In this survey I am trying to see how much culture, ethnicity, race, religion and economic status affect trans people and in what ways. This is the 1st part of a research paper about the issues trans people who are not white, wealthy and privileged have to go through.

Hey y’all! I was told by my professors a while ago to try to start making my own research paper to see how it goes. So, I decided to do it. (If they like it, I can present it at my college). 

There are 27 questions but you don’t have to do a lot of writing. It’s pretty short and fast, it should take you maybe 15-20 minutes. This survey is just to get an idea of where I want to go with this so I’d really appreciate anyone who takes it. 

I want white and wealthy people to take this as well, I need data from all sides.

Voice Drop (?) + Trans* apps

So this is a thing I just remembered I did it’s not consistent or anything but the first point is pre-t and the second is last week at about two weeks on T. This app is pretty cool and helps with my voice dysphoria. Even though I had a stutter growing up and it really resurfaces when I read the passages this app gives me but it’s all for progress tracking amiright?! Not sure how accurate this really is but for my mental health I’ll just go with very 😂 this app is Voice Pitch Analyzer, btw.

Also here are a few apps and an in-app screenshot for each one 😊 hope this’ll help someone out there. Not sure how helpful some of these will be for transfeminine/femme aligned folk but here they are anyway:

Refuge Restrooms: safe locations with gender neutral, accessible, single occupancy restrooms for trans* individuals.

Binder Reminder: alarms set to remind you to stretch and take off your binder to reduce risk of injury

TestoMemo: reminder of T (shot) day. [The date is written dd/mm/yyyy, don’t get spooked like I did when I first saw it lol.]

Officially 2 weeks post top surgery! Slowly getting back into the swing of things and enjoying a nice day outside by the pool. I wish I could just jump in but I know I have to take it easy.

My boyfried is stranded and can’t get home!!

My boyfriend @dreamteacherx who recently got a job in England has been ‘let go’ along with a few other emplyees. The job wasn’t right for him and has been causing more problems that not.

Hes not due his first paycheque for the work he has done for another 3+ weeks but has to make his way home to Scotland today!

His train ticket from York is costing £107 and we jist dont have that money. I am on ESA (benefits) and he has no income and no way of getting home!

We’ve tried everything and we’re out of luck and ideas. He needs to come home today but i dont know how and i cant have him stranded in England with no where to live (as job gave him accomidation) £25 to his name and no family/friends!!!

Please boost this post we really need all the help we can get so he came make it home! My paypal email is

Tips for respecting a trans/non-binary persons name and pronouns

I know it can be hard to start using new pronouns and a new name, my family still has a problem sometimes and I even misgender myself once in a while so here are some ways to help you get used to new names/pronouns as well as some things we all need to remember:

Never purposely use the wrong name/pronouns out of spite or anger or for any other reason: It is never okay to purposely misgender someone so just don’t do it. We understand if you make mistakes but if you do it on purpose then honestly you’re just being awful and are probably really hurting that person

Correct yourself when someone tells you that you used the wrong name/pronouns: It’s not hard to apologize and correct yourself, and I am sure that whoever corrected you greatly appreciates it if you do. Be humble and admit when you’ve made a mistake, your pride means nothing beside someone’s emotional wellbeing 

Whenever you think of that person repeat their name/pronouns in your head: This is a good habit that can help you get used to changing pronouns and/or names. If you think of that person, repeat the pronouns and/or name 3 or 4 times. Soon it will become second nature and you’ll have to worry much less about messing them up

Use the correct name and pronouns even when speaking about that person in the past: Most people don’t like when you use their deadnames and old pronouns, no matter the situation. It reminds them of their transness (if they are trans) and that’s not always the best thing. Using their chosen name and pronouns is the better bet in that situation unless they say otherwise or give you explicit permission to use their deadname and previous pronouns. This also helps avoid any mix-ups or accidentally outing someone to others
