Stranger Things S2 AU

While I'm talking about my AUs, let's post some art that @ayellowapple cooked up for my Stranger Things AU I'm writing.

When you impose your being and intentions on someone else's shape and accidentally will something else into existence. Kithing. AU where Steve didn't make it out of the tunnels and he's kept alive by the one thing that could validate him - love from someone else. The kids aren't going to let him die, even if it's by accident. Even though he survives, his body becomes more of a necrobiome. Started accidentally as a demogorgon Steve AU and quickly took a hard left when I found out basically everyone ever has done that one.

This is going to be a love letter to what the show was, what I wish it could be and the books that the last season only half did a job of paying ode to. Since I'm someone who wrote a thesis on L'engle's books, I have a lot of ideas here. The name I use for him here is Demiurge and for those who know her books the title of the fic is going to be from whence the ecthroi came.

The main characters are going to be Steve, Eddie and Billy. I intend to contrast how canon went while adding new stories using their individual potentials. Also, I really like body horror and I'm having a hell of a good time researching mushroom processes while making sure to avoid repeating a certain videogame. Did you know there's a meat made of mushroom? It's a biological object. Demiurge is, too.

Anyway, cautionary tale, never drink the Russian green radioactive water, but do let Eddie be the only one who knows you're alive and takes care of you with gifts through a small hole. Did you know some bats give gifts like crows? Reading rainbow.

Luke Nightingale, the loneliest boy in the world, validated by the poison of both obsession and hate by the man he (probably) imagined. Of course the thing hates him, it's a shadow of his own self and soul. Unless...?

It's an argument for being made up and all too real, because Luke could never imagine a world where anyone bothers with him in any way at all.

Okay but to add on to this, this is why I love this story so much and why is want to write something where they're swapping roles. That's usually such a common au but it lights up the brain in all the right ways. So here's some shit I made for the burgeoning AU on my brain.

Just a piece I made for an Until Dawn AU I've never actually done anything with. Maybe I'll post more of the art for her later.

Let's just say it's a take where she's sole survivor and uses it to veer in another direction entirely to spite those men who only wanted to fight over each other... and the mountain that wanted to take everything from her while leaving nothing behind.
