, Jikyuu Mitsutada and Nikko Ichimonji! It's either you get it after reaching certain points, or you get it by luck as their silhouettes show up on the board (also after reaching certain points).
So according to this table, if you don't want to depend on luck (which is rare for this event to be too unlucky)- you can get guaranteed Unji after reaching 120,000 and 300,000 points, Unshou at 100,000 and 200,000 points, Jikyuu Mitsutada at 170,000 points, and finally Nikko Ichimonji at 150,000 points. But IF, you actually want to get the guaranteed ones, you can definitely snag some luck there!
Basically if we do it well, we can get 4 Unjis, 4 Unshous, 3 Jikyuus and also 3 Nikkos.
We can even get other rare Touken Danshi like Yamanbagiri Chogi, Buzen Gou and Hanjin! (that's my main aim actually, since I just obtained Jikyuu)
So plan your time well until 4th November!! We still have time left for acquiring these beautiful boys!!
It's here!! The Zero Resource Repair Campaign!! The campaign will be set from 7th of October until 14th of October 2025, which is also the deadline for Koban Event! So take this chance to heal up all your wounded Touken Danshi and go wild in the Koban Event!! Remember, both this campaign and the Koban Event only have roughly around 1 week left and don't regret it by missing these two precious events!!
Aside from that, we also have new background release-
Pretty romantic, I must say.
For this background, we will have to collect strawberries and flowers(?) by going on expeditions and dispatches.
The amount needed is 70 strawberries and 50 flowers! Which, can be easily obtained in 1 to 2 weeks as long as you diligently pick all of them dailies!
Well, good luck for all your repairs, dispatches, expedition and of course Koban Event!
Folks! It's that event again! The Underground Treasure Chest Event aka Koban Event!! From, 30th of September until the 14th of October, this is your chance to stack up your koban for maybe Pumpkin Event or maybe maybe next year's Hyakki Yakou!
As usual, there are 99 floors, and at the rarest opportunity, you may even get one or two copies of Hakusan Yoshimitsu on floor 51 until 89 and floor 99, or Onimaru Kunitsuna on floor 90 until 99! Well, usually the gorilla saniwa will just go and loop floor 99, but if that's not your cup of tea (with the high-speed yari too), you can still farm your koban on any floor.
Use Hakata Toushirou to ensure more koban- with the Ubu Hakata providing 1.5× of the koban amount, and the Kiwame Hakata giving 2×!
In this time around, the ones with double EXP in the Awataguchi factions regardless of Kiwame ones or not are:
Onimaru Kunitsuna
Nakigitsune
Ichigo Hitofuri
Namazuo Toushirou
Honebami Toushirou
Hirano Toushirou
So take this chance to level them up because we also got Kiwame promax scheduled for the future!!
Anyway, best of luck for those farming for the Touken Danshi and koban!! Let's do our best too for October!!!
So in this post I'm gonna talk about some of the bits about PureCool Touken Danshi which can be found in some magazines featuring some interviews about this media mix. I bought some specifically because a lot of Touken Ranbu stuff was featured due to the grand 10th year anniversary.
About the 3D models:
💚 Kotegiri Gou
Production: The PureCool 3D models start with Kotegiri Gou. Especially the sparkle of the eyes which seemed to be imbued with life in them- we placed great importance on the power of his eyes. For the glasses, we can also exclude the lenses if we wanted to, but aside from representing Kotegiri Gou, it is also an irreplaceable item for him so we made sure to faithfully recreate them as well. We used physics calculations to program them to reflect ambient light realistically, and made repeated adjustments so that the eyes underneath the lenses could be clearly seen.
Author's comment: They really didn't lie when they said they want to emphasize his eyes, like- his eyes are so big and always sparkling while on stage. It's also nice that they decided to make sure the lenses exist there by always adjusting so it reflects the stage light while not hiding Kotegiri's beautiful green eyes. And I find it cute how his trousers are the only one with patterns, as it truly follows the original in-game design.
❤️ Buzen Gou
Production: We pursued a cool look worthy of being called Riida (Leader). There was a lot of pressure to make it look cool from any angle. We also paid particular attention to the inspiration behind the sleeve markings.
