big hc list for the shovel knight cast: if a chara isn't included here i probably don't have many thoughts abt them or i forgot </3 a few slightly more detailed explanations under the cut

DISCLAIMER certain charas are based on my own experience. it was personally very gender affirming to be able to play fem shovel but w he/him pronouns bc i am also a trans man. i also play v fast and loose w my hcs so these are subject to change or can change for specific jokes/rbs.

shovel and shield: see this one's really funny. i'm the youngest new shovel knight player so i didn't realize shield was the enchantress in my playthrough. this means i made shield she/her but the enchanter they/them. i think in the context of this it means shield realized they were a demigirl bc of that whole thing. regardless i think they're both unlabelled bc they're more important to each other than putting specific words to their relationship.

king knight: i think if you asked abt him being asexual he'd say some shit like "i'm not letting anyone touch me bc they don't deserve it" but it's really a fear of intimacy. i get it.

specter: when i looked up the bigender flag apparently a bad person made it so i just didn't use it to be sure. i also think via cool ghost powers he can swap between m/f sprites but i wasn't sure how to represent it so i went with the one i think she uses more.

treasure: likes men but is kinda scared to admit that aloud. says he doesn't have time for this.

tinker: he is trapped in my objectum dungeon (i am also objectum) forever. BE SEALED FOR ALL TIME !!
