there's something about having an old guard of the Hollywood film industry constantly getting huge budgets to make sequels and remakes and reboots of all their old shit, casting the same ancient actors and de-aging them when required, even declaring that AI is the future of filmmaking because then even after they die we'll all just be watching auto generated remixes of their films over and over and over again, that's just so deeply miserable and sickening. A circle of withered fossils who at any time could've walked away with their obscene wealth and let people with actual ideas and skill take their place but simply refusing to, knarled ghouls gripping to the reigns as tight as they can so nobody can knock them off the horse. bleak fucking stuff.