Author's comment: So true there, as the infamous boyfriend personification, there must be pressure to make him look handsome and cool at all times. It's similar to how artists worry about drawing handsome characters because they feel like they aren't capturing the handsomeness enough. And what I particularly like about this Buzen is that we can see the mean expression sometimes on his face because of that confident brows (I really dunno what I'm talking about lol). BUT! Yes, I can feel the charisma exuding from Buzen's design that may have convinced others to join in Kotegiri's mega idol plan.
💛 Kuwana Gou
Production: Since he works in the fields, his legs must be strong, so we gave him a solid, stable appearance. We feel that this has been well received. We also paid close attention to the eyes, which are hidden by his hair, and there are moments during the live performance when you can catch a glimpse of them.
Author's comment: Even from Kuwana's silhouette, we can see he's a bit bigger than others, which logically is because he frequently works in the field. And the fact that we can see a glimpse of his yellow eyes sometimes during live is just the best. I think it's also there in the livestream version. I can just imagine Kuwana fans dying from just a peek of his eyes which is both hilarious and amazing.
🩵 Matsui Gou
Production: The movement of the cape was the biggest challenge, and we kept trying to figure out how to control it until the very end. We're still working on it, and we're going to keep improving it. We tried to capture his unique, beautiful and sexy aura with a supple bodyline, which is the opposite of Kuwana Gou's.
Author's comment: That long, fluttering jacket must've been a hard work to temper it, and even in the first live, it looked a bit stiff but from the latest videos, we can see that they've improved a lot and there's also Tomita Gou's jacket which is way longer than Matsui's. And yes, I love how they include the comment that they made it the opposite of Kuwana's- like look at those long legs. There's a certain gap in Matsui that captivates me where he looks feminine yet we know it's a man.
💜 Samidare Gou
Production: The thing around the neck that sways was difficult. As a ninja, he has a strong core and solid inner muscles. His facial features are cool, so out of the six swords, we spent the most time adjusting the eye design.
Author's comment: I understand that the scarf was hard too like Matsui's cape, but seeing them struggling with Ame-san's eyes is an understatement. Like, they're sharp but not completely lifeless? But you know what, my all-time favourite about Ame-san's design even in PureCool is his dog ears and tail. When I see that tail swishing sometimes, I just squeal. Seeing Ame-san jumping around doing acrobatics really proves he's a ninja.
🩷 Murakumo Gou
Production: We particularly focused on her hair, and the ornament on her right hand was also a key point. Dancing with her jacket loose, just like in the original is also one of the challenging part. He actually has long limbs and a strong core, so probably when he dances, you can see the contrast with her shy personality.
Author's comment: THE CUTEST (biased). But yes, for Kumo-san, the hair especially the strands of her bangs is always challenging for any artist. And the fact they kept his jacket loose the entire show is just so precious. Also, I like how in the live, he always has his hand on his stomach either by reflex or his stomach hurts like always. But it seemed that in the latest Ghostella one, he seemed to be more confident than in the tasting performance (I love him so much).
Anyway, I will probably continue other answered interview questions in another post if I have the time because things are going to get busy for me soon.
Now folks, get ready for the newly released schedule of next month- October 2025!!
First of all, we have the currently running campaigns- Magoroku Kanemoto Limited-Time Forging Campaign and also Double Boss Drop Campaign! I wonder how everyone's resources are faring? Is it depleted? Or are you saving it because you already have Magoroku-san? Anyway, for my revenge this year...
I SUCCESSFULLY GOT MAGOROKU-SAN!!!!!
And thankfully, he came in like- 60-70 smithing, and it's safe to say that my resources are safe right now. So now I'm taking my sweet time forging like twice × 10 everyday to see if I'm lucky enough to have a second or third Magoroku-san (but that doesn't seem to happen yet)- but I'm also taking this chance to increase the Ranbu levels of some of my Touken Danshi with that all 700 resource value.
For our next big event in October, we will have Underground Treasure Chest Event aka Koban Event, and as always we have our always reliable koban multiplier Mr. Hakata Toushirou. To be honest, I think all saniwas need this event to restore their wealth especially if they max the Hyakki Yakou Event and Gou no Sato Event (aka me). The Awataguchi drops and EXP multiplier in this event is also very good, so take this chance to max out your Awataguchi team!
And another big event which is probably around the end of October is the Kabocha Daisakusen aka Pumpkin Event! Last year, Unshou-san appeared as a new Touken Danshi at the time, but it seems that they plan to feature him and Unji-san together this time (which, Unji-san does fit the pumpkin theme more). There's probably a lot of rare Touken Danshi as drops too, and hopefully they keep Hanjin, Buzen and Chougi as one of the drops because their Ranbu levels ain't gonna increase anytime soon.
