Feminizing Make-up Tutorial ft. New Brushes! | Stef Sanjati
A makeup tutorial aimed at transfeminine people who are looking to use makeup to alter their looks! While she talks about her own individual regime, Stef also talks about ways to tailor it to what you want, e.g. whether you’re looking for a dramatic look or not, how some parts differ between skin tones, etc.
She’s an ex-makeup artist who knows her stuff!
TRANS WOMEN: HERE'S SOME SHIT YOUR DOCTOR WONT TELL YOU ABOUT HRT
1. Progesterone: not for everyone, but for many people it may increase sex drive and WILL make your boobs bigger. Also effects mood in ways that many find positive (but some find negative). Most doctors won’t prescribe this to you unless you ask. Most trans girls I know swear by it.
2. Injectible estrogen: is more effective than pill or patch form. Get on it if you can bear needles bc you will see more effects more quickly.
3. Estradiol Cypionate: There is currently a shortage of injectible estradiol valerate. There is no shortage of estradiol cypionate. Functionally they do the same shit.
4. Bicalutamide: This is an anti-androgen that has almost none of the side-effects of spironolactone or finasteride. The girls I know who are on it are evangelical about it.
@euryale-dreams
I need to look into bicalumatide
Gonna seccond this, Progesterone was a big game changer for me this year. I don’t know why my doctor didn’t suggest this to me when I explicitly stated when I started my transition that my sex drive is a big thing for me and I have a hard time maintaining my self esteem without one.
Seriously it is the -best- hormone I’ve been on.
Ok so this is the post that actually got me on to my Bicalutamide research lately and I’m having a really hard time finding other people with experiences of it. I’ll paste in some stuff I’ve found below along with some links - hopefully y’all find it useful and if anyone has had any experience with it please let me know whatever you can? I’d really appreciate it.
Progesterone seems to be kinda hit and miss, or at least there’s a lot of ppl saying how great it is and others saying it’s terrible. I think doctors don’t prescribe it by default cos on increased risk of depression and counteracts Estrogen, can increase risk of blood clots and other stuff. On the plus side it’s supposed to help your boob growth and sex drive so… I guess swings and roundabouts?
Anyway here’s my bic info.
Quick Q, wondering if anyone has any experience with bicalutamide (commonly Casodex) as an AA rather than Spiro?
My initial research over the past ~4 hours or so leads me to believe that it’s practically a wonder drug, with few side effects (i.e. it’s not a diuretic so no constant peeing, no issues with potassium and hyperkalemia).
Supposedly it works well with quite a low dose too, and elevates the effect of estrogen because of it’s method of action. It’s usually used to treat prostate cancer and I don’t think it’s had much (if any) studies done as an AA for trans use specifically so I dunno if any doctor would prescribe it usually.
I’ve read various stuff about how it supposedly will massively reduce unwanted body hair growth (even permanently if you take it for long enough), doesn’t cause shrinkage or effect libido (may be plus or minus for you obvs!) and because of its long half life you only need to take a pill every 2-3 days.
Negative side effects, well I’ve heard that the 150mg dose has been pulled as a cancer treatment in Canada and the UK due to increase death rate. It apparently works by blocking androgen receptors but doesn’t reduce T production so there’s a lot of free T in your system (meaning measuring levels is useless), some of which can get converted to E and the rest you pee out. Note I may be wrong on any of this stuff. Sources:

I’ve read all those links but obvs it’s just the tip of the iceberg and there are contradictions abound. Some reckon it’s great and amazing and safe and some reckon it’s super risky (it IS very potent, that everyone agrees on!)
Anyway just wondering if anyone had had any experience with this
When I say “trans women are women”, I say it because I genuinely believe it on a pure, intuitive level. I can’t even fathom an alternative. Trans women are women, and they’re the most beautiful women I’ve ever seen.
I decided to create a masterpost that would help you with what you are struggling with. Hopefully any of the links below will help you! Reminder; You’re going to be okay. What you are going through will pass, just remember to breathe.
