azul’s hand was held tightly in yours, fingers interlaced firmly to keep him in tow behind you as you led him towards the plush cushions set out in the center of his office. you hear him hum in question behind you, curious of your sudden initiative to drag him away from the desk he had been sitting at.
“you’ve been working too hard lately, don’t you think ?” you tug him down to settle on the seat with you. his eyes are tired, no doubt from the mindless hours he’d spent just before pouring over a thick stack of paperwork regarding mostro lounge’s finances. azul had always been a hard worker, constantly working towards improving both himself and his assets. evidently enough, his ever so diligent ways had managed to put him in the state you’d found him in - worn out and overworked and deserving of no less than a nice, long break.
“i can’t say i agree,” his smiles wryly. “i’ll be sure to spend my time with you once i’m done, dear.”
“i promise i wont keep you for long ! come closer, i know the perfect place for you to recharge.” you pat your lap, ushering him to lay back across the length of the couch and rest his head on your thighs.
azul’s eyes widen at your suggestion, ears rapidly growing pink at the thought of such an intimate act. he forces out a cough and stares at you in bewilderment for a good second or two, too caught off guard by the sudden proposal.
“i couldn’t,” he takes an extra moment to fully compose himself, ready to reject your generous offer without a second thought. “i couldn’t possibly do such a thing. perhaps i can indulge you some other time.”
azul tries to stand, only to be stopped by a tug of his sleeve. he looks towards you once more, this time with his nerves steeled with his resolve to continue with his remaining workload.
“but azul . . .” you draw out his name, eyebrows furrowing to mask your face in the look of desperation you’d known azul to be weak to.
he falters, defenses quickly crumbling at the motion of your begging. as much as he would loath to admit, the soft spot hidden within the crevices of azul’s heart were reserved for you and only you. it was a weakness he’d never thought would come to fruition - and yet there he was, stuck with a racing heart and a mind scrambling to cling to his original intent.
azul finally sighs, letting himself give into your enticing offer. he’s silent, only managing to settle himself onto your lap without making direct eye contact with you, you breathe out a laugh at his stiffness, assuring him that there was no need to be so embarrassed.
“you’re much too kind to me.” his hand comes up to gingerly cup your cheek, fingers softly caressing your skin. his touch lingers, encompassing what you’d think could be all the gentleness in the world. the tip of his fingers trace along the edge of your jawline before his thumb brushes against your lips. he drops his hand then, unknowingly leaving you to reel at the loss of his delicate touch.
he shuts his eyes with a small smile playing on his lips. you can barely hear his next words, too engulfed in the warm feeling azul had left behind in the wake of his affectionate touches.

though ruggie isn't too big on using nicknames, the occasional royalty based endearment slips out every so often. ranging from “your majesty” to “my liege”, each of the titles he throws around in jest are never meant to be taken seriously, all said with a lighthearted lilt to his voice
ruggie thrives off of equality between the both of you. the difference in social class between the two of you isn’t something that can always be ignored, but he would much rather see you for who you are rather than what you are. at the end of the day, ruggie would still leave his heart in your care whether you swam in money or not
he doesn’t exactly put you on a pedestal for your social standing nor does he allow himself to look like someone to be pitied by you. coming from virtually two different worlds brings issues that would need to be worked out over time, namely concerning ruggie’s frugality and your seemingly abundance of wealth
even with the knowledge of you being well off, he’d still like to be able to provide for you when the time calls for it. sometimes he can’t help but feel awkward to be able to not return gifts rivaling yours in lavishness. as much as he loves to be spoiled by you, there’s only so much he can do to return the love. instead of pricy gifts, ruggie finds himself hand making little trinkets for you
surprise gifts are handed to you out of the blue, accompanied by a sheepish grin and his quiet huffs of laughter. they range from hand crafted flower crowns to bracelets he’d been saving to sell for a handsome price
( ruggie figures that sacrificing a few sale items for you is worth being able to see your smile )
that being said, he makes sure to save up loose change to be able to specially treat you for special occasions. money is spent sparingly on most occasions, but he tries his best to chip in on your birthday and anniversaries !!
it’s not difficult to sway him away from his resolve to pay though - just say the word and the bill for dinner’s all yours ! he acts innocent, once more insisting to cover the price even if his fingers were itching to stash away the stack of money in his pocket back into the safety of his piggy bank. a final decisive nod was all it took for ruggie to break out into a grin, lips soon after hastily pressed to your cheeks as a silent thank you
from his experience with the wealthy, ruggie view on your background melds into the concept of you having a pampered lifestyles back at home. he takes it upon himself to teach you a few “practical survival tips” that he’d bet you’d never learned from life as a noble. he means well, but there are times where he can’t help but mess with you a little bit - your reactions are just too cute to him !! he introduces you to new slang terms you’d never heard of before, only to twist the meanings around to get you to say something that gets you weird looks from people passing by
his little lessons of “practical survival tips” dont come without proper compensation!! even as his beloved s/o you’re still pestered to pay him the proper dues for his kind work!!
you always seem to overpay him when the time to pay up comes,, something ruggie’s learned to accept without questioning. he’d spoken up during your first overpayment, but he’d soon realized that there was nothing he could do to get you to budge on the situation
leaching off of your wealth is the last thing ruggie wants to do. your position in his life was to be his sweet s/o, bound to him by heart and not by obligation to care for his monetary needs. your relationship is more than a give and take to him, and he continuously makes sure you’re both on the same page whenever your positions in society clash
small bits of reassurance from you goes a long way to reaffirm your bond. doubts do tend to seep into ruggie’s mind at the worst of times, but they’re usually things he can manage to brush off to come back to you with a smile on his face. the simple gesture of you reaffirming where both of you stand together is enough to squeeze at his heart