AND! My focus aside from the Koban-collecting event is the Zero Resource Repair Campaign, because I've been saving up resources for Magoroku-san, and I'm pretty sure a lot of my Touken Danshi needs repair, whether light or heavy ones.
We have a new background, which requires us to collect certain resources, and the theme seems to be modern too. So it wasn't a lie when they said they're gonna increase more modern-like background after Dai Honmaru Haku Event.
Then, we have Double Treasure Fragment Drop Rate Campaign in Iko, which usually does work and I usually spend my lanterns here if possible.
And finally, the most surprising bomb they dropped on us is the uncreased max level for Kiwame swords, which increases from Lv. 99 to Lv. 199- there's a lot of theories and discussions about this, but I'll wait until it's officially released.
Anyway, good luck for those currently smithing for Magoroku-san, and best of luck too for both Koban Event and Pumpkin Event!
Starting from 24th of September until 7th of October, the long-awaited Magoroku Kanemoto Forging Campaign starts! The resources are all set at 700 as usual, so take this chance to welcome this dark type-like ikemen into your honmaru!
Aside from that-
Ranbu Level 10 Implementation
We also have the Ranbu Level 10 implementation! When your touken danshi reaches Ranbu Level 10, certain stats will level up and you will get to hear special voicelines, along with a gimmick of you, the saniwa, giving the touken danshi a gift. You will be choosing among three gifts, one with obviously brightly sparkling one, one normal with just a little bit of sparkle, and the last one with obviously dark aura attached to it- so with each of the gifts comes different voicelines according to which one you choose!
The overall background looks like this, wuth my lovely starter touken Kashuu 🫶🏻
The new Ranbu Level 10 voicelines are very cute and feels like a fresh breath for each touken danshi after like- stagnant, constant voicelines for ten or less years of their manifestation. And some even said things that made me feel like I'm proposing to them, so do steel your heart especially for your favourite swords 👍🏻
And since there are some really really rare touken danshi, they plan to adjust their acquirability (?) by next year.
Double Boss Drop Campaign
To top it off, we have double boss drop rate for every map, at that red point. I don't really depend on these double drop rates because I would repeat some familiar maps which already have Kebiishi anyway to get resources. But for this one, it's only until the 30th of September, so to anyone who wants to farm boss-drop Touken Danshi, do be careful not to miss it!
Author's note: I've been playing PEAK in solo mode a lot lately and suddenly this idea popped into my mind. I would also love to see various Touken Danshi doing everyday life things and losing their mind over it. I'm starting with Gou because I'm biased and obsessed hahah. Maybe I should also do a R.E.P.O hc one next? Or other sword factions? I'm also happy if you guys have any thoughts on it! And mind you, I'm an absolute beginner at making this stuffs so bear that in mind!
• Kotegiri Gou
- the natural caretaker, his wakizashi traits shines even in the game
- takes the backpack at the starting point without question and makes sure he always has food and bandages on hand
- cooks every food he has whenever he finds a campfire or portable stove
- periodically asks everyone if anyone is hurt or hungry
- never the one ahead or behind, is always in the middle because 1) he has to take care of everyone and 2) everyone else actually protects him because he's the one keeping the team alive
- he gets advice from Kuwana on which shrooms and berries to keep
- for some reason always has a rope spool in hand
- the only reason he dies is because of the heavy weight of foods and items he carries
Favourite stage: SHORE
Favourite difficulty: Tenderfoot because everyone rarely dies except for the troublemakers
• Buzen Gou
- the reckless adventurer
- always wayyyyyyy ahead of everyone else or the one who leads the line
- is always asking 'oooh, what is that' and 'wow, what is this' but tries it anyway before anyone could explain or stop him and may have died twice or thrice because of that
- big lollipops and energy drinks are his favourite (and others tries to confiscate it from him)
- may have hoarded all the rope cannon and chain launcher because he likes the feeling of shooting it
- seems to be recklessly climbing ahead, but is very reliable when you need him especially in the last stages (though he dies a lot in early stages)
Favourite stage: all of them is fun
Favourite difficulty: he likes all of it, but somehow he feels like the harder the difficulty is, the more everyone scolded him (it's because he always went far ahead)
• Kuwana Gou
- the whole nature is his domain
- has no problem tasting every wildlife that he could get his hands on
