ok full thots abt bly manor bc i just finished and im a wreck (under the cut bc spoilers, duh)

wasn’t?? really as scary as hill house to me. tho when the scares hit they hit GOOD.

dani and jamie literally made me so <3 <3 <3 i dont rly love the non happy ending but i get why they did it!! literally none of the romances ended happy!!! they actually got the happiest ending of them all!!!

hannah and owen were cute too!! im such a sucker for a cute softie breaking down a more guarded characters walls!! again, wish there was a happy ending, but i get why there wasnt!!

the kid actors like. were not as good as the hill house ones At All but i still liked them!!

peter Bad and his actions Bad and his motives Bad but also. god i could not help but feel sorry for him at times. i actually really like how they gave him that tiny bit of?? not exactly redemption but like an understandable motive for some of his actions and then had becca backtrack it with the ‘no one should ever need that much help from you’ line. but also like. ojc scottish accent sexy. 

rahul was EASILY my favourite performance, hands down. that fucking campfire scene, w the monologue abt his mother in e4??? if he doesnt get a fucking EMMY NOMINATION for that i will SCREAM

e4, e8 and e9 are the highlights for me. e4 had some of the strongest performances of the entire show, and the dani/jamie montage that was e9 both made my heart feel so full and also CRUSHED me. e8 is a bit more... interesting. i can see why people might NOT like it, interrupting the whole show to give a backstory to one barely significant character. that honestly kinda annoyed me too. BUT. but. as a sucker for period pieces?? i also fucking LOVED that episode.
