First off, my AU is called "Ameliorate", which means to "make a bad situation better". In this case, the bad situation is the entirety of JJK lmao. Despite me calling it my comfort AU, there's still a lot of angst and drama and blood and stuff, because the bad things happening makes the good things feel even better (+ I like to torture Satoru the characters because I'm a sadist) 💕
This AU started off as a simple "Satoru Is Trans And Nothing Else Changes" AU, but then it spiralled into "What If Satoru Being Trans And Accidentally Getting Pregnant Could Rewrite The Narrative?" And that's how I ended up with several drabbles of random ass fic drafts and a whole Pinterest board of 1.3K pins hahaha.
Anywho, the short version of our inciting incident is that during the time JJK 0 takes place, Satoru finds out he's 5 months pregnant 👹 And of course, Suguru is the father because he and him have been secretly hooking up every few months for a few years (much to Shoko's chagrin). The timeline here is kinda weird because I haven't seen JJK 0 in forever, so it will probably need adjusting- But working with the current version: Satoru gets pregnant in mid-2017, somewhere in July I think?
(Again, the dates and lengths of things might be subject to change :3)
He and Shoko have to tell everyone, including Suguru, on the day that Suguru declares war in canon (I'm not quite sure when exactly that happens but my brain assumed it was December) - except he doesn't declare war here because… baby lol 😆 Which eliminates the possibility of most catastrophic events of JJK 0 and possibly S1-S2 of JJK from happening. And yeah, the reveal was a whole mess; Yaga yells at Satoru, Suguru's family cross-question him, Utahime tweaks out, Mei Mei the capitalist demon weighs the odds of people finding out about Satoru and Suguru's lovechild, and Shoko has to keep everyone from stressing Satoru out.
The curse users and jujutsu sorcerers (and Satoru's students, Yuta, Maki, Toge, and Panda) end up having to ally themselves to help protect Satoru and the baby from bounty hunters and other ill-intended curse users who want to kill the baby 'cause they're awful (also for money) 😠
Suguru doesn't ever return to jujutsu society nor does he want to but he does start to turn over a new leaf. Satoru gets closer with Suguru's family (especially Mimiko and Nanako), and Satoru and Suguru get close with each other again as time goes on. Their kids also bond together, like the siblings they're meant to be 🥺 The baby, named Sakuru, ends up being born a month early, in March 2018.
The labour scene is actually one of my favourite 'cause when I started writing it, I almost killed Satoru because he may or may not have ended up in borderline critical condition- He's fine now obviously hehehe.
Then the rest of the show from S1 onwards proceeds like normal, with Yuji and Nobara joining Jujutsu High, and the whole Sukuna thing, and the exchange event, and mostly everything else, but this time there's a baby girl and a former cultist around lmao (and Satoru and Suguru are dating now too).
There are some things that I want to change from canon in this AU, but I'm not sure how important they are to certain characters' development, specifically Yuji...
Like I don't want Junpei or Nanami to die but what if that's important to Yuji's character???
Satoru's still very much going to get sealed away and Megumi will still get possessed but EVERYTHING'S GOING TO END HAPPILY IS MY POINT 😤
One of the many reasons I love this AU is because everything is forcing Satoru to slow tf down for once and focus on himself, which simultaneously goes extremely well and extremely badly. Like this is Satoru's entire mental state during the pregnancy:
THE MAN HAS NO IDEA WHAT TO DO WITH HIMSELF 🥲 He's so vulnerable, physically and emotionally, in a way he's not used to being, and it's one of my favourite things to write ever haha.
I'm also having a lot of fun covering Suguru's perspective on things, it's really interesting to write his thoughts and conflicting feelings about everything that's going on.
ONE OF THE OTHER REASONS I LOVE THIS AU IS SATORU WITH POST-PARTUM BODY. IT'S LIKE A DIFFERENT FLAVOUR OF CHUBBYJO. I ADORE IT SO MUCH. IT'S SO PERFECT.