- the only time he would stray from the group is when he spotted any plants far away
- feeds anyone problematic with poisonous mushrooms or berries or (when he's really pissed) Scorchberry (mostly Buzen, Matsui or Samidare)
- he likes to calmly analyze the mountain, the weather pattern and resources before starting to climb, but it takes too much time so the only difficulty he can shine is in Tenderfoot
- he doesn't have any favourite foods, but he feels proud seeing the others eating the edible wildlife he personally picked
- probably always has a shelf fungus on hand in case of emergency
- he dies when trying to collect berries at hard-to-reach or extreme places
Favourite stage: TROPICS
Favourite difficulty: Tenderfoot because no fog will chase him who's probably experimenting with the wildlife
• Matsui Gou
- for some reason, his stamina bar is always full of different status (mostly the red one)
- the one who gets hurt the most yet is the one who rarely uses bandages or first aid kits
- purposely fall so he could scare the group (mostly Kotegiri and Murakumo, sometimes Kurikara)
- immediately reach out his hand to Buzen but purposely reach in and out repeatedly when it's anyone else
- Scorchberry is his favourites, and Kuwana gave up feeding him that after the third time
- once found a parasol in MESA stage and had fun flying in the tornado with it (with the others screaming for him from below)
- dies the most in-game and he doesn't regret it (though Inaba and Kotegiri scolded him a lot for it)
Favourite stage: TROPICS, ALPINE and MESA (he likes such extreme conditions)
Favourite difficulty: the harder it is, the better (but he always dies anyway)
• Samidare Gou
- is always up ahead to scout the terrain before regrouping to report to the group
- in the second stage, always challenges himself to climb in the rain because it's his name (rain = ame)
- always the first one to spot any luggage lying around and diligently reports to the group
- if the luggage is too far away or on a terrain hard to reach, he makes it his mission to take it
- probably the one who gives foods and bandages in the luggages to Kotegiri
- but don't get him wrong, he also has his own naughty side like trying to get beehive from the swarming bees and dying over it
- he regards all foods in the game as seasonal words, so all of them are his favourites
- anti-rope spool and anti-rope cannon is his forte because it seems to defy all logics (it does)
- his death is always the most unexpected (and makes Murakumo cry)
Favourite stage: TROPICS and KILN
Favourite difficulty: the harder it is, the better he can test his (in-game) ninja skills
• Murakumo Gou
- for some reason is always tormented by the hungry status
- always the one far behind the group and everyone can hear him groaning and whining from below
- somehow never dies, so one time everyone except him died and became ghosts, he got the First Aid Naturalist hat by reviving everyone (while everyone is cheering him on, his stomach hurts the whole time in real-life
- takes the backpack on the second or third level because he feels like he needed to do something too
- his favourites are all the packaged foods because he saw Kuwana feeding Matsui and Buzen poisons and he never trusted any wildlife around him (except what Kotegiri fed him)
- loves the heat packs the most and cries when he had to leave it behind in the CALDERA stage
- climbs better under pressure (especially by the fog), but there's also a lot of screaming
Favourite stage: SHORE
Favourite difficulty: he'd prefer not to hurt his stomach so often- so the lower the difficulty, the better
• Inaba Gou
- never liked to play games to begin with, but with everyone pestering him, he reluctantly played and somehow became the captain who led them to the peak (if he's gonna do it anyway, he gotta be serious)
- scolds anyone who doesn't play seriously or die needlessly (read: Buzen and Matsui)
- is the one who do the crouching so others can get a boost in climbing (and does it without a word too)
- at the end of every level, there's always someone being carried on his back
- does not have favourites, but prefers his foods to be cooked
- does not die in-game because he thinks it's shameful
Favourite stage: KILN
Favourite difficulty: he likes the more difficult levels, but he finds the slow and relaxed pace of Tenderfoot calming (like he doesn't even need to scold the troublemakers one)
• Tomita Gou
- prefers to watch rather than playing
- like you can hear him chuckling amidst Murakumo's screaming
- but one time everyone was struggling to get past this one level, he took over and somehow led everyone to the peak
- became the trump card every time it's hard to get past any level
- feeds Inaba any plants he found to test for poisons (Inaba feeds him back if there is poison)
- lets the hungry status go on until someone fed him (read: Kotegiri or Inaba)
