魔術 —– At least he had accepted what was left of the curative liquid she had carefully saved for him; truly, she did heal faster than most other people as she had stated verbally to him, a small blessing that came with her bloodline. Glancing at him from the corner of her eye, she watched as he swallowed the last of the potion, his lips twisting into a grimace briefly as it hit his tongue and worked its way down his throat. Good, at least that should tide him over until he was able to reconnect with his own people.
Now that her breathing had all but evened out, Lulu was able to take stock of her surroundings. The cave in which they had found shelter in wasn’t overly large, but it was’t a tight squeeze either. Should they be stuck her throughout the night, there would be room enough for her to make a fire for the both of them and for her to bed down for what would inevitably be a few hours of broken sleep. –Not ideal in the slightest, but then, she had found herself in worsesituations. The mage knew to count her blessings when she happened upon them.
A silence had fallen between the pair, one that went on long enough for her to close her eyes and be on the verge of dozing. That was, until the male in her present company spoke up. Was he reprimanding her, or was he showing some form of concern? It wouldn’t be a stretch to think that his words were laced with both.
❝Sometimes we get little choice in the situations we find ourselves in… however, I appreciate your concern.❞
❛ i think your choice should have been fairly clear in this given case. haven’t you seen the statistics–? ❜ his attempt to verbally express his concern failed, his tone possessing that of irritation. noctis couldnt blame her for how the situation unraveled, && compared to other conclusions- he’d have to say it ended up rather well. they were both alive, after all. yet, the prince couldnt shake off this need to protect her.
lips pursing into a thin line, he forced his being into an upright stance, ignoring the sharp pain in his side as he searched his pockets for a flashlight. ❛ i don’t know if you’re from around here, but even i have heard about deadeye. its just.. not wise to venture around here alone. ❜ funny, coming from the guy who went on a chocobo ride by himself. pulling the small device && hooking it onto his jacket, his flicked the switch on && scanned the area once again. who knows who long the two would be hiding out here, might as well become acquainted with the surrounding area- he might even be able to salvage some supplies.
turning on his heel, he faced the other- pausing at the sight rendered before him. in the chaos, noctis hadn’t taken in the time to break the strangers physical form down-- he barely had time to do anything, with a beast breathing down his neck. raven tresses were brought into a bun, her bangs slipped through && concealed half of her visage. she was dressed in an odd collage of gathered leather-- belts overlapping one another && in truth, he had lost track of where one begun && another ended. however, the one feature that held his attention was the sole crimson optic peering back at him.
did she too, possess the ability to see others fate?
quickly deeming the coloration to be the lack of lighting in the cave, noctis turned his gaze to the trail before him. ❛ im going to take a look around, you should rest for the time being. ❜
