Here's an MHA AU. Same plot, but the LoV are journalists hellbent on shaming societal flaws.

Shigaraki writes essays about how faith in hero society has exacerbated the Bystander Effect in average citizens.

Dabi wrote a devastating autobiography about his personal experiences and has since partnered with Shigaraki in running a podcast interviewing the relatives of other heroes whose careers have led them to neglect/abuse their families.

Spinner writes/draws satirical comics criticizing the HPSC.

Mr. Compress is running a talkshow that focuses on criticizing hero society.

Twice is a freelance reporter whose rapid and contradictory questions have often led to his hero interviewees getting flustered, slipping up, and admitting to something they shouldn’t.

Magne is a blogger who writes about the flaws in the system and their impact on sidelined citizens.

Toga is the youth they’re ‘corrupting with their radical ideology.’

Personally, I’m mostly entertained by the soft Dabi reveal. Like that autobiography is fully immersed in society, it’s publication can’t be suppressed, and this is how Endeavor finds out Touya is alive. Just gaslighting himself into believing this is an imposter before that DNA test comes back.