The higher ups would be so so so bad about this, probably the ones behind the new bounties </3 but Tsumiki and Megumi gaining 2 new siblings with 1 on the way is sooo cute🥺 I can see Tsumiki being super excited for it at first bc it's like gaining new live-in forever friends but after a while it wears off, she starts feeling excluded from the family since she's the only non-sorcerer. The twins would probably say some off-color things about "people like her" from time to time, making her sad and Megumi much more unaccepting of this change.
Speaking of Megumi, he hates this. Geto is a freak and his family is loud 😭 Geto ignores his sister for the most part and that's already hurtful but now Megumi worries about Gojo in a way he never had to before. Seeing him overly emotional and dealing with all the sickness and pain that comes with being pregnant is scary! Gojo has always been the one to take care of everything without needing a break, and now he needs help standing and struggles to make it from his office to the classroom. I can't decide if Megumi would fight less or even more at school, on one hand everything is changing and that's super stressful but on the other he doesn't want to cause more problems for Gojo asdfghjk he's also totally okay with not being the baby anymore and isn't at all worried Gojo's replacing them with a new better family. Trust.
Geto working hard to unlearn his knee jerk reactions to non-sorcerers because he really wants to be there for Gojo and their new baby 🥺rejoining their friend group, being able to picture a happy future for himself and his family. Him worried about how the girls would react but they were delighted at the news and of course they love Gojo. They bring him all sorts of sweets and like to gossip with him. Mimiko likes listening to him read and Nanako will sit with him and watch all the movies ever. They compile lists of baby names and help pick out clothes and toys for the nursery 🩷🩷🩷
It's evil for you to even consider killing gojo Having a little tiny bby on campus with the first years is adorable and just might kill me!! Going to pick Nobara up like they did but Gojo has a little fussy thing in a baby sling 😭🥺🩷 Maybe her initial assessment of Megumi changes cuz he's clearly a doting big brother 😭 when Gojo needs a break Megumi will take Sakuru from him, and he's always entertaining her when (he thinks) no ones looking.
Also the separation anxiety for everyone but especially Gojo and Sakuru when he gets put in time out??? 🥺🥺🥺 She must've been crying nonstop for her papa and Gojo clawing at his enclosure not knowing how much of her life he's going to miss !! This whole past year has been hectic in ways hes never dealt with before, and just when he begins to grow soft he gets captured like this 💔 after-escapey Satoru also finding out about Megumi and having to plan for the fight. Thinking about every way this fight can go wrong and planing for if he doesn't return... OUGH

i also like to think its not necessary for a sorcerer to have a near death experience for growth (and that gojo teaching it is is just a coping mechanism)

Omg yes I think about this so often!! Was it something silly, a little argument? Maybe it was just a mundane meal with everyone after a mission, or Megumi listening to Gojos rambling because it's soothing no matter how much he denies it 🥺 Having plans to tell each other something later, wanting to say something important and never getting the chance to 💔 Not knowing that the conversation you're having will be your last with someone you love makes me feel so ‼️‼️‼️
The last time we know they spoke was when Gojo called the kids in and assigned them their top secret mission and fell asleep like a cutie waiting on them🥺 but I would assume they've talked after that, since that was still a little while before Shibuya (i think at the very beginning of October?)
When it's all over and Megumi has time to process everything he probably can't even recall the last time they spoke and it hurts 💔💔💔
Oh I've been meaning to ask: what's your a/b/o headcanon for Satoru and/or SatoSugu, if you have one? Personally, I like alpha x alpha, alpha (Suguru) x omega (Satoru), and omega x omega.
Usually I headcanon Satoru as an omega because he has so many damn children + omegas are apparently rare so that, in combination with having Limitless and the Six Eyes, makes sense to me :3 AND it goes against the trope of "weak omega" because HE'S THE STRONGESTTT 😤
I tend to avoid Suguru being the omega unless he and Satoru are both omegas because I am sooo DONE with everyone making Suguru the omega just because: "h-he's feminine and motherly and obviously the bottom s-so he must be the pretty little omega 🥺" like just- STOP PLEASE 🙏 HE CAN BE A MOTHERLY OMEGA WITHOUT BEING A MEEK LITTLE DAINTY BOTTOM 😭💔
I also like alpha x alpha SatoSugu because then we have no arguments over who's the omega :D Plus, given the reputation (stereotype?) of alphas being "strong and powerful", it would make sense for them!

I always read alpha!geto/omega!gojo because as you said, gojo is literally the poster child for the "accidental child acquisition" tag. He loves to take in kids 🥺!!!! That, and I too hate the feminization of geto with a burning passion. I rant about it a lot to my friends actually asdfghjk
The drama of him being an omega is also just super yummy to me?? He's the strongest sorcerer alive! He's tall, loud and dominating and doesn't follow social norms. He's expected to be an alpha, it's the only logical outcome. So when he turns out to be an omega it's a huge shock. Him dealing with that and how society/the elders treat him now is so fun to read about, I can't get enough <3
My headcanons for this are pretty limited other than entire fic plots but I do like to think gojo wouldn't notice his scent changing from the (apparently 😭) milky un-presented pup scent to a sweet cocoa butter smell. That scent for him could be fun since its such a gentle shift, the people around him could second guess their noses for a while. Him smelling like burnt chocolate when upset or more chocolate-y when all happy and flustered is also pretty cute to me 🩵