- likes the Pandora lunchbox the most because you never know what status it gives you
- thinks all the mystical items convenient, so when he's serious, he can make sure no one dies so he can check what item they can get at the statue
- he doesn't die in-game, but always has a near-death accidents that would make the others scream (he did it purposely)
Favourite stage: ALPINE and MESA
Favourite difficulty: the more difficult it is, the better :) (everyone shudders when he said this)
• Kurikara Gou
- only played because everyone said it's mandatory for every sword (it's a lie)
- always strayed from the group far ahead, then one time he was way far ahead that he met the horror-like legendary Scoutmaster Myres with his screen glitching, he never went far from everyone after that (bro is traumatized)
- the one who said he won't help anyone who falls down, yet one time Murakumo falls down deep, he silently went down and carried Murakumo until they reached the group
- always refuses foods or bandages from Kotegiri until he dies then ironically Kotegiri revived him
- later always stocks on food by himself, but everytime the food goes to the other Gou because he feels sorry for them (he's weak against their cryings)
- does not have any favourite foods, but he always asks Kuwana which one is edible and which is not
- one time he found a bunch of balloons and floated right ahead of the others (he was panicking over the controls and others were screaming and chasing after him)
- he only dies when he needlessly worried and picked up those who purposely died (read: Buzen and Matsui), and was surrounded by fogs before he knew it
Favourite stage: CALDERA
Favourite difficulty: anything is fine for him, but he prefers going solo
Folks! Here it is, Hihou no Sato- or what I like to call it, Gou no Sato!! An event where we collect beads by lining up hanafuda cards of the same sets in order to get various rewards which of course, includes all the Gou swords! This time, a new addition to the Gou group is the long-awaited tantou belonging to Akechi Mitsuhide, Kurikara Gou!
If you want to preserve your koban as much as you want, maybe reaching only 100,00 is good since all the Gou swords can be obtained in that number. But! If you wanna level up their Ranbu level, it would be better to try your best and reach until 300,000 because Gou swords are rarely featured as drops in other events except for maybe Kotegiri or Buzen in Pumpkin Event or Chocolate Event- which is way too long to wait for.
The good thing about the event this time around is that we actually get three Kotegiri as rewards, instead of just one like usual. And look at that packed poster... the Gous are really increasing, huh?
The event is only until 24th of September, so if you want to at least get one copy of Kurikara Gou, don't miss the deadline and reach 100,000 beads!
New Touken Danshi full body reveal- tantou, Kurikara Gou (倶利伽羅江)!!
A tantou crafted by swordsmith Gou no Yoshihiro, also a beloved sword of Akechi Mitsuhide.
So, Akechi Mitsuhide is famous for his coup d'état against Oda Nobunaga, which results in the Honnoji Incident. Which is probably why his voice line says: "There are many famous swords here, but the swords of traitors are frowned upon, so I'm keeping quiet."
To be honest, with how Kotegiri is proactively making all the Gous into singing and dancing tsukumogami, I don't think he can stay quiet as he claims. Well jokes aside, all Gou fans probably hope for continuation of Stage Act Recollections, but I also personally hope he has lots of recollections with the Oda swords specifically. Like, imagine him going head-to-head with Fudou Yukimitsu. Let them pull each others' hair or something.
It is also said that this sword perished alongside his master in the fire which marks the fall of Sakamoto Castle and Akechi side. Later on, a rusted blade was found in the mud of an old well- which couldn't be identified anymore, and is said to be Kurikara Gou. This method of disposing of one's treasure was said to be used to avoid having precious treasures fall in the hands of the enemy, which speaks volumes of how famous and precious Kurikara Gou was, being a signed tantou crafted by the equally infamous genius swordsmith Gou no Yoshihiro.
Another trivia for this Gou baby is that his voice actor, Tsuchiya Simba, was also the one who acted as him in the first Touken Ranbu movie! Truly a dream come true! For who? I'll leave it to your imagination!
No one can say for sure what his member colour is, but if we observe at him at first glance, the gradient of greyish white with a tint of red- doesn't that look like it was burned? Or maybe from the ash? Or maybe it's the rust after being in the well for so long? No one can say for sure now.
Tomorrow, maintenance will be carried out from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. (Japan time), so don't forget to finish the ongoing events while you have the time!
