In the first episode of HERE COMES THE NEIGHBORHOOD the stage is set for the Wynwood Arts District. Parking lots, loading docks and factory walls are transformed into "The Wynwood Walls". Founder Tony Goldman explains his vision for a town center, while Jeffrey Deitch, Arts Manager Meghan Coleman and Co-Curator Medvin Sobio offer their insight into the project's significance, taking us into the present day expansion. In addition, Photographer Martha Cooper and Miami based Mural Project Primary Flight weigh in.

I don't believe there will ever be a world totally free of violence, crime and the need for justice. To me, this kind of idealism is scary in that it ignores or glosses over the permanent reality of the mercurial human condition.
I do believe that we can live in a world where there is much less of all these things. I believe that one of the paths in getting there is understanding better how to deal with those that break our societies agreed upon codes of conduct.
Vancouver, Canada's Downtown Community Court is a brave initiative that I think the world needs to pay attention to. It is nuanced. It is rational. Ultimately, it may save us all millions not just lives. It's human.

Mitchell Joachim is a Co-Founder of Terreform ONE. He is an Associate Professor in Practice at NYU and EGS in Switzerland. He was formerly an architect at Gehry Partners, and Pei Cobb Freed. He is a TED Senior Fellow and has been awarded fellowships with Moshe Safdie and Martin Society for Sustainability, MIT. He was chosen by Wired magazine for "The Smart List: 15 People the Next President Should Listen To". Rolling Stone magazine honored Mitchell in "The 100 People Who Are Changing America". Mitchell won many awards including; AIA New York Urban Design Merit Award, Victor Papanek Social Design Award, Zumtobel Group Award for Sustainability and Humanity, History Channel Infiniti Award for City of the Future, and Time Magazine Best Invention with MIT Smart Cities Car. Dwell magazine featured him as "The NOW 99" in 2012. He earned a Ph.D. at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, MAUD Harvard University, M.Arch. Columbia University.
