If things had gone as planned I’d be riding back from the coast of Maine towards New York right about now, but the best laid plans... . Instead I’m sitting reminiscing about times when my bike was in one piece and I was out on the road. Stumbled across this weirdly cropped photo on the web a while back. I guess google photos wanted me to rediscover this day for some reason. Dumb apps. I built this little shovel three years ago and was scrambling to get it done for a Dice/prism party in Charlotte. A few days prior it was a bunch of unfinished parts scattered all over the shop. Somehow I managed to get it into one piece the day of the party. I rolled it off the lift and out into the sun for the first time, snapped this photo then tossed it in the back of the truck and headed to snug harbor. Maybe someday I’ll find the time and motivation to build another bike as nice as this one was. .