- Taikei Naotane Limited-Time Forging Campaign (don't forget about the next limited smithing campaign, Magoroku Kanemoto too!)
- Fireworks Event (the EXP point for certain touken danshi and the drops are also good if you wanna farm, considering the opening up of Ranbu Level 10)
- Triple Koban Campaign (use the birdies if you need to on the 24-hour expedition one! just use all!)
Well, I hope you all have the best day ever because I'm still excited after Kurikara Gou's full reveal! I wonder what the other Gou calls him? I will decide his nickname based on that!
We already know from the anniversary announcement in January that it's Kurikara Gou, who will be voiced by the movie's actor himself- Tsuchiya Simba! Can't wait for his release!!
AND CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IF ALL GOUS ARE GONNA BE PACKED IN ONE SCREEN AGAIN 🤣
Another shocking news from Toumyu while everyone is still struggling to accept the reality of new performance announcements. (And the poster was so... white that everyone initially ignored it until they read it properly 😐)
NEW YEAR COUNTDOWN PARTY!! WITH THE GOU ON STAGE CASTS!!!!!
And when I say it is Gou on Stage casts, of course it also includes Oodenta-san and Suishinshi too!!!
Honestly with how wild it was during Zepp Tour Reboot, I thought they wouldn't have anything together anymore unless there's like- I don't know, Shinpen Satomi Hakkenden 2? But apparently the Toumyu isn't done with these adorable casts yet (biased).
And as a Gou fan, I really took this hard because I really thought I can't see them anymore aside from in any festivals. And for the reference, I started Toumyu with Gou on Stage: Shinpen Satomi Hakkenden, then dived straight into Zepp Tour and even attended the Zepp Tour Reboot. So you can see I'm practically tamed by them.
Also, they say it's a countdown party, but I also hope there's the funny sketch they always do during Zepp, and I kinda hope they sing the new group song '36.2°', which- would probably make everyone cry. I also would love to hear their solo or duet songs, both new and old ones (greedy).
Toumyu fans!! Are you still breathing and alive? Because I almost died! Of course any Toumyu fans would with how quiet they were after the Tokyo Dome, then suddenly this bomb dropped and massacred everyone (emotionally).
~ 静かなる夜半の寝ざめ ~ (Shizukanaru yo ha no mezame), or with rough translations: "The Quiet Midnight Awakening" (I'm not so sure with the title one, but ignore it), will feature a cast of Touken Danshi that shook everyone to the core.
Nikkari Aoe (played by Araki Koudai), Samidare Gou (played by Yamazaki Shogo), Yamanbagiri Kunihiro (played by Kato Daigo), Heshikiri Hasebe (played by Kihara Rui), Yamanbagiri Chougi (played by Mizue Kenta), and finally Goke Kanemitsu (played by Sana Koki). There are also other historical figure casts, which includes Ashikaga Takauji, Sasaki Doyo etc.
I am not gonna comment on the cast because I am an absolute beginner in 2.5D actors things- but even looking at this lineup and historical figures from a TouRabu gamer perspective-
THIS IS GONNA BE LIT. 🔥
Like- we will finally get the two Yamanbagiris in one actual performance that has a plotline, and it actually made me laugh seeing Goke Kanemitsu and Yamanbagiri Chougi being featured together seeing how they also have a Recollection together based in the game. BUT! Of course this is the MyuHonmaru, so while we can't expect it to be precisely 100% canon, we can wish and hope right? Also, this is a bit (not a bit actually) biased, but I am actually sad that Ame-san will be appearing without Kumo-san because it may means no more matching outfits with Kumo-san 😩. But it's fine. They say the more you're away from each other, the more you miss the other person right?
Also, since the story is about the Ashikaga, maybe it will revolve around Yamanbagiri Kunihiro? Or maybe I should do my history homework more- but it's really an interesting lineup and I can't wait to see how they interact with each other especially the two Yamanbagiris.
Okay back to the track- the period of the performance is during December until March, in Tokyo, Fukuoka, Osaka then back to Tokyo for the encore. I am guessing we will not get any new Touken Danshi soon seeing how new ones are poured into the Banryou Hito one, but who knows? Apparently Toumyu likes surprising the fans with really really unexpected news so, let's just buckle up and repair ourselves emotionally first after the storm yesterday.
The lyrics video for Ghostella has been released!!!
