May I present to you Wheel Running In the Wild, a published research paper that delights me to no end:
This paper intended to test whether would mice would run on a wheel if they found one, to try and determine if this was a natural behavior or a stress response in captivity. They put a wheel in a protected little box with a camera that took pictures any time the wheel turned, and tallied up how often it was used by what.
Mice were, happily, the most common users of the wheel, and their patterns of use indicated they were doing so voluntarily once they figured it out.
But the second most common users.
Those were slugs.

Capitalism needs unemployment to function. it's not a mistake.
unemployment drives labor prices down through competition, and lets Capitalists set the price as the buyer of labor. when someone is guaranteed to die, you will do anything for it to not be you.
this one part of is how capitalism ruins people, and exploits labor for profit.
Sometimes I worry I'm "lazy" but later find myself able to perform a number of other tasks without issue. It's almost like "laziness" is a symptom of a hyper individualistic world rather than being an actual observation of human behavior
I struggle to get out of bed < I think I'm lazy
I give it 20% at work to avoid burnout < I think I'm lazy
I get home and struggle to cook dinner, eat and clean < I think I'm lazy
Someone I know has a technical issue < hello I'm your personal tech support and I will not rest until I have a diagnosis
It's almost like humans evolved to work in communities together so their different skills and ableness allowed for greater success.... No... That's stupid let's make everyone expected to do everything on their own
the amount of lawsuits these exploited children are going to be filing 20 years from now is going to be crazy and im all for it
