The multimodal text resource that i have chosen is a piece i have created myself. It is called “Have a Go Charlie!”. In this text written and visual modes are used.

I would use this text as a mentor text in an art unit to show how expressions can be shown through colors, to show how texts can be cross curricular (between art, english and science) and to look at narrative construction.

These resources are extremely useful in planning and creating lesson sequences. They cover the three areas of questioning, and focus on different themes reflected in the text. Teachers can use the resource as a reference to create lessons themselves.

This resource is useful in comparing student growth. This resource can cover all areas of the curriculum.

Sunshine Online is a digital literacy resource. They have an abundant amount of e-books that can be accessed. These e-books consists of various genres and reading levels. Additionally, many of these books are interactive. This website also includes other interactive activities for students to access. The target audience of this resource is students in the junior year levels of primary school (Prep - Year 4).

This poster resonates to me as it acts as a guide for students to pursue reading facilitated by their own interests. Allowing students to have choice in their reading will on bring about positive results. Ensuring that students don’t encounter novels that are too difficult is also positive, as they will not be deterred if they are incapable of reading a novel, and instead will search for another book.

One of my all time favourite books was Fantastic Mr Fox by Roald Dahl. I had read this book back in year 2, and although a small part of the entire story, the image of the children dancing around the 3 farmers while singing their "Boggis, Bunce and Bean" song filled me with glee. As time has passed, I still look back on this book, remembering the fond memories of my child self messing about like the children in Fantastic Mr Fox and even moreso Mr Fox himself.