The video is really the best the fans could ask for- appealing visuals and epic transitions, which, also match with the musics, bits of fanservice here and there (Tomita-san winked)-like there's a lot to ramble about.
My favourites are the shots where we can almost all members OR- thier sword crest. Because it just shows that they're definitely a group and- I don't know, I just feel like Kotegiri's dream is really becoming true. Like- my guy has been filling in the moat ever since he manifested- telling Hirano and Kasen that the Gous are tsukumogami who can sing and dance- and now is making that statement of his come true. I definitely didn't expect that from him with how proper and polite he looked with his first impression. It's also one thing that the members after him just accepted the nuance despite the mix of personal quirks and attitudes.
Okay okay- just, look at these shots.
I LOVE THEM SO MUCH.
The visuals or the Gous, you ask?
BOTH.
Also, even though they just tweaked a bit of their expression, I think every fans just- burst right there and then (ME). Like- look at these!!
The one made me laugh was Kuwana's though, like we can't see the eyes then he went, "Oh, then I will stuck my tongue out a bit like this then~". Very cunning, Kuwana Gou. Also, look at how soft Kumo-kun is there!!!!! Let me protect him!!!!! I kinda expected those winks from those three, but seeing it becoming reality just- how to say this- yea, it's dangerous. I really don't wanna step into that zone, I might die from overstimulation. Kotegiri looks so honestly happy there rather than giving fanservice, so I'm happy too. Lemme protect you and your dream my baby 🥲. Ame-san, yes, the small smile which will make you explode because he rarely gives one. And Ina-san, oh, Inaba Gou. Just- just stay that way. You're handsome enough to be that way. Let Tomita handle all the clear and direct fanservice. Let yours be the rarest one that when you do give one, everyone just dies (Including me).
I feel like my vocabulary is thinning out after seeing that video but ignore it please.
I'm wondering if I should write the romaji lyrics here and ramble about it, but the post is definitely gonna get longer and I think I'll just do it if someone asks.
Alright folks, get ready for the new month of Touken Ranbu! Of course, it starts with the currently running events; Fireworks Event amd Taikei Naotane Limited-Time Forging Event, which both ends on 9th of September. Oh, and don't forget to do the triple koban campaign as much as you can too! I also usually set at least three teams to expeditions, and all whenever I'm offline.
Then, let's take a look on the next one after these.
OH MY, LOOK! We have the event, Village of Treasures- Flower Gathering Stage aka Gou no Sato (sorry, it's actually Hihou no Sato)! And oh?! We have new attendant songs, featuring Chiganemaru and Nikko Ichimonji! AND OH!! WE ALSO HAVE NEW TOUKEN DANSHI IN THE EVENT?! I WONDER WHO THAT IS?! 🤣
Jokes aside, I think everyone who has seen the Dai Honmaru Haku event knows who that certain Touken Danshi is AND personally!! I've been waiting for him too (biased). Well, well, we will see how they will reveal him later, considering we already know who his seiyuu is!
In addition, we also have Magoroku Kanemoto Limited-Time Forging Event WHICH- I will personally have revenge on. (How dare he did not come after bankrupting my honmaru last year 💀). You might say it's a good thing I already have Taikei Naotane, so I will have the chance to save up my resources as of now.
Oh and?! Ranbu level increase at this stage? The maximum as of now is 9, and most of my Touken Danshi have reached 9 and 8. I don't mind the non-rare ones since we can get them on regular dispatch but the rare ones... hopefully our drop luck will be better in the future events. But don't worry! Most events have really good drops each time!
Then we have the usual (?) Underground Chest Event aka KOBAN EVENT. With Gou no Sato also requiring Koban, they're really pushing us to the limits, huh.
There are lots of planning to do, especially in terms of koban and resources management, but I'm sure everyone has their own plan and strategy. I bid all of us good luck for these upcoming events!! (Especially the forging one. ESPECIALLY MAGOROKU ONE).
Take this chance to get this cute, scientist-like shinshintou Touken Danshi into your honmaru! In addition, his light outfit was just released the other day, so dress him up too if you'd like!
Personally, I already have Taikei Naotane from the previous campaign, so I don't plan on splirging here, because I plan to save in case other rare Touken Danshi plans to have it's campaign rerun in another time- cough like Magoroku cough-!
Anyway, the campaign, like the fireworks event, is only until 9th of September! So don't forget to plan your resources well!!
