A low hum came as the Breton explained herself. It wasn’t exactly a bad thing, being so curious about the cheese, but the giant didn’t exactly approve either - Shaking his head slightly. “You think too much, Nord. The cheese tastes good, keeps your gut happy - Is that not enough?.” An enormous hand reached out to the bowl, taking a handful of the curds.
“If you want cheese, you must give me something in return.”
She chuckled softly, though not unkindly, at that. Perhaps she did think too much. But then, this sort of thinking was her profession.
She watched as the hand scooped out curd from the bowl, shifting her satchel, turning her gaze back onto the giant. Shit. What could she barter with a giant? A pause and she chewed her lip, thinking. “That’s fair. I’m not sure I have anything that would interest, but… do your… kind use potions? I have drinks that will heal wounds, cure ills. And human food that tastes good.”
Drinks that heal wounds, there was little that could mean him harm but that did sound good. As did the food, but how would this Nord provide? She had no cow or goat to sell, where was she keeping it?
“We chew the roots and leaves, some heal and some don’t.” He answered. “Show your offer.”
