Father of the Year (2018) Directed by Tyler Spindel
Atonement (2007)
Seeing goodnight sweetheart writers is truly epic && is waking up Pheebs
One dictum I had learned on the battlefields of France in a far distant war: You cannot save the world, but you might save the man in front of you, if you work fast enough.
I want to go on a trip with you, we can go wherever you like.
Because one day,
I believe
We will be happy.
@baptizedbyfires:
James blinked briefly in the dim light of the late evening, still not quite accustomed to navigating the new surroundings after returning within the usual chaotic atmosphere of the day but he also wasn’t stupid enough to deny it in case he became lost.
“ I don’t think so..though I really don’t fancy being too much of a bother to you, miss.” He mumbled sheepishly with a slight polite smile tugging at the corner of his mouth.
It took Katie a great deal of self restraint not to request him to repeat what he said. She was certain the surprise currently grasping tight of her was reflected on her countenance too. A man in uniform had addressed her without the additional leering comment on her looks and assets and without the lurid suggestion of joining him in his room to tuck him in.
She blinked and shook her head, shaking awake the shock. “No, no, don’t be silly - I’ll take you, can’t have you wandering about by yourself can we, eh?” Immediately endeared to him for his manners and gentlemanly ways, she tossed him another smile as she took the few steps to him to clear the gap between them. “What’s your name? I can’t go about calling you soldier it’s so impolite.”
I’ll be seeing you is Katie’s absolute favourite song && she absolutely daydreams of a future where she can dance to it in the sitting room of her own home with her own person.
&& she would close her eyes and dream…
that she was h o m e.
I can be i m p u l s i v e…
I just need time to think about it first
"Am I the last one?"
Hurried steps came to a stop as Katie heard the question put to her. With the watchful moon high in the sky and barely a sound acrossed the base, she was just finishing up herself before retiring - hoping for a wink or two of sleep before the bombers came back with more wounded for her to tend to from the front.
“‘Fraid so, soldier.” Lifting her wrist to see her watch, she added. “About half an hour by my reckoning.” Her gaze finally falling on him, auburn curls freed from her chignon framing her face, Katie took him in, a sympathetic smile gracing full lips. “I’ll not tell don’t worry - do you know the way in the blackout?”

Wartime Starters
"We have no choice. We have to go in there."
"Forged by fire, we are united in one cause!"
"We fight for our homes. We fight for our freedom. We fight for very survival."
"War never solved anything. It only makes life more miserable for everyone."
"We must delve into the darkness. Sometimes bad things have to be done for the good."
"Do you even hear yourself? What happened to you?"
"I'm not letting you go. They'll kill you."
"You want to do what? No. That's suicide."
"No, don't let practicality get in the way."
"We can do this. I know we can."
"Stand firm! We can take them!"
"I think we found your inner mad scientist."
"I can still smell it, you know. I can't forget that smell."
"We go in and hit them hard. They'll never know what happened."
"All we have to do is last the night. Reinforcements will come in the morning."
"We're going to win this one, aren't we?"
"Hey! Hey! Stay with me. Don't you fall asleep yet."
"Does anyone know we're here?"
"There's no damn reason why we're out here. We're all just killing one another."
"This is going to be a one way trip, isn't it?"
"How is any of this going to change anything?"
"We have to stop them here. We're the last line of defense."
"Does it matter what my gender is or the color of my skin? We're all dead if we don't win."
"I take orders from no man."
"We could run, you know."
"There's no such thing as bomb proof."
"Am I the last one?"
"Hope? There's no hope here."
"We aren't going to be able to tell who is who out there."
"Can we move through this fog?"
"I'm no hero. I just did my job."
"I don't know about you, but I expect to get out of this alive and in one piece."