it takes time for ruggie to become properly accustomed to your sudden urges to plant kisses across his hands. he’s cautious, always weary of those around him and what ever tricks they may have up their sleeves - though, he of course has his own fair share of tricks hidden away. his eyes on you stay unwavering the first few times you attempt to plant kisses across the backs of his hands. his gaze is curious, prodding even to see what exactly your intentions were
each of your later tries to kiss his hands are best prepped with a minor tap of his hand, the pressure enough to garner his attention. he doesn’t look at you nearly as intently as he had before, now fully ready and willing to take in your little act of affection
your kisses are practically always met with ruggie's usual bouts of lighthearted teasing. the cheerfulness plastered across his face with matching mirthful laughter is enough to make you giggle alongside him

kalim finds you absolutely adorable !! there’s nothing more endearing to him than having you be affectionate, and having you indulge him so often makes him ecstatic. his joy is prominent on his face - there’s no denying the lovestruck look in his eyes every time he feels you reach for his hand to lead up to your lips
he lets you know just how much he likes having you kiss his hands too, both with his sweet words of praise and heartfelt gestures of love. each of your kisses are quickly returned with arms haphazardly thrown around your shoulders paired with none other than his own pair of lips pressed clumsily onto your cheeks
kalim knows no bounds when it comes to expressing his love for his s/o, and this innocent yet somewhat vexing trait of his comes out to be especially prominent deeper into the relationship. over time, he himself picks up a small habit of leaving his own fluttering kisses on the back of your hands in an easy, involuntary response to yours

leona can't help but find it a little strange at first - what sort of pleasure exactly were you getting from placing a couple of measly kisses onto his hands ? nonetheless, the oddness of it doesn't puzzle him enough to make him push you way from it. he lets you indulge yourself as much as you'd like !
his reactions to your kisses are scarce, really. he doesn't bat an eye, instead opting to letting you have your fun as long as you keep your disturbances to a minimum. he grows so used to having you do so that he gets easily irritated by not having his fill of kisses for a day. dire cases require quick resolutions, so leona takes it upon himself to seek you out when he feels as though you could've spared a few more kisses
even though he's the one who grows to become rather fond of your quirk, leona wastes no time in teasing you about it. his voice is haughty, laced with the utmost pride as he mouths off about how you just cant seem to get enough of him. his hand is slack in yours, large and rough and at your mercy to do what ever you'd like to do with it
when leona's in the mood to get you flustered, he grabs your hands just as you're reaching for his. his smirk is cocky, eyes gleaming with clear amusement while he abruptly drags it up to his lips. his kisses to your hands are sloppy, a bit too firm and left with a brief nip of your skin with his teeth. his laughter is deep, and you only have a brief second to reel in your surprise before he wraps an arm around the back of your neck to pull your lips onto his

the second time he feels you patting his head isn’t given much of a better response; he pushes your hands off again, this time telling you to knock it off. his words come out whinier than he’d like them to, but he’s convinced that the ( faltering ) scowl on his face would be enough for you take him seriously
ace continues to fend your hands off his hair for the next couple of attempts until he grows used to just accepting your little act of affection </3 he’d meant no ill will behind his efforts to stop your head pats at first ! his prideful self just couldn’t wrap his head around the idea of you doing it out of fondness rather than out of petty condescendence

deuce takes every head pat in stride ! each head pat received symbolizes one instance of making his s/o happy in his mind. the look of fulfillment on his face is beyond endearing.
blushy deuce makes an appearance when you first pat his head. he doesn’t say much, instead staying quiet to accept your affection in peace. he’s satisfied, and awkwardly nods after you take your hand away. his mind races to settle on the proper reaction in the moment : how does he respond ? should he pat your head too ?

epel’s well aware that he too comes off as this gentle, soft-spoken guy. it’s always been an image he’s wanted to rebuke, to prove that he’s much more than what he looks like. now, with his ever-growing feelings for you, the urge to appear as a person manly enough to protect those he loves further buds
developing feelings for someone as reserved as you is enough to prove to him that he has yet another person to become tougher for. he wants to be someone you can rely on, maybe even a person you can let go around and be yourself with !!
more than anything, epel wants to look cool for you. for once, he wants to be the person who steps up for the person who has garnered his attention. any semblance of an idea of you finding him cool is immediately met with the most prideful grin you’ve ever seen from him. you, the one person he wants to particularly show off to, view him as cool ? it’s practically a dream come true !
even the idea of appearing weak to you horrifies epel. he wants to get your attention the right way, and what better way than to subtly show off when you’re around ? playing sports has always been enjoyable, but the gratification he gets from being able to pull something risky off during a game is unmatched
he approaches you to offer an invitation to a game of his in hopes of impressing you with his cool magift moves every so often - seeing you before matches pumps him up to do even better, to show you how cool he really can be !
actually getting close to you proves to be challenging for epel for two reasons : only presenting himself as that fragile “cute” boy from pomefiore to you certainly wouldn’t be enough to win over your affections. yet, coming up to you with his natural brash and temperamental character is bound to put you off, won’t it ?
regardless of how you perceive him at first, epel wants nothing more than for you to accept him as he is in his essence, and not for the timid front he puts up as a means to hide his true nature. he’d treat you the same way, of course it goes without saying, so he’d encourage you to open up bit by bit if it would mean getting to know who you are beyond your closed off exterior

riddle doesn’t develop feelings easily, but you’d best be sure that when he does find himself garnering special feelings towards a person they’ll be treated with his utmost respect and loyalty. his politeness towards you is charming, even. it comes naturally to him - identifying and respecting your boundaries is almost like a sixth sense to him
your quiet nature’s endearing to him,, and he appreciates the hush, pleasant moments he can spend with you. being around you is akin to taking in a breath of fresh air for riddle, seeing as though his duties as dorm leader can be headache inducing on some days.
he’s always quick to reprimand those who seem to be a bother to you ! his defenses dont go unnoticed by certain members of his dorm, much to his disdain. he tries his best to keep a level head when you’re around, but there’s only so much teasing riddle can take before growing irritated . . . he hides away for a day or two whenever he unintentionally loses his temper in front of you - whether it’s to repress the memory or to memory prepare himself to not do it again,, he isn’t too sure
pure yearning and curiosity is what drives riddle to push himself to act on his thoughts of possibly getting closer to you! he’d have a very brief denial stage about his feelings towards you, genuinely taking a moment to step back and consider whether his feelings really were just those of one wanting to befriend another, or if they were in fact feelings of a teenage boy with a heart fluttering crush
he’s thought about inviting you to one of his dorm’s unbirthday parties, but ultimately decided against inviting you in case it would make you uncomfortable to be around so many strangers. instead, he settles on inviting you to spend time with him in private, in a way where it would be just you and him and the hedgehogs ! riddle’s quite fond of the hedgehogs himself, so he makes sure to keep them around while you’re over in case you’d find yourself warming up to the small animals just as he had
silences between the both of you are sometimes filled with attempted small talk . . . though they do turn out to be a little awkward on the occasion. he indulges you to be polite, maybe even in subtle hopes of managing to crack through your closed off exterior by his courteous words alone
little by little, riddle tries his best to share some of his interests with you. although he isn't the best cook, he makes efforts to bake a few sweet treats to share with you behind closed doors. he offers small bits of himself, and, despite himself, finds that his feelings grow deeper the more time he sets aside to be with you
